  • White Sox's Luis Robert: Knee injury ends season

Robert was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a mild left MCL sprain, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports. Robert suffered the injury during Sunday's win over the Red Sox and an MRI on Monday revealed the sprain. While the injury is considered relatively minor, a 2-to-4 week timetable is more than enough to end Robert's season with so little time left. It was a marvelous 2023 campaign for Robert, who slashed .264/.315/.542 with 38 home runs and 20 stolen bases across 145 games.

  • White Sox's Luis Robert: Could be headed to IL

Robert (knee) could be placed on the 10-day injured list, which would end his season, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Van Schouwen hears that Tyler Naquin is expected to join the White Sox, which would seem to point to a stint on the IL for Robert, who exited Sunday's game in Boston with a left knee injury. The injury isn't believed to be serious, but with so little time remaining in the season, there would be little incentive to push Robert to return. If his campaign is indeed over, Robert would finish 2023 having slashed .264/.315/.542 with 38 home runs and 20 stolen bases.

  • White Sox's Luis Robert: Dealing with sore knee

Robert was removed from Sunday's game against the Red Sox with left knee soreness, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Robert suffered the injury on a slide into second for a successful stolen base after he worked a walk during the first inning Sunday. The 26-year-old outfielder will be evaluated Monday after the team returns to Chicago and should be considered day-to-day in the meantime.

  • White Sox's Luis Robert: Departs with apparent injury

Robert was removed from Sunday's game at Boston with an apparent knee injury, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Robert walked during the first inning but had an awkward slide into second base, and the training staff appeared to be checking out his knee before he exited the contest. The 26-year-old had regularly been plagued by injuries over the previous two seasons, but he's stayed healthy in 2023 with a career-high 145 games played.

  • White Sox's Luis Robert: Hits 311-foot difference-maker

Robert went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 1-0 win over Boston. Robert provided the thunder in Saturday's rain-soaked pitcher's duel, tucking a low liner just fair of Pesky's Pole in Boston for a ninth-inning homer that proved to be the game-winner. The ball left his bat at 95.4 mph and wouldn't have been a home run in any of the other 29 big-league ballparks. Regardless of the distance, it brings Robert's homer total for the season to 38 while hitting .264 with 36 doubles, 80 RBI, 90 runs scored and 19 steals across 143 games (585 plate appearances).

  • White Sox's Luis Robert: Two steals in Friday's loss

Robert went 1-for-4 with a run scored and two stolen bases in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Red Sox. He nearly manufactured Chicago's first run of the night by himself, swiping second and third base after a one-out single in the sixth inning before Andrew Vaughn brought him home on a grounder that Rafael Devers couldn't corral. The steals were Robert's first in September, but he's now one pilfer away from his first career 20-20 campaign -- through 143 games, he's slashing .264/.315/.539 with 37 homers, 19 steals, 79 RBI and 89 runs.

  • White Sox's Luis Robert: Three hits, homer in win

Robert went 3-for-4 with a double, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's loss against Washington. It's his first multi-hit game since Aug. 30. Robert is now 4-for-9 with a pair of homers in his last two games after going 0-for-16 with 10 strikeouts in his previous four contests. The 26-year-old outfielder appears to be rounding back into form down the stretch. Robert's been a bright spot overall for Chicago this season, slashing .265/.316/.543 with 37 homers, 88 runs scored, 79 RBI and 17 steals across 584 plate appearances.

  • White Sox's Luis Robert: Tallies 36th homer

Robert went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run Monday against the Nationals. Robert popped his first home run of the month and 36th of the season when he took Joan Adon deep in the fifth inning. • White Sox's Luis Robert: On bench Sunday

Robert is not in the lineup Sunday versus the Twins. Robert had started in 10 consecutive games since dealing with quadricep cramps. During that stretch, the outfielder went 6-for-40. Trayce Thompson will start in his place Sunday, batting sixth.

