  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Shines in season finale

Knight saved 34 of 37 shots on goal in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Senators. Knight was excellent Tuesday as he allowed just one goal at even strength early in the first period. After the Senators scored two power-play goals in the second period, Knight tended a clean final frame before the Blackhawks would take the win early in the extra period. Overall, the 23-year-old netminder wraps up the season with a 17-16-3 record, a 2.72 GAA and a .902 save percentage across 38 appearances. Knight posted 72 saves across his last two starts. He has one year left in his current contract, making him the safe bet to be the Opening Night starter for Chicago next season.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Expected starter against Ottawa

Knight is slated to draw the road start against the Senators on Tuesday, according to TSN 1200 Ottawa. Knight made a season-high 38 saves on 42 shots Saturday against Winnipeg but was charged with the shootout loss. The 23-year-old has recorded just one win in his last seven appearances, turning in a 3.39 GAA and an .879 save percentage across that span. However, the Sens are choosing to rest a few players Tuesday, so Knight has an opportunity to close out the campaign on a high note. The Connecticut native is 2-1-0 with one shutout, a 3.67 GAA and an .879 save percentage over three career outings against Ottawa.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Battles in shootout loss

Knight stopped 37 of 41 shots in Saturday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Jets. Knight's strong performance in goal was a key reason why the Blackhawks made it to the shootout. The 23-year-old netminder allowed two goals in the second period and another two in the third frame before stopping six shots in overtime. However, Winnipeg's Kyle Connor and Cole Perfetti would get the better of Knight in the shootout to steal the win. Knight has a 16-16-3 record with a .901 save percentage and a 2.72 GAA through 37 appearances between Chicago and Florida this season. While he lacks the win totals of top netminders in fantasy, he's garnered a high save volume over the past few weeks to produce a solid output in most formats. Knight will probably get at least one more start before the end of the 2024-25 campaign, with Chicago set to play a road back-to-back against Montreal on Monday and versus Ottawa on Tuesday.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: In goal Saturday

Knight will protect the home net against Winnipeg on Saturday, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports. In his last outing, Knight allowed five goals on 27 shots in a 5-0 loss to Pittsburgh on Tuesday. He has a 4-8-1 record with a 3.16 GAA and an .889 save percentage across 13 appearances with Chicago this season. Winnipeg ranks third in the league with 3.39 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Hung out to dry in Pittsburgh

Knight turned aside 22 shots in Tuesday's 5-0 loss to the Penguins. Sidney Crosby potted a power-play tally with 16 seconds left in the first period for what proved to be the game-winner, and Chicago's skaters gave Knight no help the rest of the way. The young netminder has been tagged for four or more goals in six of his last nine outings, going 2-6-1 over that stretch with a 3.57 GAA and .870 save percentage. The talent that made Knight the 13th overall pick in the 2019 Draft is still there, but the team around him will need to get a lot better over the summer if he's going to have much fantasy appeal next season.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Takes another loss Friday

Knight stopped 24 of 28 shots in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Capitals. The fifth goal was an empty-netter. It took a couple of saves late in the game, but Knight avoided being the goalie to give up Alex Ovechkin's all-time record-breaking goal. Knight was still on the hook for the goal that allowed the Capitals' captain to tie Wayne Gretzky at 894 goals, as well as three other tallies in this contest. Knight has gone 0-3-1 with 14 goals allowed over his last four contests, and he's lost eight of his last nine outings. He's at a 15-15-2 record with a 2.67 GAA and a .901 save percentage across 34 appearances between Chicago and Florida this season. The Blackhawks' next two games are Sunday and Tuesday versus the Penguins in a home-and-home set that begins in Chicago.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Facing Capitals

Knight will guard the visiting crease in Washington on Friday, Vinnie Parise of The Hockey News reports. Knight has taken over as the No. 1 goaltender in Chicago after his trade from Florida for Seth Jones on March 1. Knight is 3-6-1 with a 3.11 GAA and an .892 save percentage in 10 starts after going 12-8-1 with a 2.40 GAA with the Panthers over 23 games in 2024-25. The Capitals should give Knight all he can handle as they lead the NHL in scoring, averaging 3.60 goals per game this season.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Set to face Colorado

