  • Pelicans' Antonio Reeves: Paces team in scoring

Reeves logged 20 points (8-14 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 4-5 FT), six rebounds and a block in 39 minutes during Sunday's 115-100 loss to the Thunder. Reeves was able to put together a solid offensive performance Sunday despite missing all four of his three-point attempts. The rookie guard had an impressive conclusion to the season, scoring in double figures in each of his final eight appearances. In those contests, he averaged 16.5 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steals in 32.6 minutes per game.

  • Pelicans' Antonio Reeves: Solid outing off bench

Reeves ended Friday's 153-104 loss to the Heat with 19 points (7-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one steal across 34 minutes. Despite moving to the bench in Friday's blowout loss, Reeves still logged 34 minutes of action due to New Orleans dealing with a long list of injuries. The rookie guard has shot the ball efficiently from behind the arc across his last 10 outings, converting 45.6 percent of his 5.7 three-point attempts per contest.

  • Pelicans' Antonio Reeves: Heads to bench Friday

Reeves won't start Friday's game against the Heat. With Jose Alvarado (calf) cleared to play and in the starting lineup, Reeves shifts to a bench role, and Elfrid Payton sticks with the first unit. Reeves has scored in double figures in two of his past three appearances off the bench.

  • Pelicans' Antonio Reeves: Will start Sunday

Reeves will be in the starting lineup for the Pelicans on Sunday against the Bucks. Reeves will be a starter for New Orleans for a third time this season. In his two previous starts, the rookie guard averaged 13.5 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game, shooting 55.0 percent overall and 55.6 percent from beyond the arc.

  • Pelicans' Antonio Reeves: Retreating to bench Friday

Reeves won't start in Friday's game against the Lakers, Daniel Starkand of LakersNation.com reports. Keion Brooks will supplant Reeves in the starting five on Friday. The 24-year-old swingman has averaged 10.4 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists across 21.4 minutes per game in his last five outings (two starts).

  • Pelicans' Antonio Reeves: Strikes for 16 in first NBA start

Reeves ended Sunday's 98-94 victory over the Hornets with 16 points (6-10 FG, 4-5 3Pt), three rebounds and two assists in 28 minutes. With CJ McCollum (foot), Zion Williamson (back) and Jordan Hawkins (back) all sidelined, Reeves made his first career start and was able to make an impact from three-point range. The rookie guard has seen his workload increase dramatically during the last week due to the Pelicans' injury-ravaged backcourt, and over the last three games, he's averaged 23.7 minutes while producing 12.7 points, 3.0 threes, 2.3 boards and 1.3 assists. With Dejounte Murray (Achilles), Trey Murphy (shoulder) and Herbert Jones (shoulder) all done for the rest of the season, Reeves should see enough court time down the stretch to have some DFS appeal.

  • Pelicans' Antonio Reeves: Making first NBA start Sunday

Reeves is in the Pelicans' starting lineup against the Hornets on Sunday. The rookie second-round pick out of Kentucky has seen his playing time off the bench increase as of late, and he'll be in the starting lineup Sunday for the first time in his NBA career. Reeves has appeared in 36 games for the Pelicans this season and is averaging 4.8 points, 1.1 rebounds and 0.7 assists over 11.1 minutes per game.

  • Pelicans' Antonio Reeves: Drains five threes in Monday's win

Reeves recorded 17 points (6-10 FG, 5-7 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 24 minutes off the bench during Monday's 112-99 victory over Philadelphia. The five treys were a career high for the rookie guard, who got some extended run after Jordan Hawkins (ankle) was forced from the contest in the third quarter. Reeves could take on a more consistent role in the Pelicans' backcourt if Hawkins' injury proves to be serious. Reeves has scored in double digits with multiple three-pointers in each of the last three times he's played 20-plus minutes in a game.

  • Pelicans' Antonio Reeves: Rejoins parent club

New Orleans recalled Reeves from the G League's Birmingham Squadron on Sunday. With CJ McCollum (rest) and Zion Williamson (conditioning) unavailable for Sunday's game against the Grizzlies, Reeves will rejoin the Pelicans and could be featured in the rotation. When McCollum and Williamson both rested in a 125-108 loss to the Suns back on Feb. 28, Reeves played 21 minutes off the bench and scored 11 points while adding two rebounds, one assist and one steal.

  • Pelicans' Antonio Reeves: Sticks in rotation Wednesday

Reeves ended Wednesday's 119-111 loss to Sacramento with eight points (3-5 FG, 2-3 3Pt), six rebounds, two assists and one steal over 18 minutes. Reeves remained in the rotation, playing at least 15 minutes for the third straight game. After barely playing to begin his career, it appears as though the Pelicans have decided to at least give him an opportunity to experience the NBA up close. Having now lost 10 straight games, it makes sense for them to lean into their youth.

Reeves led all players in Wednesday's contest on the offensive end, connecting on a team-best mark from three while concluding as the lone player in the contest with at least 30 points in a losing effort. • Pelicans' Antonio Reeves: Returns to NBA

New Orleans recalled Reeves from the G League's Birmingham Squadron on Thursday. Reeves was assigned to the Pelicans' G League affiliate on Monday, but he'll return to the NBA club ahead of Friday's matchup with the Pacers as the team is managing a number of injuries to the backcourt. Reeves could see playing time behind Jose Alvarado at point guard with CJ McCollum (adductor) and Dejounte Murray (hand) both sidelined.

In 2023-24, the 6-foot-5 guard averaged 20.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 33 games. Reeves's greatest strength is his outside shot, which he displayed by converting 44.7 percent of his 5.7 three-point attempts per contest last year.
