Jamal Adams: Joining Detroit for stretch run
Adams is signing with the Lions' practice squad with an eye toward moving up to the active roster, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The former All-Pro safety got his release from the Titans' reserve/non-football injury list in October, and he reportedly wanted to join a contender, per Schefter. Adams appeared on just 20 snaps over three games for the Titans this season, and while he was dealing with a hip injury early in the year, it was never considered serious. Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph are Detroit's starting safeties, but Adams could join the rotation if he moves up to the active roster.

Jamal Adams: Request for release granted
The Titans agreed Thursday to release Adams (hip) from the reserve/non-football injury list, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Adams was placed on the NFI list Saturday, after a hip injury limited him to just three appearances on the season, and a total of 20 defensive snaps in those games. It appears Adams' lack of availability was at least in part unrelated to injury, however, as he's now reportedly fully healthy and ready for another opportunity following his release. The veteran safety will look to land elsewhere in the league and prove his health.

Titans' Jamal Adams: Lands on NFI list
The Titans placed Adams (hip) on the reserve/non-football injury list Saturday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
Adams has been dealing with a hip injury all season and has totaled just 20 defensive snaps over his three contests. Per Turron Davenport of ESPN.com, the veteran safety has been frustrated by his minimal playing time, and he'll now be required to sit out at least Tennessee's next four games. Adams' earliest possible return date is Sunday, Nov. 10, when the Titans face the Chargers.

Titans' Jamal Adams: Won't play in Week 6
Adams (hip) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Colts, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Adams likely aggravated his hip injury at some point over the past two weeks, as he was unable to log a single practice session and has since been ruled out for Week 6. With Adams sidelined Sunday, expect Mike Brown and Julius Wood to serve as Tennessee's top reserve safeties.

Titans' Jamal Adams: Limited with hip injury
Adams (hip) was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's injury report, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
Adams was held out of the regular-season opener due to a hip issue, but it hasn't been a problem for him over the last couple of games. His limited participation Wednesday is likely due to injury maintenance, and unless he misses any practices this week, he should be good to go for Sunday's AFC South clash against the Colts. Adams has recorded four tackles (two solo) across three regular-season games this year.

Titans' Jamal Adams: Past hip issue
Adams (hip) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
The first-year Titan missed Tennessee's Week 1 loss due to a hip injury, but it appears he's recovered in time to face the Jets, the team that drafted him, in Week 2. Adams has dealt with injury problems over the past couple of seasons, appearing in just 10 regular-season games. If he's healthy enough to face the Jets on Sunday, he's expected to serve as the Titans' top rotational safety.

Titans' Jamal Adams: Could return Week 2
Adams (hip) is expected to return to practice Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Adams was unable to suit up in Week 1 due to the injury but has a chance to make his Titans debut Sunday against the Jets. The veteran safety joined the team in July on a one-year contract following his release from the Seahawks in March. The veteran safety has remained productive when healthy; however, he's only appeared in 10 regular-season games over the last two seasons, and missed most of training camp due to general soreness on top of his current hip injury.