Knight is expected to start at home against Colorado on Wednesday, per Charlie Roumeliotis of WGN Radio. Knight has allowed four goals in each of his past three outings, stopping just 58 of 70 shots (.829 save percentage) across that stretch. He's 15-14-1 with a 2.65 GAA and a .901 save percentage in 32 outings between Florida and Chicago in 2024-25. Colorado ranks sixth in goals per game with 3.32.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Struggles again Friday

Knight stopped 17 of 21 shots in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Golden Knights. The fifth goal was an empty-netter. Knight took his sixth loss in seven outings, and this was the third game in a row in which he allowed at least four goals. The 23-year-old netminder looked like he might defy logic immediately after getting traded to the Blackhawks, but the team's young and shaky defense has caught up to him. Knight is down to 15-14-1 with a 2.65 GAA and a .901 save percentage over 32 appearances this season. The Blackhawks host Utah on Sunday, but it's not yet known which of Knight or Arvid Soderblom will get the start for that contest.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Starting against New Jersey

Knight will serve as the starting netminder for Wednesday's home game against New Jersey, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Knight snapped a four-game losing streak Sunday against Philadelphia despite allowing four goals on 29 shots (.862 save percentage). He's made two starts against New Jersey this year -- one at home and one on the road -- and has gone 1-1-0 with a 1.95 GAA and .920 save percentage in those appearances, both of which occurred while he was with the Panthers.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Wins despite conceding four

Knight stopped 24 of 28 shots in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Flyers. Knight finally snapped his four-game losing skid Sunday and got back to winning ways, although the performance wasn't his best, so fantasy managers still can't trust the 23-year-old in most matchups. Over his last five outings, Knight has gone 1-4-0 with a 3.45 GAA and a subpar .873 save percentage.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Starting Sunday

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Starting again Thursday

Knight will protect the home goal versus the Kings on Thursday, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Knight has lost his last three starts, giving up 11 goals on 74 shots in that span. The 23-year-old won his first start with the Blackhawks in a March 3 game versus the Kings, but he was busy in that game with a 41-save effort. The Kings have gone 5-1-1 since that contest, scoring 19 times over seven contests.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Skid reaches three games

Knight stopped 24 of 30 shots in Tuesday's 6-2 loss to the Kraken. Knight has now allowed 11 goals during his three-game losing streak. He had an opportunity Tuesday to tighten his grip on the starting job after Arvid Soderblom gave up six goals versus the Canucks, but Knight's poor performance against a lesser team is not encouraging. The 23-year-old Knight is still likely to receive a slight edge in starts down the stretch. He's now at 14-11-1 with a 2.51 GAA and a .906 save percentage through 28 appearances between the Blackhawks and the Panthers. Chicago's next game is a tough home matchup versus the Kings on Thursday, though Knight dazzled in a 41-save effort to earn a 5-1 win over Los Angeles in his Blackhawks debut March 3.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Facing Seattle

Knight will draw the home start Tuesday against the Kraken, according to Charlie Roumeliotis of WGN Radio. Knight has dropped back-to-back games after winning his first two outings with the Blackhawks since being acquired in a trade from the Panthers. He's posted a solid .928 save percentage and a 2.24 GAA with Chicago so far. Seattle is tied for 14th in the NHL in 2024-25 with 2.97 goals per game this season.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Takes another loss

Knight stopped 21 of 24 shots in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Sharks. The fourth goal was an empty-netter. Knight dropped to 2-2-0 as a Blackhawk after losing a battle between bottom-dwelling teams in the league. The 23-year-old has largely played well to start his time with Chicago, but he'll have to steal most of his wins given the team in front of him. Overall, he's now 14-10-1 with a 2.38 GAA and a .911 save percentage over 27 outings between the Blackhawks and the Panthers. This was the first time he's started consecutive games with his new team, though Arvid Soderblom has also done a decent job this year and won't be pushed out of the goaltending equation altogether. The Blackhawks wrap up this four-game road trip in Vancouver on Saturday.
