  • Spencer Waege: Loses roster spot

Waege (concussion) was waived by the Packers on Tuesday.

Waege missed some time during camp while in the league's concussion protocols but was cleared to compete by cutdown day. The 25-year-old will now work toward new opportunities but still could end up on Green Bay's practice squad.

  • Packers' Spencer Waege: In concussion protocol

Waege did not participate in Tuesday's practice due to a concussion, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

Waege recorded two tackles in Sunday's preseason game against the Broncos and played 35 snaps (32 on defense, three on special teams). It's unclear whether he sustained the injury in Sunday's contest, but he will now be sidelined until he clears the league's concussion protocols. That puts Waege's availability for Saturday's preseason finale against Baltimore in jeopardy.
