  • Rangers' Wyatt Langford: Logs RBI in fifth straight

Langford went 1-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Royals.

The story of the game was the return of Max Scherzer to the mound, but Langford also contributed to the Rangers' fourth straight win. His fourth-inning double plated Texas' first run and he came home on Leody Taveras' two-run single. Langford has at least one hit and one RBI in five consecutive games, knocking in 10 runs in all while going 8-for-19 with five extra-base hits.

  • Rangers' Wyatt Langford: Showcasing power

Langford went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in Saturday's 6-0 win over the Royals.

Langford provided insurance when he launched a grand slam in the eighth inning, giving the team a six-run lead heading into the final frame. Until this week, the rookie had been held to one inside-the-park home run, which was uncharacteristic for the prospect that carried 70-grade power. That all changed this week; Saturday's granny was the second outside-the-park home run this week for Langford, who is 7-for-15 with four extra-base hits and nine RBI over the last four contests. Since returning from a three-week stint on the injured list in May, Langford is slashing .299/.341/.481 with eight extra-base hits, 19 RBI and six steals over 21 games.

  • Rangers' Wyatt Langford: Collects two hits, stolen base

Langford went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and a stolen base in a 5-3 victory versus the Mets on Wednesday.

Langford logged an RBI on a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch in the first inning and added a run-scoring single in the sixth. The rookie finished with his sixth multi-hit effort in June and pushed his batting average up to .288 on the month. That's a nice improvement after Langford batted just .222 coming into June, and the added hits have helped him become more of a run producer. Of Langford's 24 RBI on the season, 11 have come across his 16 contests this month.
