Rempe registered an assist and two hits in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Golden Knights.
The helper was Rempe's first point in seven NHL outings this season to go with 18 hits and 24 PIM. He took the puck and earned the secondary helper on an Adam Edstrom tally in the third period. Rempe could be a regular in the lineup if he can avoid doing anything suspension-worthy, as Chris Kreider (upper body) and Filip Chytil (upper body) are both unavailable. Still, Rempe's style of play isn't conducive to helping in most fantasy formats.

Rangers' Matt Rempe: Suspension served
Rempe has served out his eight-game suspension for boarding and elbowing, making him eligible to face the Devils on Thursday.
Whether Rempe actually plays in Thursday's game remains to be seen considering he has been a frequent healthy scratch even when on the NHL roster. Still, an injury to Filip Chytil (upper body) in Tuesday's matchup with Dallas could open the door for Rempe to get back into the lineup for the first time since Dec. 20 versus the Stars.

Rempe (suspension) will be recalled from AHL Hartford ahead of Tuesday's matchup with Dallas, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.
Rempe's promotion will allow him to serve out the final game of his eight-game suspension Tuesday, a move that was facilitated by Chris Kreider (upper body) being placed on injured reserve. Even once his suspension is over, the 22-year-old Rempe is far from a lock to actually crack the lineup, especially after the Rangers claimed Arthur Kaliyev off waivers Monday.

Rempe (suspension) was assigned to AHL Hartford on Monday.
Rempe was issued an eight-game suspension in late December for boarding and elbowing, and he's been out for the Rangers' last seven matchups. He'll head to the minors after the Rangers claimed Arthur Kaliyev off waivers from the Kings on Monday. Rempe will be immediately eligible to play for Hartford, but he'll still need to miss one more game if he rejoins the NHL club at some point.

Rangers' Matt Rempe: Receives eight-game suspension
Rempe was suspended for eight games by the NHL Department of Player Safety on Sunday for boarding and elbowing Dallas' Miro Heiskanen on Friday.
Rempe was ejected from Friday's 3-1 win over the Stars and received a five-minute major for elbowing on the play. He is considered a repeat offender and will forfeit $80,000 in salary during his suspension. The 22-year-old forward won't be eligible to return until Jan. 9 against New Jersey. Jimmy Vesey and Jonny Brodzinski could play on the fourth line during Rempe's absence.

Rangers' Matt Rempe: Offered in-person hearing
The NHL Department of Player Safety announced Saturday that Rempe has been offered an in-person hearing for elbowing/boarding the Stars' Miro Heiskanen on Friday.
An in-person hearing allows the NHL to suspend Rempe for six games or more. Rempe picked up a minor for roughing, a five-minute major for elbowing and a game misconduct at the 7:13 mark of the third period in Friday's matchup. Rempe has 24 PIM in five NHL appearances this season. He will be ineligible to play against Carolina on Sunday even if a suspension isn't announced before the game.

Rempe opened the scoring in the second period during Sunday's 4-1 Game 1 win over the Capitals.
The fan-favorite forward got the crowd into a frenzy with his goal 4:17 into the second period, and the Rangers rode the wave, adding two more goals in the next 2:06. Rempe added a plus-2 rating, two shots, two PIM and three hits in just 8:33 of ice time. He's no Artemi Panarin with the puck on his stick, but Rempe's physicality and penchant for penalties can provide surprising value in the right formats. Rempe finished serving his four-game suspension following the Rangers' 5-2 victory over the Islanders on Sunday. He was being punished for elbowing Jonas Siegenthaler during last Monday's 3-1 loss to the Devils.
