Brewers' Willy Adames: Ends spring on high note
Adames went 2-for-3 with a double and a run in Tuesday's spring finale.
Adames recorded just seven hits over his first 12 appearances of the spring -- which were sandwiched around a WBC stint with the Dominican Republic -- but he picked up three over the final two games he appeared in before the Brewers broke camp. Adames hit second or third in each spring game he appeared in, which all but locks him into a spot in the upper third of the order to begin the season.

Brewers' Willy Adames: Sitting after elimination
Adames is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Pirates.
It's fitting that Adames, who leads Milwaukee's position players in fWAR (4.6) by a wide margin, will get the day off after they were eliminated from the postseason mix Monday. Luis Urias is starting at shortstop and batting cleanup.

He's been very hot at the dish across his last 10 starts, maintaining a .457 average with five homers, 16 RBI and 11 runs scored. Adames is putting together a nice conclusion to his breakout season, as he has already established career-best marks in runs scored, RBI, home runs and stolen bases across 562 plate appearances.

Brewers' Willy Adames: Homers in four-RBI night
Adames went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and an RBI double in a 7-6 victory over the Yankees on Friday.
Adames helped power the Brewers to victory with his 29th home run of the season and a ground-rule double that netted him his 89th RBI. Adames' average has been down considerably from his .262 mark last season, but he has more than made up for it by hitting for power. The 27-year-old shortstop is on the precipice of achieving his first 30-homer season.
