Mavericks' Christian Wood: Available for season finale
Wood is not on the injury report for the season finale Sunday against the Spurs.
The Mavericks will rest several starters for the season finale, but Wood won't be one of them, and it wouldn't be surprising if he ends up operating as one of the focal points on offense in a game the team has nothing to play for. Wood is averaging 13.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game since the beginning of March.

Mavericks' Christian Wood: Won't play Friday
Wood has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Bulls due to rest purposes.
With the Mavericks a half game out of the final Play-In spot, they will surprisingly rest Wood, Kyrie Irving, Josh Green, Tim Hardaway and Maxi Kleber. Wood should be back for Dallas' regular-season finale Sunday against the Spurs, which will likely be a must-win game for the Mavericks, regardless of Friday's outcome.

Mavericks' Christian Wood: Invisible again in loss
Wood produced eight points (3-5 FG, 2-3 3Pt), two assists, one rebound and one block over 13 minutes during Saturday's 129-122 loss to the Heat.
Wood's season continues to go from bad to worse, as he's now played fewer than 15 minutes for the third straight game. Despite Wood's promising start to the season, the Dallas coaching staff seems to have since realized his impact, or lack thereof, on the defensive end is hard to cover. While his minutes continue to remain suppressed, Wood can be dropped in the majority of formats.

Mavericks' Christian Wood: Plays just 12 minutes in win
Wood ended with six points (3-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound, two assists and one block across 12 minutes during Monday's 127-104 win over the Pacers.
Even with Maxi Kleber (hamstring) sidelined, Wood still tied his season low with 12 minutes played. The talented forward has been held under 20 minutes in back-to-back games and has totaled just 15 points during those contests after scoring in double figures in 16 of his previous 17 appearances.

Mavericks' Christian Wood: Nears double-double
Wood closed with 20 points (6-13 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 7-8 FT), nine rebounds and six assists in 29 minutes during Monday's 112-108 loss to the Grizzlies.
Wood came off the bench for a 17th straight contest, but he logged 29 minutes and finished tied for second on the Mavericks in scoring. The forward also led the team with nine rebounds and six assists, turning in a strong all-around stat line. After seeing his minutes drop mostly into the teens and low 20s through February and early March, Wood is averaging 30.3 minutes over his past three games and contributing 20.0 points, 10.3 boards, 5.7 assists and 1.3 steals over that stretch.

Mavericks' Christian Wood: Posts well-rounded stat line Friday
Wood totaled 12 points (5-15 FG, 2-3 3Pt), nine rebounds, eight assists, one block and four steals across 34 minutes during Friday's 111-110 win over the Lakers.
Wood came off the bench but trailed only Kyrie Irving (34 minutes) for the most playing time on the team. Wood didn't shoot well from the field but made his mark across multiple categories, leading Dallas in rebounds, assists and steals. His four thefts tied a season high, and the other time he reached that mark also came against the Lakers (on Christmas Day).

Mavericks' Christian Wood: Ends slide with big double-double
Wood (foot) finished Wednesday's 137-128 overtime win over the Spurs with 28 points (8-17 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 10-11 FT), 13 rebounds, three assists and one block across 28 minutes.
Wood returned from a one-game absence due to a foot injury and took on a central role offensively for Dallas, though it comes with the caveat that Dallas was without both Kyrie Irving (foot) and Luka Doncic (thigh) for the third contest in a row. Irving suggested that his foot injury is worse than he initially anticipated, and while he could be trending toward another absence Friday against the Lakers, the Mavericks may have Doncic available for that contest. If that's the case, Wood likely wouldn't come close to reaching the team-high 39.9 percent usage rate he handled Wednesday, but he should still see enough playing time and touches to bring value in the points, rebounds and field-goal percentage categories. Wood will be a less palatable option once Dallas has both of its two star guards back in the fold.

Mavericks' Christian Wood: Questionable against Spurs
Wood (foot) is questionable for Wednesday's game versus San Antonio.
Wood is in danger of missing his second straight game Wednesday due to right foot soreness. If the 27-year-old big man is ultimately ruled out, his next chance to suit up will be Friday's matchup with the Lakers.

Mavericks' Christian Wood: Won't play Monday
Wood (foot) has been ruled out for Monday's matchup against the Grizzlies.
Wood has been downgraded from questionable to out due to right foot soreness and will join Kyrie Irving (foot) and Luka Doncic (thigh) on the sidelines. Without three of their best offensive players, the Mavericks will have to rely heavily on Jaden Hardy and Tim Hardaway to create plays versus Memphis.

Mavericks' Christian Wood: Questionable Monday
Wood (right foot soreness) is questionable for Monday's matchup with Memphis.
Wood is a late addition to the injury report with some soreness in his right foot, so there's a chance he'll be joining Kyrie Irving (foot) and Luka Doncic (thigh) on the sidelines Monday night. He'll test his foot again while going through his pregame routine, so Wood will essentially be a game-time call. If he's not able to give it a go, his minutes would be divvied up amongst Davis Bertans, Maxi Kleber and Dwight Powell.

Mavericks' Christian Wood: Grabs team-high eight boards
Wood notched 15 points (6-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT), eight rebounds and one assist across 26 minutes during Wednesday's 113-106 loss to the Pelicans.
Wood's best quarter came in the second, scoring nine points on 4-of-7 shooting from the floor to go along with four rebounds. He took only three shots in the second half, making two of them for another six points while also being charged with four personal fouls in the fourth quarter alone. The 6-foot-9 forward finished with a team-high eight rebounds, though just three came in the second half. Wood is averaging just 12.3 points and 4.5 rebounds per game to start this month.

Mavericks' Christian Wood: Lackluster production in win
Wood chipped in seven points (3-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds and two blocks over 21 minutes during Tuesday's 120-116 win over the Jazz.
Wood snapped a nine-game double-double scoring streak with a lackluster offensive performance Tuesday. However, he somewhat salvaged his production with two blocks, marking his 16th game with multiple swats. Wood could see a larger offensive workload Wednesday with Maxi Kleber (hamstring) and Reggie Bullock (quad) sidelined for the second half of Dallas' back-to-back set.

Mavericks' Christian Wood: Strong showing off bench
Wood recorded 17 points (5-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 6-7 FT), three rebounds and one steal over 22 minutes off the bench during Sunday's 130-126 loss to Phoenix.
The 27-year-old is adjusting well to his new role as a source of bench scoring behind the dynamic duo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. Wood has scored in double digits in nine straight games since the Irving trade, averaging 15.3 points, 4.7 boards, 1.6 threes and 1.3 assists in only 19 minutes a game as part of the second unit.

Mavericks' Christian Wood: Fifth straight in double figures
Wood had 16 points (4-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 8-9 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 22 minutes during Thursday's 142-116 victory over the Spurs.
Wood's offensive aggressiveness paid off and earned him nine trips to the free-throw line, his fifth most this season. He took advantage of those opportunities and extended his double-digit scoring streak to five games. During that stretch, the talented big man has averaged 17.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 steals-plus-blocks in 19.4 minutes per game. Wood's production has dropped a bit since moving to a bench role, but he still provides solid all-around production and remains a solid fantasy option during the stretch run.

Mavericks' Christian Wood: Active Wednesday
Wood (illness) will suit up for Wednesday's meeting with the Nuggets.
Wood was initially tabbed questionable with a non-COVID illness, but he will give it a go Wednesday. He has seen a diminished workload in his last five appearances after missing eight games with a thumb injury, averaging just 17.6 minutes. Despite the limited minutes, Wood managed to put up 12.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists across that span and was able to play 23 minutes last time out.
