Reid ended with 23 points (10-17 FG, 3-5 3Pt), six rebounds and one assist in 21 minutes during Sunday's 99-96 win over the Warriors. Reid made a significant impact during only 21 minutes of work. Sunday's game flow revealed a continuing correlation between Reid and Gobert, although the two shared the court for a few minutes in the second quarter. Karl-Anthony Towns' return seemed to have no bearing on Reid's usage, as the two shared the court frequently when Gobert took breaks. Reid was especially effective in the fourth quarter, scoring 10 points that included two three-pointers.... See More ... See Less

Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Thrives off bench in win
Reid logged 26 points (11-15 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds and two steals across 26 minutes during Wednesday's 125-124 win over the Hawks. Reid's fantasy upside has usually been capped when Rudy Gobert is available, but the former has still found a way to 20 or more minutes in four straight contests while Gobert has cleared 30 minutes in each of those contests. Head coach Chris Finch said following Wednesday's game that he wants to see more of Reid and Gobert alongside one another, though the return of power forward Karl-Anthony Towns (calf) from an extended absence Wednesday could complicate those plans. Regardless, Reid looks like he could be an interesting speculative pickup if he ends up sticking in a 20-to-25-minute role. Over the past four games, he's averaging 18.5 points, 4.3 boards, 1.3 assists, 0.8 three-pointers, 0.8 steals and 0.5 blocks in 22.8 minutes while shooting 63.3 percent from the field and 81.8 percent from the free-throw line.... Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Available against New York
Reid (calf) is available for Monday's game against the Knicks. Reid was questionable Monday due to his sore calf but will be able to suit up for a third consecutive matchup. Over his last three appearances, he's averaged 17.0 points and 4.3 rebounds in 21.3 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Iffy for Monday's contest
Reid is questionable for Monday's game in New York due to left calf soreness. Despite battling the sore calf, Reid scored a team-high 22 points off the bench during Saturday's loss to Toronto, but he finds himself on the injury report again. He's appeared in three straight games, including a back-to-back set, and has averaged 17.0 points and 4.3 rebounds during that stretch, so barring a turn for the worse, it seems safe to expect Reid to suit up Monday. However, fantasy managers are still encouraged to confirm his availability ahead of the 7:30 p.m. ET tip.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Lone bright spot in loss
Reid recorded 22 points (8-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-7 FT), four rebounds and one assist across 20 minutes during Saturday's 122-107 loss to Toronto. Reid came off the bench and scored a team-high 22 points, but it wasn't enough as the Timberwolves struggled to find any offensive consistency without Anthony Edwards (ankle). Over his past three appearances, Reid has averaged 17.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 21.3 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Available at Toronto
Reid (calf) is available for Saturday's matchup against the Raptors. Despite some calf soreness, Reid will see the floor Saturday. Since the All-Star break, the reserve big has averaged 14.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.1 steals in 20.4 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Questionable Saturday
Reid (calf) is questionable for Saturday's game against Toronto. Reid is at risk of missing the closing end of the Timberwolves' back-to-back set Saturday after logging 25 minutes in Friday's loss to the Bulls. He has dealt with lingering soreness in his left calf throughout the past week but has played through the injury in the last two contests. With Rudy Gobert (ankle) also questionable, Nathan Knight could be thrust into a significant role if one of Reid or Gobert sits.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Ready to go Friday
Reid (calf) is available for Friday's game against Chicago. Reid will play in his second straight contest despite carrying a questionable tag. Rudy Gobert (ankle) has also been cleared to play, meaning Reid is likely looking at minutes in the teens against the Bulls.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Questionable Friday
Reid (calf) is questionable for Friday's game against Chicago. Reid returned from a one-game absence Wednesday against the Celtics, but he's still dealing with a sore left calf ahead of Friday's matchup. Rudy Gobert (ankle) is also questionable, so if Reid is cleared to play, his role will likely depend on whether Gobert is available.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Strong showing off bench in return
Reid (calf) finished Wednesday's 104-102 loss to the Celtics with 15 points (4-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), six rebounds and one assist in 19 minutes. Back in action after a one-game absence, Reid slotted back into his familiar role as the Timberwolves' backup center and finished with a bench-leading scoring total. He didn't overlap with Rudy Gobert (29 minutes) at any point during the contest, however, and unless Gobert misses time due to injury or succumbs to foul trouble on a given night, Reid looks like he may struggle to push past 20 minutes on any sort of regular basis.... Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Absent from injury report
