  • Kings' JaVale McGee: Efficient performance in win

McGee chipped in eight points (4-5 FG) and four rebounds over 10 minutes during Monday's 103-94 win over Memphis. McGee went 4-for-5 from the field, playing exactly 10 minutes for the third time in the past four games. While it is good to see McGee out on the floor, his days of being a fantasy-relevant player are well behind him. Barring an injury to Domantas Sabonis, McGee is not worth adding in any format.

  • Kings' JaVale McGee: Available to play

McGee (wrist) is available for Friday's game against the Suns. McGee was carrying a questionable tag prior to this update. He's averaging just 7.0 minutes per game in December and is just an emergency depth option for Sacramento.

  • Kings' JaVale McGee: Questionable for Friday

  • Kings' JaVale McGee: Decent output off bench in loss

McGee finished with 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-4 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 13 minutes during Monday's 129-93 loss to the Pelicans. The Kings were woeful on offense Monday, and very few players stood out, though McGee was one of them after putting up solid numbers off the bench in limited minutes. Domantas Sabonis is firmly entrenched as the Kings' starting center, and the only reason McGee saw extended minutes in this game was due to the nature of the blowout contest. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect McGee to deliver these numbers regularly going forward.

McGee provided four points (2-2 FG) and one assist across eight minutes during Friday's 129-120 win over San Antonio. McGee played single-digit minutes for a third consecutive game Friday and was unable to carve out much production in the victory. He's had a limited role to begin his first year in Sacramento, averaging 6.7 points and 3.3 rebounds in 11.1 minutes per game.

  • Kings' JaVale McGee: Will join the Kings

McGee will sign a deal with the Kings, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. McGee was recently let go by the Mavericks, but the veteran still has plenty left in the tank going into his age-36 season. Minutes won't be easy to come by in Sacramento, however, as McGee will have to compete with Alex Len and Nerlens Noel for backup center minutes behind Domantas Sabonis.

  • JaVale McGee: On way out of Dallas

The Mavericks are expected to stretch-and-waive McGee on Tuesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Per Keith Smith of Spotrac.com, McGee is owed approximately $11.7 million over the final two years of the three-year deal he signed with Dallas last offseason. To facilitate McGee's impending release, Dallas will stretch that amount over five years, meaning the center will make around $2.3 million annually through 2027-28. McGee appeared in 42 games (seven starts) last season and averaged just 4.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and a career-low 0.6 blocks in 8.5 minutes per contest. Once the transaction is completed, the 35-year-old will be free to entertain offers from other teams.

McGee's next chance to suit up arrives Wednesday versus the Pelicans.
