The 25-year-old Batherson now has goals in three straight games and 12 points (five goals, seven assists) in his last 11 contests. He's up to 26 goals and 57 points, five shy of a career high, through 71 games this season while skating on the Senators' top line.

  • Senators' Drake Batherson: Scores in overtime

Batherson found the back of the net in a 2-1 overtime win over Pittsburgh on Tuesday. Batherson scored a goal on three shots, dished an assist, went plus-2 and added three hits in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Kings. Batherson has five goals and three assists over his last eight outings. He put together a solid performance Thursday, but the Kings got a little more balance from their offense to get the win. • Senators' Drake Batherson: Two assists snap five-game drought

Batherson had two assists in a 4-1 win over Dallas on Thursday. The points snapped a five-game pointless drought for Batherson. He's scuffled over the last month with only six points over his last 14 games dating back to Jan 20. And that has stalled his overall production. Batherson has 41 points in 54 games this season, but 35 of those came in his first 40 contests. He's still on pace to match his career-best 62 points (22 goals, 40 assists) from last season, but if his slump continues, he may fall short of that mark.

Batherson scored twice Wednesday in a 4-2 win over Toronto. Batherson knotted the game 2-2 in the second period when he stuffed in a rebound. He scored his second of the night, which stood as the winner, early in the third when he banked a shot off Martin Jones' back from behind the goal line. Batherson's current point streak sits at three games and five points, including three goals. He has 12 shots in those three games. Batherson is on pace for a career year, including 35 goals if he can maintain his current pace. He's an excellent trade target because the Sens have only played 30 games this season. That means they have anywhere between three and six games on hand over some of their opponents. It may not seem like much, but Batherson could help give you a much-needed push later in the season.
