Murray recorded three points (1-4 FG, 1-3 3Pt), a rebound, two assists and two steals across 16 minutes in Friday's 107-103 preseason loss to the Celtics.
Head coach Mike Malone had already declared Murray would be among the starters who would have a reduced workload during Friday's preseason opener, so it wasn't surprising to see him log 16 minutes, as no starter reached the 20-minute mark. That said, Murray looked rusty and struggled to make an impact on both ends of the court. Murray should continue to ramp up in the preseason, and fantasy managers shouldn't have any reason to worry about him ahead of the 2024-25 regular season.

Coach Mike Malone said Murray is expected to play limited minutes during Friday's preseason opener against the Celtics, Katy Winge of Altitude Sports reports.
Murray will likely continue to play limited minutes throughout the preseason as Denver wishes to give increased playing time to its bench units. However, Murray should return to a full workload once the regular season rolls around.
Murray and the Nuggets have come to terms on a four-year, $209 million extension, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Murray will now be under contract with the Nuggets through the 2029 season. The star point guard tied a career high with 21.2 points per game last season while also posting a career-best 6.5 assists across 59 games. He will enter his ninth season as the Nuggets' No. 2 option behind Nikola Jokic.
Murray (rest) will play in Sunday's exhibition game against Puerto Rico, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Murray sat out Friday's exhibition versus France due to rest purposes and will operate off Canada's bench Sunday. The Nuggets' point guard will be one of several NBA players suiting up for Canada during the 2024 Paris Olympics.
