  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Out again Wednesday

Duarte (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Raptors, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports. Duarte will miss a fourth straight game due to left ankle soreness. Tyrese Haliburton (ankle) also remains out, so T.J. McConnell, Jordan Nwora and George Hill should all be candidates for increased playing time again.

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Questionable Wednesday

Duarte (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Raptors. Duarte has missed the past three games due to some soreness in his left ankle, but it looks like there's a chance he could return for Wednesday's game. If he is cleared to return to the floor, Aaron Nesmith and Jordan Nwora's minutes would likely dip. Check back for another update closer to Wednesday's tip.

Duarte (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Charlotte, Sam Perley of the Hornets' official site reports. • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Questionable Monday

Duarte (ankle) is questionable for Monday's game against the Hornets. Duarte has missed the past two games due to some soreness in his left ankle, but it appears he could return to the rotation Monday, which would likely trim down George Hill's minutes. Check back for another update on Duarte closer to Monday's 7:00 p.m. ET tip.

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Unavailable Saturday

Duarte (ankle) will be sidelined for Saturday's matchup against the 76ers. Duarte will miss a second straight game Saturday. With the Pacers still dealing with absences to Tyrese Haliburton (ankle) and Bennedict Mathurin (ankle) as well, T.J. McConnell, Andrew Nembhard and George Hill should continue seeing extra minutes.

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Ruled out

Duarte (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Bucks. Duarte left Monday's loss to the Pistons due to left ankle soreness and will be sidelined for at least one additional contest. The second-year wing had started the previous two contests, but his missing minutes would likely be absorbed by Tyrese Haliburton (ankle) and T.J. McConnell (back), who are both listed as questionable but trending in the right direction after practicing Wednesday, if they're cleared for action.

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Won't return Monday

Duarte has been ruled out for the rest of Monday's game against the Pistons due to left ankle soreness. Duarte's night will come to an end after putting up 12 points (4-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and adding one rebound in 24 minutes of play. George Hill and Aaron Nesmith could pick up a few additional minutes down the stretch in Duarte's absence.

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Moves into first unit

Duarte will move into the starting lineup Saturday against Detroit. The Pacers are missing both Tyrese Haliburton (knee) and T.J. McConnell (back), so they will need Duarte to soak up a ton of minutes Saturday evening. Andrew Nembhard will start alongside Duarte in the backcourt.

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Drains five threes Sunday

Duarte ended with 15 points (5-10 FG, 5-8 3Pt), two rebounds and one steal over 22 minutes off the bench during Sunday's 125-122 win over the Bulls. The second-year guard tied his season high in made threes, matching the five he drained against the Nets back on Halloween. Duarte's court time has been erratic off the bench lately, but he's scored at least 14 points in three of the last six games, seeing at least 20 minutes and firing up multiple threes in all three contests.

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Adds 18 bench points

Duarte supplied 18 points (8-14 FG, 2-3 3Pt), nine rebounds and two assists in 34 minutes during Thursday's 110-99 loss to the Spurs. Duarte turned in an efficient shooting night from the field, hitting 57.1 percent of his tries. He led the Indiana bench in scoring with 18 points and narrowly missed a double-double with his effort on the glass. It's also worth mentioning that Duarte logged 30-plus minutes for the first time since Jan. 27, and while Tyrese Haliburton's (calf) absence likely contributed to the increased workload, it appears Duarte may have a chance to work his way back into the rotation going forward, especially if he continues to perform at a similar level.

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Moves back into rotation

Duarte scored 14 points (5-11 FG, 4-7 3Pt) and added two rebounds and two steals over 20 minutes in Wednesday's 117-113 win over the Bulls. Duarte has been an inconsistent member of the Pacers' rotation in February, but he took back a spot on the second unit Wednesday from the newly acquired George Hill, who didn't play in a coach's decision. Considering Hill's status as a veteran on an expiring deal, Duarte looks like the better bet of the two to maintain a rotation spot moving forward, especially if the 26-34 Pacers fade from the Eastern Conference playoff picture following the All-Star break.

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Available Wednesday

Duarte (ankle) is available for Wednesday's tilt against the Heat, Tony East of SI.com reports. Though Duarte is available, it remains to be seen if he's still a part of the rotation. Before missing Sunday's game against the Cavaliers due to an ankle injury, he was a DNP-CD against the Kings, and before that, he saw just six minutes. He's continued to struggle shooting and is making just 29.0 percent of his threes since the calendar flipped to 2023.

