Hamsah Nasirildeen: Let go by Jets
The Jets waived Nasirildeen (neck) from injured reserve Tuesday.
Nasirildeen sustained a neck injury during the Hall of Fame game against the Browns in the preseason and was placed on IR on Aug. 7. He was set to miss the entire season, but now that he's been released from the team, the 2021 sixth-round pick could land on another roster once he's fully recovered from his injury.

Nasirildeen (neck) will not return to Thursday's Hall of Fame Game against the Browns, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.

Nasirildeen was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Ethan Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.
Nasirildeen has strictly contributed on special teams since Week 2, as the rookie has been buried on the Jets' linebacker positional depth chart. Now healthy, Nasirildeen will continue to work at expanding his role in the Jets' defense.

Jets' Hamsah Nasirildeen: Lands on COVID-19 list
Nasirildeen (undisclosed) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Jets' Hamsah Nasirildeen: Gets activated
Nasirildeen (undisclosed) was activated from IR on Thursday.
Nasirildeen hasn't played since getting injured Oct. 3 against the Titans. The rookie sixth-round selection will provide some depth to a Jets linebacker group that has dealt with numerous injuries this season. Nasirildeen could get back on the field as soon as Thursday against the Colts.

Jets' Hamsah Nasirildeen: Designated for return from IR
Nasirildeen (undisclosed) was designated to return from injured reserve Tuesday, Ethan Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.
Nasirildeen was injured in an Oct. 3 game against the Titans and was placed on IR on Oct. 5. The rookie sixth-round selection had appeared in the first four Jets games before the injury, but only made appearances on special teams in Week 3 and 4. Now that he's been designated to return, Nasirildeen will work to get back on the field. If he's not ready for Week 9 Thursday against the Colts, he'll hope to return in Week 10 against the Bills.

Jets' Hamsah Nasirildeen: Shifts to injured reserve
Nasirildeen (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Ethan Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.
Nasirildeen apparently suffered an injury during Sunday's win over the Titans, and he'll be sidelined for at least the next three games. The rookie sixth-round pick exclusively played special teams the past two weeks, so his absence shouldn't affect the Jets' defensive gameplans.
