Ty Lawson: Set to play in Greece
Lawson is expected to sign a contract with the Greek club Kolossos Rhodes, Sam Amico reports.
Lawson is headed to play ball in Greece after getting banned from the Chinese Basketball Association for posting an inappropriate photo on social media. The 33-year-old averaged 27.3 points, 8.8 assists and 2.5 steals while playing for the Fujian Sturgeons during the 2019-20 season.

Ty Lawson: Finds work in China
Lawson agreed to a contract Saturday with Shandong of the Chinese Basketball Association, Emiliano Carchia of Sportando.com reports.
Lawson will assume the roster spot of Andrew Goudelock, who was ruled out for the season with a knee injury. The point guard previously played for Shandong last season and averaged 25.5 points, 6.5 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game before latching on with the Wizards once the CBA campaign ended. The 31-year-old didn't draw much interest from NBA suitors this past offseason, but could resurface in North America in the spring if he impresses in China again.

Wizards' Ty Lawson: Flirts with double-double in Game 2
Lawson totaled 14 points (4-10 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight assists and three rebounds across 31 minutes in Tuesday's 130-119 loss to the Raptors.
After signing a deal with the Wizards just under a week ago, Lawson came out in Game 2 and played 31 minutes off the bench, providing a spark shooting from deep by connecting on four threes. After seeing no time in Game 1, Lawson saw more run than anyone expected, and it seems as though the team is comfortable letting him operate as the third guard in the rotation with John Wall and Bradley Beal for the rest of the series.

Wizards' Ty Lawson: Signs with Wizards
Lawson signed with the Wizards on Thursday, Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports reports.
Lawson was out of the NBA this season after there was seemingly no interest in his services, and he ended up signing with the Shandong Golden Stars in China. Lawson will be the second backup point guard the Wizards have signed over the course of the last month, as they also brought on Ramon Sessions in mid-March, which leaves them with a fairly crowded backcourt heading into the postseason. As a result, Lawson likely won't be playing much more than a deep bench role while Washington's season is still alive.

Ty Lawson: Signs deal with Chinese team
Lawson has agreed to a deal with the Shandong Golden Stars in China, freelance reporter David Pick reports.
There were reports in mid-July that Lawson had secured a contract with the Shanxi Dragons in China, but those were shot down by Lawson on his personal Twitter account. He will indeed play in China next season, however, just with a different squad. Seemingly no NBA teams were interested in his services and/or asking price after he posted 9.9 points, 4.8 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 steals across 25.1 minutes per game with the Kings during the 2016-17 campaign.

Ty Lawson: No longer heading overseas
Updating a previous report, Lawson announced on his personal Twitter account that he hasn't signed with the Shanxi Dragons of the Chinese Basketball Association.
Lawson was reportedly slated to head to China following little interest on the open free agent market, but it appears he still has hope of latching on with another NBA team for the upcoming campaign. With the regular season still months away, Lawson will continue to shop around for potential suitors, but he'd likely be no more than a reserve option if he signs with another team. Last year with the Kings, Lawson averaged 9.9 points, 2.6 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.1 steals across 25.1 minutes.

Ty Lawson: Secures contract in China
Lawson has agreed to a contract with the Shanxi Dragons of the Chinese Basketball Association, international writer David Pick reports.
Lawson spent the entire 2016-17 campaign with the Kings, averaging 9.9 pints, 2.6 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.1 steals across 25.1 minutes. He shot 45.4 percent from the field, but also a career-low 28.8 percent from deep, which severely hurts his value in today's NBA landscape. After fielding minimal interest as a free agent, he'll now head overseas to China after eight seasons in the NBA. He'll join Luis Scola as two former players playing for the Shanxi Dragons. There's no word on whether or not Lawson's current deal with come with an opt-out clause in case NBA teams come calling during the upcoming season.
