  • Jordan Loyd: Signs overseas

Loyd has agreed to a contract with Valencia Basket of the EuroLeague, Emiliano Carchia of Sportnado reports.

The Raptors let Loyd out of his contract to allow him to sign overseas. He appeared in just 12 games for Toronto last season at the NBA level, but he was an MVP candidate in the G League. It seems likely he'll attempt to prove his value in the Euroleague, possibly hoping for an NBA comeback.

  • Jordan Loyd: Let go by Raptors

Loyd was released by the Raptors on Friday, Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun reports.

Loyd totaled just 55 minutes for the Raptors last season, racking up 29 points, nine rebounds and six assists. He spent most of the season in the G League, where he averaged 22.5 points, 6.0 assists, 5.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 35.5 minutes and was named to the All G League First Team. Reports indicate the parting of ways between Loyd and the Raptors was mutual, so it's possible he felt deserving of more playing time and the Raptors weren't filling to promise it.

  • Raptors' Jordan Loyd: Notches second triple-double

Loyd erupted for 24 points (9-16 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 12 assists and 10 rebounds across 33 minutes Monday in the G League Raptors 905's 112-82 win over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

The 905 was able to punch its ticket to the postseason on the back of Loyd's second career G League triple-double. The two-way player could see some time in the NBA over the next month, but he'll receive his most significant playing time in the G League, where he's been one of the circuit's top players this season. The 25-year-old is averaging 22.9 points (on 48.6 percent shooting from the field), 6.0 dimes, 5.4 rebounds, 2.2 triples and 1.9 steals in 35.2 minutes per game over 37 appearances with the 905 this season.

Loyd (ankle) erupted for 34 points (7-16 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 17-18 FT), 10 assists, seven rebounds and two steals across 40 minutes Friday in the G League's Raptors 905's 113-110 loss to the Westchester Knicks.

The full stat line was an encouraging sign for Loyd's health after a left ankle sprain kept him out of commission for the past week. Loyd has been one of the top performers in the G League this season with averages of 24.3 points (on 49.7 percent shooting from the field), 5.7 assists, 5.4 boards, 2.3 treys and 1.9 steals in 36.0 minutes per game, but the two-way player is unlikely to see much action with Toronto in the near future.

  • Raptors' Jordan Loyd: Scores 32 points in loss

Loyd scored 32 points (11-18 FG, 6-7 3Pt, 4-5 FT) to go along with 11 assists, five rebounds and a blocked shot during the loss Wednesday to the Blue.

It's hard to fathom, but a 32-point, 11-assist outing was somehow overshadowed thanks to league-leading 47-point bomb dropped by center Chris Boucher on Wednesday. Neither player figures to be long for the G League, however, meaning fantasy owners hoping to capitalize on the massive potential could be coming to a close.
