  • Hornets' Miles Bridges: Takes step back in 2025-26

Bridges ended Friday's 121-90 Play-In Game loss to the Magic with 15 points (5-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds and one assist across 28 minutes. Bridges propelled the Hornets to a 127-126 overtime victory over the Heat in Tuesday's Play-In Game, when he logged 28 points, nine rebounds, two assists, three blocks and one steal over 43 minutes, though he was unable to replicate that production in Friday's elimination loss. Bridges was productive to open the 2025-26 season, but his numbers dipped significantly following the All-Star break. Over his final 24 regular-season outings from Feb. 24 to April 12, he averaged 14.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.5 threes and 0.8 steals over 28.3 minutes per game. Part of that dip had to do with Bridges taking a back seat to the likes of LaMelo Ball, Kon Knueppel and Brandon Miller. Bridges is slated to earn $22.8 million in 2026-27, which is the final year he is under contract with Charlotte.

  • Hornets' Brandon Miller: Productive in third NBA season

Miller closed with 14 points (5-10 FG, 4-7 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and two steals over 29 minutes during Friday's 121-90 Play-In Game loss to the Magic. Miller played a key role in the Hornets' 127-126 overtime win over the Heat on Tuesday, though he was unable to replicate that success in Friday's elimination game. The 2023 first-rounder has established himself as a franchise cornerstone for the Hornets alongside LaMelo Ball and 2025-26 Rookie of the Year candidate Kon Knueppel. Miller ended the 2025-26 regular season averaging 20.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 3.1 threes, 1.0 steals and 0.7 blocks over 30.3 minutes per game. He has two years left on his rookie contract (including a $21.2 million qualifying offer for 2027-28), though Miller could earn a rookie max extension from the Hornets in the offseason.

  • Hornets' Kon Knueppel: Cold finish to rookie campaign

Knueppel produced 11 points (3-10 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 29 minutes during Friday's 121-90 Play-In Game loss to the Magic. Knueppel was one of the deadliest shooters from three-point range during his rookie season, connecting on 42.5 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc (on 7.9 3PA/G). However, he struggled toward the tail end of the campaign, and over his last six outings (including both Play-In Tournament games), he connected on just 29.5 percent of his field-goal attempts (including 23.8 percent of three-point tries) while averaging 10.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 0.7 steals over 31.5 minutes per game. Knueppel's disappointing end to 2025-26 shouldn't take away from his historic season, as he and former Duke teammate Cooper Flagg are both frontrunners for the NBA's Rookie of the Year award.

  • Hornets' Kon Knueppel: Goes 1-for-6 from distance

Knueppel recorded 13 points (5-13 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), four rebounds and two assists in 32 minutes during Sunday's 114-99 loss to the Celtics. Knueppel has been struggling from distance over the past two games, going just 4-for-16 from three-point territory. However, he'll have an excellent chance of snapping out of his mini-slump Tuesday with a favorable matchup against the Nets in Brooklyn.

  • Hornets' Kon Knueppel: Makes NBA history Thursday

Knueppel registered 26 points (9-14 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 11 rebounds and eight assists over 37 minutes during the Hornets' 114-103 win over the Knicks on Thursday. It was another strong performance out of the ROTY favorite, who connected on at least six triples for the ninth time this season and finished two assists short from registering the first triple-double of his NBA career. Knueppel's third three-pointer of the game was his 250th of the season, making him the only player age 22 or younger in NBA history to connect on 250 three-pointers in a season. The 20-year-old Duke product has been a key piece to the Hornets' resurgence this season, and since the All-Star break he has averaged 19.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 3.9 threes and 0.8 steals over 29.7 minutes per game.

  • Hornets' Kon Knueppel: Good to go Tuesday

Knueppel (back) is available for Tuesday's game against the Kings. As expected, Knueppel will shake off his probable tag due to lower-back soreness and suit up against the injury-plagued Kings. The rookie first-rounder is coming off a lackluster shooting performance in Saturday's win over the Grizzlies and will look to bounce back Tuesday. Over 10 March appearances, he has averaged 18.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 3.2 triples in 29.9 minutes per contest.

  • Hornets' Kon Knueppel: Stays hot for Charlotte

Knueppel totaled 24 points (7-13 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT), seven rebounds and three assists across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 117-109 win over Sacramento. Knueppel continues to bolster his case in the Rookie of the Year Award race. The Hornets improved to 34-33 with this win, and Knueppel has been hot with 19.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 4.0 three-pointers over his last eight games.

  • Hornets' Kon Knueppel: Nets 27 points with six triples

Knueppel totaled 27 points (9-14 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds and four assists over 34 minutes during Friday's 128-120 loss to the Heat. Knueppel was quiet through the first half of Friday's game, but he caught fire after halftime and scored 19 of his 27 points on 6-for-10 shooting in the second half. This was the rookie's eighth game of the season with at least six treys, and it was nice to see him dish out some dimes after failing to do so in his previous outing.

  • Hornets' Kon Knueppel: Drills eight treys

Knueppel ended with 28 points (10-17 FG, 8-12 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 31 minutes during Thursday's 133-109 win over the Pacers. Knueppel put on a shooting display Thursday evening and tied the best mark of his young NBA career by knocking down eight threes, which is something he also accomplished Jan. 29 against Dallas. Following this impressive performance from deep, the Duke product now holds the NBA record for most made threes in a season by a rookie with 207. Knueppel has put up 20-plus points in four straight games and has shown no sign of slowing down.

