  • Cardinals' Paris Johnson: Activated off PUP list

The Cardinals activated Johnson (undisclosed) off the active/PUP list Saturday.

Johnson is healthy again after having spent just two days on the PUP list due to an undisclosed issue. The 25-year-old will once again serve as Arizona's starting left tackle during the upcoming campaign.

  • Cardinals' Paris Johnson: Dealing with minor knee issue

Johnson, who was placed on the active/PUP list Thursday, is managing a knee injury that isn't considered serious, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Johnson finished last season on IR due to an MCL injury, and he's not quite ready to participate in training camp. However, coach Mike LaFleur said that the offensive lineman's placement on the PUP list was "really just maintenance" and indicated that Johnson will "be back before you know it." It sounds like Johnson is expected to be good to go by the beginning of the regular season, and he's slated to be Arizona's starting left tackle.

  • Cardinals' Paris Johnson: Beginning camp on PUP list

Johnson (undisclosed) was placed on the active/PUP list Thursday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Johnson will not be available for the start of training camp. The offensive tackle was unable to finish the 2025 regular season due to a knee issue, and it is unclear whether his current injury is related to last year's recovery process. Johnson had his fifth-year option picked up in April, so regardless of when the tackle is ready, he is set to return to play for the Cardinals through 2027.

  • Cardinals' Paris Johnson: Contract option picked up

The Cardinals have picked up their fifth-year option on Johnson's contract, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

Per the report, the option calls for just over $19 million for the 2027 season, though it's possible that the Cardinals and the offensive tackle could reach an agreement on an extension before then. The No. 6 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft finished up the 2025 regular season on IR due to a knee issue, but has since had ample time to recover, which puts Johnson on track to be healthy the next time Arizona takes the field.

  • Cardinals' Paris Johnson: Progressing in recovery

Johnson told reporters Monday that his knee injury will be fine "in a couple of weeks" and shouldn't impact his offseason training, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.

The third-year pro landed on injured reserve in late December after suffering an MCL injury during the Cardinals' Week 14 loss to the Rams. He started in 12 games prior to his injury and should be fully healthy for the start of training camp in July.

  • Cardinals' Paris Johnson: Moved to IR

The Cardinals placed Johnson (knee) on injured reserve Saturday.

Johnson sustained his MCL injury in the Cardinals' Week 14 loss to the Rams, and the offensive tackle's season has now officially ended. The 2023 first-rounder played his most snaps at tackle for the Cardinals this season, logging 804 total before succumbing to injury.
