Jones is eligible to play in postseason games for the Clippers, but since he didn't sign a contract with the team until Saturday, he won't be asked to play in the regular-season finale. Jones agreed to a multi-year contract with the Clippers on Saturday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Joshua Primo (ankle) will be released in order to make room for Jones on the Clippers' 15-man roster. Jones (hamstring) became a free agent Monday after his 10-day contract with the 76ers expired, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
The 76ers have the option of retaining Jones on a second 10-day deal, but it's unclear if the organization has any desire to do so while he's still recovering from a right hamstring strain. The injury prevented him from playing with the 76ers at any point during his initial 10-day deal, but he likely wouldn't have been featured in head coach Nick Nurse's rotation even if he had been healthy.

Jones will bring some depth to the center position in Philadelphia, but as long as Mo Bamba and Paul Reed are healthy, he could struggle to crack head coach Nick Nurse's rotation. Since being cut by the Hornets in October, Jones hasn't played in a professional league, though he most recently suited up for the Bahamian national team for two games in the 2025 FIBA AmeriCup qualifiers. The 2021 first-round draft pick averaged 2.7 points, 2.0 rebounds and 0.5 blocks in 9.1 minutes per game over 67 appearances for Charlotte across his first two NBA seasons.