Reid (calf) is available for Wednesday's game against the Celtics. Reid missed Monday's tilt with left calf soreness but is back in action for Wednesday's contest. He should step into his usual backup center role behind Rudy Gobert. Reid has averaged just 8.0 points and 3.7 rebounds in 15.1 minutes per game over his last three appearances.... See More ... Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Questionable Wednesday
Reid (calf) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Celtics. Reid missed the last game due to his calf injury, which allowed Luka Garza to get some extended run in the rotation behind Rudy Gobert. However, Gobert is also being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game due to his nagging left ankle sprain, so if both Reid and Gobert are forced to the sidelines, Garza would be on the radar as a potential streamer.... Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Out Monday
Reid (left calf soreness) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Hawks. Reid wasn't on any of the initial injury reports, so he might have tweaked his calf during warmups. For now, he should be considered questionable for Wednesday's game against the Celtics, but with Rudy Gobert healthy, it's tough for Reid to get the minutes he needs to impact most leagues.... Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Adds 15 points off bench
Reid closed with 15 points (6-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt), eight rebounds, two assists and two steals across 21 minutes during Friday's 110-102 victory over the Lakers. Reid fared well off the bench in this one by shooting 50.0 percent from the field and finishing in double figures for his fourth straight contest. He's also been a consistent source of rebounds for fantasy managers, now averaging 6.3 rebounds with 13.4 points, 2.3 assists and 1.0 steals over his last eight games.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Back to bench
Reid will return to the bench Tuesday against the Clippers, ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk reports. Rudy Gobert (illness) rejoins the starting lineup after one game on the sidelines. Reid is coming off one of the best performances of his career Sunday, so it's going to be interesting to see if he's earned more run from the coaching staff.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Career-best night Sunday
Reid recorded 30 points (12-22 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 2-5 FT), nine rebounds, five steals, three assists and two blocks across 36 minutes during Sunday's 109-104 loss to the Warriors. Reid replaced Rudy Gobert (illness) in the starting lineup Sunday and certainly made the most of his opportunity. Though Reid has had some nice moments this season when given extended minutes, anyone who streamed him in could not have expected a performance like this. He led the team in points, rebounds, steals, blocks and three-pointers, delivering arguably the best overall line of any player during Sunday's slate of games. Unfortunately for Reid, Gobert could return to the lineup as soon as Tuesday against the Clippers, which would send Reid back to his lower-minute role off the bench.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Starting Sunday
Reid is starting Sunday against the Warriors. Reid came off the bench in his last four appearances but will rejoin the starting lineup since Rudy Gobert (illness) is unavailable. Over 10 starts this year, Reid has averaged 15.1 points and 6.8 rebounds in 25.1 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Returns to bench
Reid isn't in the starting lineup for Friday's game versus Memphis, Dane Moore of 'The Dane Moore NBA Podcast' reports. Reid will be replaced by Rudy Gobert in the starting five Friday. The 23-year-old big man is averaging 15.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.9 blocks in 25.1 minutes across 10 games starting this season, but his production off the bench is much less appealing at 9.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 0.9 blocks over 16.1 minutes per tilt.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Inserted into starting lineup
Reid is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Nuggets. Reid will replace Kyle Anderson (back) in the starting five Tuesday. This will be his first time starting alongside Rudy Gobert this season.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Steps up in Gobert's absence
Reid ended Wednesday's 119-114 overtime win over Golden State with 24 points (10-22 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 13 rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal across 35 minutes. With starting center Rudy Gobert missing the game with a groin injury, Reid stepped in as the starting center and posted his best scoring effort since Dec. 19, when he poured in 27 points against the Mavericks. He also dominated on the boards to secure his first double-double of the new calendar year. Unless Gobert is dealing with a setback with the groin issue that cost him three straight games in January and forces additional absences, Reid likely won't be worth a pickup in the majority of leagues where he's still sitting on the waiver wire....
