Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Perfect on four kicks
McLaughlin connected on his only field-goal attempt from 47 yards out and was successful on all three extra-point tries in the Buccaneers' 30-24 overtime loss to the Chiefs on Monday night.
McLaughlin once again maximized his opportunities and generated his second straight six-point performance. The veteran kicker is keeping pace with his career-best 2024, as he's posted a 93.3 percent success rate on field-goal attempts and has missed just one of his 28 PATs. McLaughlin's only field-goal miss has been from 50-plus yards, and he could be busier on that front during a Week 10 home matchup against the 49ers if Tampa Bay's offense stalls out more than it did against Kansas City.

Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Another 50+ yard make Sunday
McLaughlin drilled his only field-goal attempt from 52 yards and made all three extra-point tries in the Buccaneers' 31-26 loss to the Falcons on Sunday.
McLaughlin was his usual reliable self, maximizing each opportunity he was given in the high-scoring divisional clash. The Buccaneers managed to remain reasonably efficient on offense despite the absences of their top two receivers, so McLaughlin arguably saw less field-goal opportunity than he might have been projected for going in. The veteran kicker is now 6-for-7 from 50+ yards following his long-distance make Sunday, and he could see his team's offense stall more often in scoring position versus a tough Chiefs defense on the road next Monday night.

Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Misfires on 55-yard attempt
McLaughlin converted one of his two field-goal attempts and knocked down both of his point-after tries in Monday's 41-31 loss to the Ravens.
McLaughlin had gone 11-for-11 on field-goal tries through the Buccaneers' first six games, but he saw his streak of perfection come to an end midway through the third quarter of Monday's contest. He nearly came through with his sixth kick of the season of more than 50 yards, but his 55-yard attempt clanked off the right upright. While being attached to a high-powered Tampa Bay offense, McLaughlin has recorded at least nine points in four of the first seven games, but his scoring opportunities could become more limited over the next few games after the Buccaneers lost their top two receivers (Mike Evans and Chris Godwin) to injuries in Monday's loss.

Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Another perfect showing Sunday
McLaughlin connected on his only field-goal try (26 yards) and drilled all six extra-point attempts in the Buccaneers' 51-27 win over the Saints on Sunday.
McLaughlin was limited to less than two field-goal tries for just the second time this season, but he was busier than ever on extra points with the Buccaneers offense turning in a highly efficient performance. McLaughlin remains perfect on 11 field-goal attempts and has missed just one of his 20 PATs, laying an early foundation for a season that could be even more productive than his standout 2023 campaign.

Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Perfect on six kicks Thursday
McLaughlin converted field-goal attempts of 53, 32 and 53 yards and all three extra-point tries in the Buccaneers' 36-30 overtime loss to the Falcons on Thursday night.
McLaughlin once again put his elite long-distance prowess on display with his pair of 50-plus yard boots, his fourth and fifth makes from that distance in as many attempts this season. The veteran is still perfect on field-goal tries (10-for-10) on the campaign and will continue to serve as a top fantasy option thanks to his leg strength, accuracy and connection to a talented Buccaneers offense. McLaughlin could be poised for another prolific performance when he faces off with the Saints in a dome environment in Week 6.

Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Productive showing in Week 4 win
McLaughlin connected on field-goal attempts from 21 and 52 yards and converted three of four extra-point tries in the Buccaneers' 33-16 win over the Eagles on Sunday.
McLaughlin recorded yet another one of his signature 50+ yard kicks and also made good on a chip shot, but he missed the first extra-point attempt of not just his season-plus Buccaneers, but since the 2021 campaign. Despite the exceedingly rare stumble, McLaughlin continues to be one of the most effective placekickers from both a real-word and fantasy perspective, as he's quickly amassed 31 points over four games.

Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Victim of circumstance Sunday
McLaughlin did not log any field-goal attempts and made his only extra-point try in the Buccaneers' 26-7 loss to the Broncos on Sunday.
The veteran kicker hasn't been used to spending the majority of a game on the sideline during his year-plus Buccaneers tenure, but Sunday was a forgettable day all the way around for Tampa Bay. The significantly subdued offensive performance -- Baker Mayfield threw for only 163 yards and took seven sacks -- kept McLaughlin from any field-goal opportunities, only the fourth time that's happened since the start of last season and the second in which the scenario also featured just a sole point-after attempt. McLaughlin should have more scoring chances in a Week 4 home matchup against the Eagles.

Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Another long make Sunday
McLaughlin converted field-goal attempts of 30 and 55 yards and drilled both his extra-point tries in the Buccaneers' 20-16 win over the Lions on Sunday.
McLaughlin's capable long-range leg was on full display during his 55-yarder early in the first quarter, pushing his accuracy from 50-plus yards to 90.0 percent over his first season plus with the Buccaneers. After an inconsistent preseason, McLaughlin has flipped the switch, going 5-for-5 on field goals and 6-for-6 on PATs over the first two regular-season contests. The veteran should have his fair share of opportunities again in a Week 3 home matchup against the Broncos.

Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: In stellar form Sunday
McLaughlin converted all three field-goal attempts -- from 56, 34 and 29 yards -- while also drilling all four extra-point tries in the Buccaneers' 37-20 win over the Commanders on Sunday.
McLaughlin had a somewhat rocky preseason, but when the proverbial lights came on in Week 1, the veteran kicker was as good as he looked during a career-best 2023 season. McLaughlin kicked all his field goals in the first half, starting with the 56-yarder that capped off Tampa Bay's first possession. McLaughlin was an elite 7-for-8 from 50+ yards a season ago, and his perfect start Sunday combined with the efficiency demonstrated by Baker Mayfield and the offense appears to bode well for the veteran kicker's chances of replicating his success this season.

Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Back to full practice
McLaughlin (abdomen) returned to a full practice Thursday.
McLaughlin should be good to go for Sunday's Week 1 opener against the Commanders. The 28-year-old kicker made a career-best 93.5 percent of his field goal attempts last season, going 29 of 31 while making all 33 of his extra points. The big year earned McLaughlin a three-year, $12.3 million deal in the offseason.

Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Tending to health concerns
McLaughlin didn't take part in Wednesday's practice due to an abdominal injury and an illness.
Both health concerns are new ones for McLaughlin, but he remains the only kicker on the Buccaneers' roster, active or otherwise, in advance of Sunday's contest versus the Commanders. Tampa Bay's practice reports Thursday and Friday should shed light on his potential to handle placekicking duties this weekend.

Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Clean effort in preseason finale
McLaughlin converted his only field-goal attempt from 51 yards and made all three of his extra-point tries in the Buccaneers' 24-14 preseason win over the Dolphins on Friday night.
McLaughlin had a miss in each of the first two exhibitions, so his long make Friday was a particularly welcome sight. The veteran had missed from 51 yards in the first preseason game against the Bengals, but he knocked through seven of eight tries from 50-plus during a stellar 2023. With Baker Mayfield and some of the Buccaneers' other key offensive starters showing well during their preseason cameos against Miami, there's optimism McLaughlin will enjoy plenty of fantasy relevance again this coming season while attached to what should be a productive offense.

Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Misses again in Saturday's loss
McLaughlin missed his only field-goal attempt, from 42 yards out, and made his sole extra-point try in the Buccaneers' 20-7 preseason loss to the Jaguars on Saturday night.
That's two misses in as many preseason contests for McLaughlin, who parlayed a career-best 93.5 percent success rate on field-goal attempts across 17 regular-season games in 2023 to score a three-year extension this offseason. McLaughlin doesn't have any competition on the roster and could well just be working through some kinks, but an unblemished performance in the exhibition finale against the Dolphins on Friday night would certainly build some confidence.

Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Rare miss in preseason opener
McLaughlin made a 35-yard field goal and misfired on a 51-yard attempt while also making both of his extra-point tries in the Buccaneers' 17-14 preseason win over the Bengals on Saturday night.
McLaughlin posted a career-best 93.5 percent success rate on field goals during the 2023 regular season and went 7-for-8 on attempts from 50-plus yards, so Saturday's miss was an outlier with respect to his time on the Buccaneers. The veteran placekicker's job is completely secure heading into the 2024 season, and McLaughlin should have a chance to continue working out the kinks over the final two preseason contests.