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Deemed questionable against Miami

Duarte (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game versus the Heat. Duarte is questionable to miss his second straight game due to left ankle soreness despite returning to practice Monday. However, the second-year guard saw just six minutes of playing time in his previous two outings, so his place in the Pacers' rotation is uncertain.

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Practices Monday

Duarte (ankle) was a full participant during Monday's practice, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports. Duarte was ruled out for Sunday's matchup against Cleveland due to a sore left ankle, but it appears the night off did the trick. However, the second-year guard, despite being healthy, didn't play any minutes during Friday's win over the Kings and saw just six minutes against the Lakers on Thursday. Even if he's cleared for Wednesday's matchup in Miami, Duarte can likely be left on the bench in standard fantasy leagues.

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Out with ankle injury

Duarte has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against the Cavaliers due a sore left ankle, Scott Agness of FieldhouseFiles.com reports. Despite being healthy, Duarte didn't see any minutes during Friday's win over the Kings and saw just six minutes against the Lakers on Thursday. In his absence, Bennedict Mathurin and T.J. McConnell should continuing operating as the top two guards behind Tyrese Haliburton, Andrew Nembhard and Buddy Hield.

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: DNP-CD vs. Kings

Duarte was a DNP-Coach's Decision during Friday's win over the Kings. Duarte joined the starting five for four games as the Pacers dealt with injuries to Tyrese Haliburton and Andrew Nembhard. The results were solid for Duarte, as he averaged 13.3 points, 4.5 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals in 31.3 minutes, though he shot just 31.8 percent from deep on 5.5 attempts. Three-point shooting has been a major issue for the second-year wing. He shot 36.9 percent as a rookie but is down to 29.5 percent this season, and he's not a talented enough passer or defender to make up for that deficiency. With Haliburton returning Thursday against the Lakers, Duarte came off the bench and played just five minutes, followed by his DNP-CD on Friday. The Pacers struggled with Haliburton out, but the team is still 25-29 and firmly in the play-in mix. There's a chance Indiana will let things play out this season rather than trading off veterans for a rebuild. If that's the case, coach Rick Carlisle will likely continue to shorten his rotation, as he's been doing throughout the season. It appears Duarte may now be on the outside looking in.

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Coming off bench Thursday

Duarte isn't starting Thursday against the Lakers, Kyle Goon of The Orange County Register reports. Duarte started the last four games and averaged 13.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals in 31.3 minutes per game during that time. Andrew Nembhard will reclaim his starting role during Thursday's matchup.

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Records career-high six steals

Duarte ended Wednesday's 126-120 loss to Orlando with 16 points (4-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-8 FT), two rebounds, five assists and six steals in 39 minutes. Duarte has started the past two games in the absence of Tyrese Haliburton (knee, elbow) and Andrew Nembhard (illness). During Tuesday's win over Chicago, Duarte tied his career-high nine rebounds, and he followed that up one day later by setting a new career mark with six steals. The second-year wing's poor efficiency -- 34.0 percent from the field and 29.7 percent from three -- is becoming a serious concern regarding his career trajectory, but it's encouraging that he's finding other ways to contribute when called upon.

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Starting against Chicago

Duarte is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Bulls, Tony East of SI.com reports. Duarte will start for the first time since Jan. 13, when he posted seven points and two rebounds across 26 minutes in a loss to the Hawks. The former Oregon standout has played off the bench most of the season, and he's averaging 9.2 points per game across six starts in the current campaign. He will start in place of Andrew Nembhard (illness).

  • Pacers' Chris Duarte: Pops for 18 points off bench

Duarte finished with 18 points (5-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 7-8 FT), two steals, one rebound and one assist in 17 minutes in Friday's 134-111 loss to the Nuggets. Duarte came through with his second big scoring game off the bench in less than a week, but his downward-trending playing time makes it difficult to trust him to turn in these kinds of performances moving forward. The eight trips to the free-throw line he made Friday likely aren't replicable for a lower-usage player like Duarte, who is averaging just 1.7 free-throw attempts per game for the season. And when Duarte isn't scoring, he isn't bringing much to the table on the defensive end; prior to Friday, he hadn't recorded a steal in his last 12 games, and he's averaging only 2.1 rebounds and 0.2 blocks per game in January.
