Andersson recorded a power-play assist, two shots on goal, three blocked shots and a minus-2 rating in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Canucks. Andersson snapped his three-game point drought with the secondary helper on Elias Lindholm's tally in the final minute. It's notable Andersson's assist came with the man advantage -- he was dropped from the Flames' power play altogether earlier in the week and saw just 23 seconds with the man advantage Saturday. As the team's top offensive blueliner, it's likely that change is temporary. Andersson has 12 points (three on the power play), 47 shots on net, 43 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 20 contests this season.... See More ... See Less

Flames' Rasmus Andersson: Pockets helper in win
Andersson notched an assist, two shots on goal and two PIM in Friday's 7-4 win over the Stars. Andersson hasn't gotten on the scoresheet in more than two consecutive games since returning from his suspension to end October, but he has eight points over his last 11 outings. The 27-year-old blueliner helped out on Blake Coleman's game-tying goal in the third period of Friday's win. Andersson is up to three goals, eight assists, 39 shots on net, 36 blocked shots, 17 PIM and a plus-1 rating through 16 appearances in a top-pairing role.... See More ... See Less -
Flames' Rasmus Andersson: Seals win in overtime
Andersson scored a goal on six shots, added two assists and blocked two shots in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Kraken. Andersson was lively, setting up Elias Lindholm and Jonathan Huberdeau's first-period markers. In overtime, Andersson was denied on a wraparound attempt but fired home the rebound to complete the Flames' comeback win. This was his first multi-point effort of the season, and he's earned six points over his last six outings. Andersson has three goals, 10 points, 37 shots on net, 34 blocks and a plus-3 rating through 14 contests.... See More ... See Less -

Andersson has collected three helpers and eight blocks over his last four contests. The 27-year-old blueliner is up to seven points, 31 shots, 28 blocks, 15 PIM and a plus-1 rating through 12 outings overall. The defenseman is at six points, 29 shots on net, 26 blocked shots, 15 PIM and a minus-1 rating through 11 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Flames' Rasmus Andersson: Registers assist
Andersson logged an assist, two shots on goal and four blocked shots in Friday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Maple Leafs. Andersson is up to five points, 25 shots on net, 24 blocked shots, 15 PIM and an even plus-minus rating through nine appearances in a top-pairing role.... See More ... See Less -
Flames' Rasmus Andersson: Deposits empty-netter
Andersson scored an empty-net goal on four shots in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Kraken. Andersson lifted a clearance that had just enough to get into the empty cage for the Flames' sixth goal. This was his first point since returning from a four-game suspensions for his charge on Patrik Laine. Andersson has been decently productive when in the lineup, earning two goals, two helpers, 20 shots on net, 16 blocked shots and 15 PIM through seven outings.... See More ... See Less -
Flames' Rasmus Andersson: Available to play Wednesday
Andersson has served his four-game suspension and will be eligible to play against Dallas on Wednesday. Prior to his ban, Andersson was averaging 23:39 of ice time, including 4:08 with the man advantage. With his suspension behind him, the blueliner should get back to eating up big minutes and rejoining that No. 1 power-play unit. Offensively, the Swede has recorded one goal, two assists and 13 shots in his five outings this year.... See More ... See Less -
Flames' Rasmus Andersson: Suspension upheld
Andersson's four-game suspension was upheld by NHL commissioner Gary Bettman on Tuesday. He had been appealing his punishment for charging Columbus' Patrik Laine (upper body) during Friday's contest. Andersson doesn't have the option to elevate his appeal to an independent arbitrator because his punishment is under six games. He already served one contest of his suspension while awaiting Bettman's ruling, so Andersson will be eligible to return for Calgary's match against Dallas on Nov. 1. The 26-year-old defenseman has a goal and three points in five contests while averaging 23:39 of ice time this season.... See More ... See Less -
Flames' Rasmus Andersson: Will appeal suspension
Andersson will appeal his four-game suspension for charging Columbus' Patrik Laine (upper body) Friday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet. Andersson's appeal will be heard by NHL commissioner Gary Bettman, who will have the final say on the matter. For an independent arbitrator to be involved in an appeal, the suspension needs to be at least six games. Andersson won't be eligible to play in Sunday's contest against Detroit.... See More ... Flames' Rasmus Andersson: Suspended for four games
Andersson was suspended four games Saturday for charging Columbus' Patrik Laine (upper body) in Friday's contest. Andersson's late and high hit will earn him a significant break from the Flames' lineup. The 26-year-old defenseman will be eligible to return Wednesday, Nov. 1 versus the Stars. Jordan Oesterle will likely enter the lineup in place of Andersson, while MacKenzie Weegar figures to pick up additional power-play time.... See More ... See Less -
Flames' Rasmus Andersson: Hearing scheduled for elbowing
Andersson will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Play Safety on Saturday after elbowing the Blue Jackets' Patrik Laine in the head Friday. Andersson was assessed a major penalty at the end of the third period for the elbow. Laine is currently day-to-day and will miss Saturday's tilt in Minnesota. The Flames do not play until Sunday, but don't expect to see Andersson in the lineup, as a suspension is looming.... See More ... See Less -

Through four contests, Andersson has a goal, two assists, a plus-4 rating, 11 shots on net and 10 blocked shots. He finished the last campaign with 11 goals and 49 points in 79 contests after recording 50 points in 2021-22. It wouldn't be surprising to see the 26-year-old put up similar offensive totals for the third straight season while quarterbacking the Flames' power play.... See More ... See Less -
