Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Franchise playoff PP-point leader
Aho picked up an assist in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Capitals in Game 2.
It was his 21st career postseason power-play point, passing Rod Brind'Amour (20) and Eric Staal (20) for the most in franchise history. Aho's nine points (three goals, six assists) lead the Canes this postseason.

Aho (personal) participated in Saturday's practice after missing Friday's session, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
Aho returned to the top line during Saturday's practice, and he will be ready for Game 1 against Washington on Tuesday in the second round of the playoffs. Aho has three goals and eight points through five outings this postseason after producing 29 tallies and 45 assists across 79 appearances during the 2024-25 regular season.

Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Dealing with personal matter
Aho will miss practice Friday while dealing with a personal matter.
Aho's absence hopefully won't impact his availability for Game 1 of the second-round series against the Capitals -- which will likely start Sunday or Monday. If the center were to miss any game time, it would likely fall to Jesperi Kotkaniemi to move into the first-line center role. Aho has been stellar in the postseason, racking up three goals and five helpers in the five games against the Devils.

Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Plays hero to clinch series win
Aho scored two power-play goals, one the game-winner, and added an even-strength assist Tuesday in the Hurricanes' 5-4 double-overtime victory over the Devils in Game 5 of their first-round series.
The 27-year-old tied the score at 4-4 with his first tally midway through the second period, then ended the night, and the series, with a one-timer from the faceoff circle past Jacob Markstrom early in the second OT. Aho has reeled off three straight multi-point performances, and he'll head into the second round with three goals and eight points through five games this postseason.

Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Dishes two apples in road win
Aho banked a pair of assists, including one with the man advantage, levied three hits and went plus-3 in Sunday's 5-2 win over New Jersey in Game 4.
After starting this series with just one helper across the first two games, Aho has produced back-to-back multi-point efforts. The Finnish center logged the secondary helper on two of Andrei Svechnikov's three goals in Sunday's road victory. Aho and Svechnikov, who were reunited on the top line in this contest, are tied for the team lead in playoff scoring with five points over four outings. Based on that duo's output in Game 4, Seth Jarvis may be relegated to a second-line role for now, unless he's able to overtake Jackson Blake's first-line assignment. Aho and his club can advance to the second round if they secure a win in Game 5 on Tuesday.

Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Two power-play points in Game 3
Aho registered a goal and an assist, both on the power play, and added four hits in Friday's 3-2 double-overtime loss to the Devils in Game 3.
Aho had been limited to one assist over two games to begin the first-round playoff series before a bigger performance in Game 3. The center has added seven shots on net, nine hits, two blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over three postseason contests. Aho is in his usual spots on the first line and top power-play unit, so he should continue to be a driving force on offense for the Hurricanes.

Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Set for playoff opener
Aho (rest) will be available for Game 1 against New Jersey on Sunday, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
Aho skated on the top line and first power-play unit during Saturday's practice after missing the final two regular-season games for maintenance. He notched 29 goals and 74 points in 79 games during the 2024-25 campaign.

Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Expected to stay of lineup Thursday
Aho (rest) is slated to miss Thursday's game against Ottawa.
Aho is taking a second straight game off ahead of the playoffs. He's set to finish the regular season with 29 goals and 74 points in 79 appearances. Aho should be back in the lineup for Game 1 of the Hurricanes' first-round series against New Jersey on Sunday.

Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Slated to sit against Montreal
Aho didn't take part in Wednesday's morning skate and is expected to rest during the Hurricanes' matchup against the Canadiens, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
The Hurricanes have already clinched a spot in the playoffs, so Aho will be one of several players resting in the penultimate game of the regular season. Aho is in the midst of a three-game point streak in which he's recorded a goal, three assists, four hits and three blocked shots, and it's unclear whether he'll suit up in Thursday's regular-season finale against Ottawa. Regardless of whether he plays against the Senators, Aho should be available for the start of postseason play.

Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Scores goal Sunday
Aho scored a power-play goal in Sunday's 4-1 loss to Toronto.
Aho netted the Hurricanes' lone goal of the game with a slap shot at the 7:58 mark of the third period. Even though the Hurricanes didn't have their best performance Sunday, at least Aho managed to score his 29th goal of the season. He'll have two more opportunities to reach the 30-goal plateau for a fourth consecutive campaign -- against Montreal on Wednesday and versus Ottawa on Thursday.

Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Dishes pair of assists
Aho notched two assists, two blocked shots and a plus-3 rating in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Rangers.
Aho has warmed up a bit with three helpers over his last two games after enduring a three-game slump. The 27-year-old center has not produced a point streak longer than three contests since mid-December. He's still had a strong year with 28 goals, 45 assists, 203 shots on net, 55 hits and a plus-7 rating over 78 appearances. It's possible he's struggled with multiple changes to the composition of the top line, going from Martin Necas to Mikko Rantanen to Jackson Blake as the Hurricanes shook up the league with two blockbuster trades.

Overall, he's up to 28 goals, 41 helpers, 21 power-play points, seven shorthanded points, 189 shots on net and a plus-8 rating through 72 contests this season. Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Notches goal Friday
Aho tallied a goal and fired four shots on net in Friday's 4-1 win over the Canadiens.
Aho put the puck top shelf past Sam Montembeault in transition to tally Carolina's second of two goals in a two-and-a-half minute span. The 27-year-old Aho is up to 27 goals, 66 points and 185 shots on net in 71 appearances this season. Friday's tally ended a three-game scoreless skid for Aho, who has 15 points in his last 18 outings. Carolina's top-line center is just four points away from reaching the 70-point mark for the fourth time in nine seasons. Despite his recent scoreless streak, Aho is a must-start in all fantasy formats.

Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Posts multi-point night
Aho scored a goal, dished a power-play assist and took two shots on net in Saturday's 5-0 win over Philadelphia.
Aho lit the lamp for Saturday's opening goal before providing the main helper for Taylor Hall's power-play tally. Saturday was Aho's first multi-point performance since Feb. 8 and 16th multi-point outing of the season. The 27-year-old is up to 25 goals, 39 assists and 173 shots across 66 appearances this season. Carolina's superstar has been hot since the beginning of February with 13 points in his last 13 outings. Aho ranks 30th in the league in points and should provide high-level value in fantasy for the rest of the season. Look for him to contend for the 75-point mark for the fourth time in his career.

Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Stays hot with shortie
Aho scored a shorthanded goal in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Bruins.
Defensive miscues by Boston in its own end led to Carolina's first and last goals of the night, and Aho was the recipient of the first gift early in the first period. It was the 27-year-old center's fourth tally in the last five games, and over his last 14 appearances he's piled up 10 goals and 14 points. Aho sits one goal short of his seventh career 25-goal campaign.
