The Commanders waived Allen on Tuesday, but he'll rejoin the organization a day later. The 23-year-old went undrafted out of UCLA during the offseason but will attempt to make an impression on Washington's practice squad.

Kazmeir Allen: Won't make team
Allen was waived by the Commanders on Tuesday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Allen joined the team as an undrafted free agent out of UCLA in May. After missing OTAs later that month due to a hamstring issue, he was able to take the field for training camp to attempt to earn a roster spot. Ultimately, the 23-year-old was unable to do so and will now have to hope for a spot on the practice squad.

Allen missed time during OTAs due to the hamstring injury, but it appears he's fully recovered for training camp. The 23-year-old signed with the Commanders in May after going undrafted out of UCLA. He'll work to earn a depth role in Washington's receiving corps.

Allen was absent during Wednesday's OTA session due to a hamstring injury, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
Allen, an undrafted rookie out of UCLA, has impressed during OTAs thus far, and assuming the hamstring issue isn't too significant, he could still have a good chance at cracking the 53-man roster heading into the upcoming season. During his collegiate career, Allen saw work as a wide receiver, running back and kick returner.
