Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Questionable at Phoenix
Murray is questionable for Friday's matchup at the Suns due to a sprained right ankle.
On Wednesday, Murray returned from an 11-game absence due to a hamstring injury. He had a quality outing, posting 16 points (4-14 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT), six rebounds and six assists in 22 minutes with no turnovers in the win over the Rockets. Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Struggles from field in return
Murray (hamstring) closed with 16 points (4-14 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT), six rebounds and six assists across 22 minutes during Wednesday's 134-124 win over the Rockets.
On the surface, Murray had a decent showing against Houston, especially when considering he hadn't played since Nov. 4 due to a nagging hamstring injury that kept him out for 11 straight games. The Nuggets kept Murray's playing time in check in his return from a three-and-a-half-week absence, but the 26-year-old probably only needs another game or two to get fully ramped up. Murray's return to the lineup is expected to most negatively affect Reggie Jackson, who moved to the bench and finished with 14 points in 24 minutes after erupting for a season-high 35 points over 40 minutes in the Nuggets' previous game Monday against the Clippers.

Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Returning to face Rockets
Murray (hamstring) will play in Wednesday's game against Houston, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Murray will make his long-awaited return after missing 11 games with a right hamstring strain. While it's likely Murray will be under some sort of restrictions, he should be expected to replace Reggie Jackson in the first unit for Wednesday's tilt. In the seven games he's played, Murray has averaged 16.3 points, 7.4 assists and 2.6 rebounds over 30.9 minutes.

Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Chance to suit up Wednesday
Murray (hamstring) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Rockets.
Murray has missed 11 straight games due to a right hamstring strain, but as Shams Charania of The Athletic reported earlier in the week, the point guard will have a chance to suit up Wednesday. If available, Murray would presumably be subject to a minute restriction following a lengthy absence, but more information on his workload will likely be available prior to the 9 p.m. ET tipoff.

Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Out Monday, could return soon
Murray (hamstring) has been ruled out for Monday's matchup against the Clippers but could return later in the week, Shams Charania reported on FanDuel TV's "Run It Back" program.
Murray will miss an 11th straight game Monday due to a right hamstring strain, but his return to action appears imminent. Charania said the All-Star guard is considered day-to-day at this point, adding that Murray could return as soon as Wednesday's matchup versus Houston. However, the Nuggets will end Week 6 with a Friday/Saturday back-to-back set versus the Suns and Kings, respectively, so even if Murray is cleared this week, it's difficult to imagine him playing in more than two games. Murray will presumably be subject to a minute restriction following a lengthy absence, so Reggie Jackson should continue to get plenty of run over the next couple of days.

Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Not playing Friday
Murray (hamstring) has been downgraded to out to face the Rockets on Friday.
Murray was always expected to be sidelined for Friday's contest, so this is not a surprise. Reggie Jackson will remain as the starting point guard, while Murray's next chance to return will come Sunday at home against the Spurs.

Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Out Wednesday, likely out Friday
Murray (hamstring) will not play Wednesday in Orlando and is considered doubtful for Friday's matchup in Houston, Vic Lombardi of AltitudeTV reports.
As expected, Murray likely won't return to action during the Nuggets' current five-game road trip despite traveling with the team. However, he could be back in the mix Sunday, when Denver returns home to face San Antonio. Murray hasn't been cleared for full-contact drills yet but has been partaking in pregame workouts.

Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Unlikely to play on road trip
Head coach Michael Malone said Monday that he doesn't think Murray (hamstring) will be ready to play in any of the remaining three games of the Nuggets' road trip, Katy Winge of Altitude Sports reports.
Murray is traveling with the team during the five-game trip, which started Friday in New Orleans. However, the star point guard looks like he'll remain sidelined for at least the next three contests before potentially returning when Denver plays its next home game Sunday versus San Antonio. Per Winge, Murray has been going through pregame workouts and is progressing well, but the team's medical staff hasn't cleared him for full-contact work yet. In Murray's absence, Reggie Jackson has moved into the starting lineup, but Christian Braun has also made a strong impact off the bench during recent games.

Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Not ruled out for road trip
Head coach Michael Malone said Thursday that Murray (hamstring) is getting closer to a return and will join the Nuggets for their five-game road trip, which begins Friday in New Orleans, Harrison Wind of TheDNVR.com reports. "I don't know if on this road trip he'll play or not," Malone said, when asked about Murray's status.
Murray suffered a right hamstring strain Nov. 4, and though the Nuggets never put an official timeline on the star point guard's return to the lineup, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported last week that Murray was expected to remain sidelined through the end of the month. Though Malone is leaving the door open for Murray to potentially play during the road trip -- which runs through Nov. 24 -- it's more likely than not that the Nuggets will take a cautious approach and give him the recommend 3-to-4 weeks off for his hamstring to properly heal. At the very least, Malone's comments Thursday would seem to indicate that Murray has made progress on some level in his recovery.

Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Slated to miss rest of November
Murray will likely be sidelined for the rest of November due to a right hamstring strain, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
As expected, Murray will miss an extended period due to a hamstring injury he sustained during Saturday's win over the Bulls. In Murray's absence, Reggie Jackson should be Denver's starting point guard, but the offense will presumably still run through Nikola Jokic. Julian Strawther, Christian Braun and Collin Gillespie are also candidates for increased bench roles until Murray returns.

Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Injures hamstring Saturday
Murray (hamstring) won't return to Saturday's game against the Bulls. He'll finish Saturday with two points (1-3 FG) and two rebounds.
Murray had been a candidate to sit Saturday in the second leg of a back-to-back set, and though he ultimately suited up, his night ended after just two quarters due to a tight right hamstring. Reggie Jackson started at point guard to begin the second half and will most likely join the top unit for the Nuggets' next game Monday against the Pelicans if Murray is unable to recover from the hamstring injury in time.
