Ramirez cracked an RBI double in the first inning and later delivered the game-winning RBI single in the top of the 10th inning to help lift Miami to victory. While the rookie catcher doesn't reach base at a high clip, carrying a .299 OBP with a 6.2 percent walk rate, his power has been a clear strength. Marlins' Agustin Ramirez: Homer powers victory
Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and four RBI in Friday's 6-2 win over Atlanta.
Ramirez knocked out his 11th home run of the season, a big three-run home run that proved to be all the Marlins would need to win the game. The rookie has been excellent in his debut campaign while splitting time between catcher and designated hitter, slashing .239/.290/.458 in his 201 at-bats. The hits have come in bunches for the 23-year-old lately -- he has five multi-hit games over his last 13 contests, but only 13 total hits over that same timeframe -- so the next step will be finding a way to develop more consistency.

Marlins' Agustin Ramirez: Smacks two solo homers
Ramirez went 3-for-5 with two solo home runs and an additional run scored in Friday's 11-9 win over the Nationals.
Ramirez -- who went 0-for-18 with five strikeouts in his four games prior to Friday -- wasted no time getting the Marlins on the board with a solo homer in the first inning, and the 23-year-old backstop followed that up with another solo shot in the fourth. Ramirez is up to 10 home runs this season, which leads all rookies and is tied with Shea Langeliers (oblique) for fifth most among catchers.

Marlins' Agustin Ramirez: Slugs eighth homer
Ramirez went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's loss to the Rays.
The rookie backstop took Zack Littell deep in the fourth inning to get the Marlins on the board. While Ramirez has slowed down at the plate since a blistering start to his career, he's avoided any prolonged slumps -- the 23-year-old hasn't gone more than two straight games without a hit since the beginning of May, slashing .244/.308/.429 over his last 30 contests with five of his eight homers and 14 of his 19 RBI.
