Jordan Leggett: Let go by Denver
Leggett was waived by the Broncos on Tuesday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.
The 26-year-old finished the season on Denver's practice squad and subsequently signed a reserve/future contract, but he's now been let go by the team. Leggett caught 14 passes for 114 yards and one touchdown in 15 games for the Jets during 2018, but he hasn't seen the field over the past two seasons.

Leggett signed with the Broncos' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
Leggett last made an appearance on an NFL field in 2018 as a member of the Jets, when he registered 14 receptions for 114 yards and a touchdown over 15 games. The Clemson product was waived by the Buccaneers in July after a brief stint with the team's practice squad, but he'll now have a chance with a Broncos team that placed Albert Okwuegbunam on injured reserve Nov. 10 because of an ACL injury.

Jordan Leggett: Not joining Patriots

A Monday report suggested Leggett was ready to sign with the team once he passed a COVID-19 test and a physical exam. It isn't clear if something went wrong with one of the tests or if the Patriots simply decided they didn't need the 25-year-old tight end. Leggett spent time on the Bucs' 53-man roster last season but was a healthy scratch for each game. His last regular-season appearance came in 2018, when he caught 14 passes in 15 games (four starts) for the Jets.

Jordan Leggett: Poised to sign with New England
Leggett is expected to sign with the Patriots, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Per the report, as long as all goes well with his COVID-19 testing and physical, the Patriots plan to sign Leggett. With Matt LaCosse having opted out of the 2019 season, the Patriots are looking to add some experience at the tight end position to complement 2020 draftees Devin Asiasi and Dalton Keene. Leggett last saw regular-season game action in 2018, when he caught 14 passes for 114 yards and a TD with the Jets.

Leggett hasn't had many opportunities to showcase his skills this preseason, but he certainly made a mark in Friday's contest.