  • White Sox's Luis Robert: Mediocre since returning

Robert went 1-for-4 with an RBI on Sunday against the Tigers. Robert was forced to miss three games within the last week due to a quadriceps injury, though he returned to the lineup Wednesday. He's collected four hits across 16 at-bats since, driving in two and scoring two runs. Most importantly, he's remained in the lineup every day and has shown no signs of a setback.

  • White Sox's Luis Robert: Rejoins lineup Wednesday

Robert (quadriceps) is starting in center field and batting third Wednesday against the Royals. Robert sat out the past four games while managing a quadriceps cramp, but he'll return to action for Wednesday's series finale in Kansas City. • White Sox's Luis Robert: Sitting Tuesday, as expected

Robert (quadriceps) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game at Kansas City. Manager Pedro Grifol previously suggested Chicago was targeting Wednesday for Robert to rejoin the starting nine, so it's no surprise the outfielder will sit Tuesday for the third straight contest due to a right quadriceps cramp. Oscar Colas will shift to center field while Gavin Sheets receives the start in right.

  • White Sox's Luis Robert: Aiming for Wednesday return

White Sox manager Pedro Grifol said Monday that the team is "shooting for maybe Wednesday" for Robert's (quad) return to the lineup, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Robert will miss a third straight start Monday with a right quad cramp and is not expected to play Tuesday's either. "We're shooting for maybe Wednesday," Grifol said. "Which would be perfect because Thursday's off and we can go back to his normal schedule Friday. The most important thing is he's way better." It wouldn't be a surprise if Robert is ultimately held out through Wednesday, giving him an extra two days when combined with Thursday's off day. It does appear he'll avoid the injured list, but it might be difficult for fantasy managers to start him this week.

  • White Sox's Luis Robert: Held out of lineup again Monday

Robert (quad) remains out of the lineup for Monday's contest versus the Royals. Robert will miss a third straight start due to a right quad cramp. If you're looking for a silver lining, the White Sox made a few roster moves Monday and Robert remains on the active roster, which provides hope that he could be ready to play any day now. Trayce Thompson is in center field Monday.

  • White Sox's Luis Robert: Hoping for Monday return

Robert (quad) is hoping to return to the lineup for Monday's game versus the Royals, MLB.com reports. Robert was a late scratch from the White Sox' lineup each of the last two days due to cramping in his right quad. The issue seems to be relatively minor in nature, but the team will be extra cautious with the star outfielder so it's not a slam dunk that he will be back in action Monday. Oscar Colas has shifted over to center field to cover for Robert's absence.

  • White Sox's Luis Robert: Scratched from lineup

Robert (quadriceps) was scratched from the White Sox's lineup ahead of Sunday's game against Detroit, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports. Robert was a late scratch from Saturday's lineup as well due to cramping in his right quad, and it appears the issue has returned ahead of Sunday's contest. Oscar Colas will enter the lineup to replace Robert in center field and bat eighth.

  • White Sox's Luis Robert: Nursing quad cramp

Robert was a late scratch from Saturday's game versus the Tigers due to a right quad cramp, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports. • White Sox's Luis Robert: Gets rare day off

Robert is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics. Oscar Colas will shift over from right field to cover center while Robert sits for the first time since Aug. 13. With a .265 average, 34 home runs and 16 stolen bases in 124 games this season, Robert has been one of the few bright spots for the White Sox in the midst of a 51-79 season.

  • White Sox's Luis Robert: Slugs 33rd homer

Robert went 2-for-4 with a solo home run Saturday in a loss to the Rockies. Robert continued his impressive campaign with a monstrous 447-foot solo shot in the eighth inning. The outfielder has flashed a tantalizing skill set throughout his career, but until this season he'd struggled to stay healthy, topping out at 98 games last year. Robert has been able to mostly shed that issue in 2023, and he's thus emerged as an elite fantasy producer, posting a .273/.326/.568 slash line with 33 homers, 67 RBI, 76 runs and 16 steals over 481 plate appearances. Shohei Ohtani is the only other big-leaguer with at least 30 long balls and 10 thefts so far this season.
