Lee spent last offseason with the Bills before being waived. Ultimately, all 11 of his appearances last season came with the Raiders. Now, the veteran linebacker will receive another chance to carve out a role in Buffalo.

Lee was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday.
The linebacker missed the Raiders' thrilling Week 18 victory over the Chargers after being placed on the COVID list Thursday. Lee will return just in time to get a few practices under his belt before the Raiders' take on the Bengals on Saturday in the wild-card round.

Bills' Marquel Lee: Activated by Bills

While the Bills never announced whether Lee tested positive for the virus, he'll rejoin the team after he missed just over a week of camp. The 25-year-old will have a chance to compete for a spot on the 53-man roster during Buffalo's final two preseason games.

The Bills need all sorts of depth at linebacker, but they solved some of their issues Wednesday by signing both Lee and Tyrell Adams. Lee doesn't appear in line to start in 2021, and he may have to impress to land a permanent roster spot. If that happens, he'll strengthen the linebacking crew for a playoff-contending team. Lee, a former Raider, didn't play in 2020.

Lee was already ruled out for Sunday's matchup with the Chargers but will now miss the last two contests of the season after playing through the toe injury the previous two weeks. The 24-year-old finishes 2019 with 11 total tackles in five games.