  • Hornets' Kon Knueppel: Becomes 1st to 200 threes

Knueppel finished Tuesday's 131-99 win over the Bulls with 21 points (7-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), one rebound, two assists and two steals over 23 minutes. Knueppel's remarkable rookie campaign continues as the 2025 No. 4 overall pick became the first player to reach 200 made threes this season. He was very efficient from the field on his way to 21 points in only 23 minutes. He's averaging 27.3 points per game over his last three. Knueppel has now made more than one triple in nine consecutive games, recording at least one steal in five straight as well.

  • Hornets' Kon Knueppel: Pours in 28 points

Knueppel produced 28 points (10-18 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 3-5 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and one steal in 28 minutes during Sunday's 129-112 victory over Washington. Knueppel stayed red-hot from beyond the arc Sunday against the Wizards, knocking down five of nine three-point attempts and maintaining his league lead with 198 made threes this season. The No. 4 overall pick also tied Stephen Curry for the most games by a rookie with at least 25 points and five threes, reaching nine such games and continuing what has been a remarkable debut campaign. Over his last 10 games, the 20-year-old forward is averaging 22.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.5 threes, 3.2 assists and 0.7 steals across 33.5 minutes per contest.

  • Hornets' Kon Knueppel: Buries five threes

Knueppel racked up 20 points (6-13 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds, three assists and one block over 34 minutes during Monday's 110-104 loss to Detroit. Knueppel's shooting touch was on full display Monday, as the rookie knocked down a game-high five three-pointers, matching Detroit's entire team total from beyond the arc. He's now reached the 20-point mark in three straight contests and has hit five-plus threes in 15 games this season. Selected No. 4 overall in the 2025 NBA Draft, Knueppel has handled the expectations well and continues to back up the hype with high-level production.

  • Hornets' Kon Knueppel: Sets new career-high scoring mark

Knueppel totaled 34 points (10-16 FG, 8-12 3Pt, 6-6 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one steal in 36 minutes during Thursday's 123-121 win over the Mavericks. Cooper Flagg remains the best rookie in this year's class, but Knueppel has been better than advertised and has emerged as a key player for the Hornets already. This 34-point output was Knueppel's highest-scoring output of his career, and the eight three-pointers were also a career-best mark. Knueppel is averaging 18.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.8 three-pointers made per game since the beginning of January while making 42.3 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc over that stretch.

  • Hornets' Kon Knueppel: Excellent rookie campaign continues

Knueppel finished Monday's 130-93 win over the 76ers with 12 points (5-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt), eight rebounds, six assists and two steals across 20 minutes. The rookie first-rounder is regarded for his sharpshooting ability, but he also showed off his playmaking skills Monday. Over his last eight appearances, Knueppel has averaged 17.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.1 three-pointers in 29.4 minutes per game.

  • Hornets' Kon Knueppel: Double-doubles against Golden State

Knueppel produced 24 points (9-14 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 29 minutes during Saturday's 136-116 loss to the Warriors. The double-double was his third of the season and first since Nov. 10. Knueppel continues to fill up the bucket from long range, draining multiple three-pointers in 18 of his last 19 games and averaging 20.4 points, 4.9 boards, 4.2 assists and 3.5 threes over that stretch while shooting 52.5 percent from the floor and 46.9 percent from beyond the arc.

  • Hornets' Kon Knueppel: Posts 18 points in defeat

Knueppel finished with 18 points (8-12 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and four assists over 35 minutes during Monday's 117-109 loss to the Clippers. Knueppel had a solid night despite failing to convert beyond the arc during the loss. The 2025 first-round pick keeps the 2025-26 Rookie of the Year race close, as his average of 19.1 points is currently tied with his college teammate Cooper Flagg. Knueppel is aided by an excellent 48.0 percent conversion rate from the floor, and he currently sinks three-pointers at a 42.5-percent clip.

  • Hornets' Kon Knueppel: Struggles from deep vs. Toronto

Knueppel logged 11 points (4-17 FG, 3-11 3Pt), eight rebounds, three assists and one block over 33 minutes during the Hornets' 97-96 loss to the Raptors on Wednesday. Knueppel looked to be on his way to a nice scoring night after draining two of four three-pointers in the first quarter, but the rookie struggled with his shot for the rest of the contest, though his eight boards were his most in a game since Nov. 19 against the Pacers. Knueppel entered Wednesday's contest shooting 43.5 percent from three while attempting 8.3 three-pointers per game, so off nights are bound to happen from time to time. He'll aim to bounce back during the second leg of the Hornets' back-to-back set Thursday against the Pacers.

Knueppel (hip) is available for Monday's game against the Thunder. Knueppel was initially listed as questionable due to a right hip contusion before being upgraded to probable, and he has now been cleared to play Monday. The rookie first-rounder has appeared in each of the Hornets' last three games, averaging 21.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.0 three-pointers in 33.0 minutes per contest during that span.

After missing Monday's game against the Bucks with a minor ankle sprain, Knueppel returned and scored at least 20 points for the fifth time in his last eight contests. Over that stretch, the rookie wing is averaging 23.0 points, 4.6 assists, 4.5 threes and 4.1 boards.
