  • Bills' Taylor Rapp: Catches on with Bills

Rapp agreed Monday with Buffalo on a one-year contract, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Rapp is now in line to suit up for the Bills in 2023 following Monday's agreement. The 25-year-old has served as the Rams' starting strong safety since he was drafted as a second-round selection by Los Angeles in 2019, and he registered 92 tackles, six passes defensed and two interceptions across 16 contests last season. Although the Bills already have two prominent safety options in Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde (neck), Rapp is still more than likely to command a rotational role within the team's secondary.

  • Rams' Taylor Rapp: Logs 92 stops in 2022

Rapp recorded 92 tackles (58 solo), six pass defenses, two interceptions and recorded a fumble over 16 games in 2022.

Rapp's final year of his rookie deal saw him put together a nearly identical season to two of his previous three, discounting his 2020 season where he only played in nine games. In his other three campaigns, he's combined for 286 tackles, 20 pass defenses and 10 interceptions. A return to the Rams for the unrestricted free agent would mean fighting for playing time against Jordan Fuller (hamstring), who started the season as a co-starter at strong safety until injuries kept him off the field for all but four games.

  • Rams' Taylor Rapp: Ties for team lead in tackles

Rapp recorded nine tackles (eight solo) during Sunday's 31-10 loss to the Chargers.

It was an overall quiet night for a Rams defense that was a week removed from dismantling the Broncos, but Rapp continued to stuff the stat sheet, bringing his total tackles on the year up to 87 with one game left to go. A lost season for the Rams comes to a close against the Seahawks in Week 18, and while Rapp only managed four tackles against them in Week 13, he did tack on a fumble recovery and two pass defenses.

  • Rams' Taylor Rapp: Picks in back-to-back weeks

Rapp recorded seven tackles (six solo), an interception and one pass defended during Monday's 24-12 loss to the Packers.

Rapp's first-quarter interception of Aaron Rodgers was the safety's second pick in as many weeks, as Rodgers sailed a pass over the head of Allen Lazard and Rapp capitalized with the easy pick. Denver's anemic offense is next up in Week 16, and even with Russell Wilson (concussion) likely returning at quarterback over Brett Rypien, Rapp should be in line for another strong performance.

  • Rams' Taylor Rapp: Snags first pick of season

Rapp recorded three tackles (one solo) and one interception during Thursday's 17-16 win against the Raiders.

After Baker Mayfield's improbable 98-yard touchdown drive to put the Rams up by a point with just seconds remaining, Derek Carr attempted to start a game-winning drive of his own by dialing up Davante Adams on his first pass attempt. Rapp was ready, however, and stepped in front of Adams to bring down Carr's desperation heave and give the Rams their first win since defeating the Panthers all the way back in Week 6. Rapp will look to add to his interception total in Week 15 against the Packers and Aaron Rodgers, who already has thrown nine picks so far in 2022 after throwing just nine combined in 2020 and 2021.

  • Rams' Taylor Rapp: Logs season high in tackles

Rapp recorded 12 tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's 26-10 loss to the Chiefs.

Rapp didn't miss a snap on defense, and he stuffed the stat box with a team-high 12 tackles. The Rams as a defense bent but didn't break against the mighty Chiefs offense, which had to settle for just a pair of touchdowns and four field goals. Rapp's previous season high for tackles was eight in Week 9, and he'll look to follow up on his solid statistical production against Seattle in a Week 13 showdown with another high-octane offense.
