  • Kings' Jeff Malott: Likely done for regular season

Malott (undisclosed) didn't accompany the Kings on the team's three-game road trip, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports Monday. Malott will sit out his second straight game against Seattle on Monday. He appears poised to conclude the regular season with three goals, nine points, 54 shots on net, 166 hits and 55 PIM in 58 appearances.

  • Kings' Jeff Malott: Unavailable Saturday

Malott (undisclosed) won't play Saturday versus Edmonton, per Dennis Bernstein of The Fourth Period. Malott has three goals, nine points, 55 PIM and 166 hits in 58 outings in 2025-26. Mathieu Joseph or Alex Turcotte will draw into the lineup Saturday due to Malott's absence.

  • Kings' Jeff Malott: Game-time call for Saturday

Malott missed Friday's practice due to an undisclosed injury and will be a game-time decision Saturday versus Edmonton, per Alexander Legget of Mayor's Manor. Malott has three goals nine points, 55 PIM and 166 hits in 58 outings this season while serving primarily on the fourth line. If he can't play Saturday, then Mathieu Joseph might draw back into the lineup.

  • Kings' Jeff Malott: Slumping on offense

Malott's point drought reached nine games in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Flames. Malott has just two helpers over 16 contests since the start of February. His slump could cost him playing time -- he sat out Sunday versus the Mammoth but bumped Alex Turcotte back out of the lineup Tuesday. Malott has minimal fantasy upside -- he's at nine points, 49 shots on net, 154 hits, 41 PIM and a minus-8 rating over 53 appearances this season.

  • Kings' Jeff Malott: Goal in return from press box

Malott scored a goal and laid three hits in Thursday's 5-3 loss to Tampa Bay. Malott had been a healthy scratch the past six games. He drove in on the forecheck and popped the puck loose with a hard check. Malott jumped on a loose puck and ripped a wrister from the high slot. It was his third goal of the season (23 games). His 71 hits are impressive considering his games played, but his time in the press box limits any impact he might have.

  • Kings' Jeff Malott: Offense quiet in part-time role

Malott's point drought reached 12 games in Saturday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Flames. Malott has racked up 33 hits, 10 shots on net and six blocked shots during his slump. He's also been scratched eight times, and he looks to be competing with Andrei Kuzmenko for one spot in the lineup currently. Malott's ceiling is likely the fourth line -- he has two goals, 63 hits, eight blocked shots, 23 PIM and 17 shots on net through 21 appearances this year.

  • Kings' Jeff Malott: Scores in win

Malott scored a goal, added four PIM and doled out four hits in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Sharks. Malott put the Kings ahead 2-0 in the second period. The enforcer had been a healthy scratch in the previous two games, but he replaced Warren Foegele (upper body) in the lineup for this contest and will likely retain a fourth-line spot throughout Foegele's absence. Malott has two goals, 23 PIM, 30 hits and six shots on net across nine appearances, so he's unlikely to help much in standard fantasy formats.

  • Kings' Jeff Malott: Deposits first career goal

Malott scored a goal, added three hits and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 6-5 shootout win over the Golden Knights. In his 15th career NHL game, Malott came away with his first career goal. After initially being credited to linemate Joel Armia, a scoring revision during the second intermission indicated that Malott got a touch on the puck at the net front. The 29-year-old Malott has started 2025-26 in a fourth-line role, though he's averaging just 6:27 of ice time while adding six hits and seven PIM over two games. Even if he stays in the lineup over Samuel Helenius, Malott offers little upside for fantasy.

  • Kings' Jeff Malott: Puts up assist

Malott notched an assist in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Kraken. Malott has been with the big club since March 26, and he's appeared in 11 straight games. He was able to get his first NHL point when he assisted on an Alex Laferriere tally in the second period. In addition to the assist, Malott has added 13 shots on net, 18 hits and seven PIM. If he plays during the postseason, it'll likely be in a bottom-six role.

  • Kings' Jeff Malott: Summoned Wednesday

Malott was called up from AHL Ontario on Wednesday, per John Hoven of SiriusXM NHL Network Radio. Malott has 23 goals, 51 points and 80 PIM over 61 outings with Ontario in 2024-25. The 28-year-old hasn't played in the NHL this season, but the Kings might opt to utilize him in a bottom-six capacity.

  • Kings' Jeff Malott: Goes on waivers

Malott was put on waivers Monday, per PuckPedia. Malott generated 22 goals and 52 points in 70 regular-season games for AHL Manitoba in 2023-24. He will probably spend most, if not all, of 2024-25 with AHL Ontario.

  • Jets' Jeff Malott: Goes on waivers

Malott was waived Sunday for the purpose of assignment to AHL Manitoba. Malott racked up 23 goals, 44 points and 82 PIM in 71 AHL outings with the Moose last campaign. He will probably spent most, if not all, of the 2023-24 season in the minors.

  • Jets' Jeff Malott: Receives two-year contract

Malott signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Jets on Thursday, per CapFriendly. Malott made his NHL debut last season, but he spent the bulk of the year with AHL Manitoba. With the Moose, he recorded 23 goals and 18 assists in 62 contests. He could be a depth option for the Jets going forward, but it's likely the forward spends most of his time in the minors.
