Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner: Done for the season
Jenner (back) will miss Columbus' last two games of the campaign, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports.
Jenner is evidently dealing with a back injury that will hold him out of the last two contests of the season. The 29-year-old winger will finish the campaign having collected 26 goals, 45 points and an unsightly minus-32 ranking through 68 appearances.

Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner: Late scratch Tuesday
Jenner (upper body) won't play Tuesday versus the Flyers.
Jenner took warmups but was listed among the scratches just before the contest. His status for Columbus' last two games -- Thursday versus the Penguins and Friday against the Sabres -- is to be determined.

Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner: Ties game in third
Jenner scored a goal on two shots in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over the Senators.
Jenner tied the game 14:11 into the third period, ripping a one-timer from the circle off a long rebound. The tally was Jenner's first in four games, as he's up to 26 goals and 45 points in 65 games this season. The 29-year-old forward could be a solid option down the stretch, as he's shown some chemistry with Johnny Gaudreau and Kirill Marchenko on Columbus' top line.

Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner: Two points including OT winner
Jenner scored the game-winning goal and added an assist, both on the power play, in Friday's 5-4 overtime victory over the Islanders.
Blue Jackets fans might end up remembering this goal as the one that cost them Connor Bedard, as the win moved the team ahead of the Sharks at the bottom of the NHL standings. Jenner is having a strong finish to the season regardless of what it means for the draft lottery though, and he's found the back of the net six times in the last seven games. On the season, the 29-year-old has 25 goals -- the second time in his career he's reached that mark -- and 43 points through 60 contests.

Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner: Ties game late
Jenner scored a goal on three shots in Tuesday's 7-6 overtime win over the Capitals.
Jenner tied the game 6-6 with just 47 seconds remaining in the third, putting a rebound into the back of an open net to force overtime. The goal is Jenner's fourth in his last five games. The 29-year-old forward is up to 24 goals and 41 points, eight shy of his career high, through 59 games this season.

Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner: Scores 23rd goal of 2022-23
Jenner found the back of the net in a 7-4 loss to Anaheim on Friday.
Jenner has excelled lately with four goals over his last four games, pushing him up to 23 goals and 40 points in 57 appearances in 2022-23. He's matched his 2021-22 total of 23 markers in 59 contests, but Jenner's still well behind his career high of 30, which was set in 2015-16. The 29-year-old is playing on the top line with Johnny Gaudreau and Patrik Laine.

Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner: Knocks in two goals
Jenner scored twice on six shots, blocked three shots and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 6-5 overtime win over the Sharks.
Jenner converted on a pair of passes from Johnny Gaudreau in the second period. This was Jenner's fifth multi-point effort in his last 14 games. The 29-year-old center is up to 22 tallies, 39 points, 183 shots on net, 105 hits, 63 blocked shots, 34 PIM and a minus-17 rating through 55 outings.

Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner: Two points including GWG
Jenner scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in Tuesday's 5-3 win over Buffalo.
He danced through the Sabres defense and tucked the puck under the bar behind Craig Anderson with just 18 seconds left in the second period, giving the Blue Jackets a 4-1 lead it turned out they would need after Buffalo stormed back in the third. Jenner has three multi-point performances in the last five games, and over the last 16 contests he's accumulated a tidy eight goals and 14 points. With Columbus having no better options for their No. 1 center role, Jenner should remain a key cog for the club down the stretch.

Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner: Two-point effort Saturday
Jenner scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Oilers.
He also led the Blue Jackets with 11 faceoff wins and added five shots, two hits, a blocked shot and a minus-1 rating to his ledger. Jenner has three multi-point performances in the last seven games, collecting four goals and eight points over that stretch, and while he's miscast as a No. 1 center on a young Columbus roster, the veteran has some fantasy appeal in that role.

Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner: Leads team in goals
Jenner scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Maple Leafs.
He had a game-high nine shots and also laid five hits in 23:49. Jenner was all over the ice Saturday. He's currently tied with Jack Roslovic for third in team scoring with 28 points (42 games). But he now leads the Jackets in goals with 15. That's a sad statement on the offensive abilities of the squad from Ohio, but they are in the hunt for Connor Bedard.

Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner: Picks up power-play assist
Jenner notched a power-play assist and two shots on goal in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Canucks.
Jenner set up the second of Kirill Marchenko's tallies in the contest. After scoring in the three previous contests, Jenner is on a four-game point streak. He's added 15 shots on net and eight hits in that span. The 29-year-old forward is up to 26 points (seven on the power play), 116 shots on net, 67 hits, 43 blocked shots and a minus-13 rating through 38 outings this season.

Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner: Tallies opening goal
Jenner scored a goal, logged three hits and blocked three shots in Wednesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Oilers.
Jenner has scored in three straight contests. The 29-year-old is up to 14 tallies, 25 points, 114 shots on net, 66 hits, 43 blocked shots and a minus-12 rating through 37 appearances this season. As long as he remains in a top-six role, he should have some appeal as an all-around producer in fantasy.

Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner: Scores equalizer Monday
Jenner scored a goal on seven shots, blocked two shots and added two PIM in Monday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Flames.
Jenner's third-period tally was what got the game to overtime. He's scored in back-to-back contests after coming up empty in his first four games back from a broken thumb. The 29-year-old center has 13 tallies, 11 assists, 113 shots on net, 63 hits, 40 blocked shots and a minus-13 rating through 36 appearances. He remains in the mix for the top-line job, though Jack Roslovic started Monday's game in that position while Jenner was on the second line.

Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner: Picks up first point since return
Jenner scored a goal on five shots and added three hits, a plus-2 rating and eight faceoff wins on 11 draws in Saturday's win over the Sharks.
It was Jenner's first point in five games since returning from surgery to repair a fractured thumb. His work at the faceoff dot in particular is a strong sign he's feeling 100 percent, and he showed some chemistry in the second half of the game on a line with Gustav Nyquist and rookie Kent Johnson, each of whom picked up an assist on Jenner's goal. It's a step down from centering Johnny Gaudreau and Patrik Laine at even strength, but Jenner's spot on the top power-play unit should give him a decent floor for fantasy value.

Jenner (thumb) will rejoin the Blue Jackets' lineup Saturday against the Red Wings, per Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers.
Jenner has missed 11 games since undergoing surgery on a broken thumb in mid-December. The 29-year-old center had 11 goals and 11 assists in 30 games this season while adding 54 hits and 34 blocked shots. Jenner should return to a top-line role in Columbus.

Jenner (broken thumb) returned to practice Friday, Brian Hedger of The Columbus Dispatch reports.
Jenner suffered the injury Dec. 17 against the Bruins and has missed the last 11 games. He required surgery and was expected to miss four weeks, which would make his return to action as early as Monday against the Rangers. Jenner has 11 goals and 22 points in 30 games this season as the Blue Jackets' top center.

Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner: Undergoing thumb surgery
Jenner will undergo surgery Tuesday to repair a fractured thumb. He is expected to miss about four weeks and has been placed on injured reserve.
Columbus has brought up Josh Dunne from AHL Cleveland in a corresponding move. Kent Johnson is slated to play between Johnny Gaudreau and Patrik Laine on Monday against Dallas. Jenner has registered 11 goals, 11 assists, 93 shots on net, 34 blocks and 54 hits in 30 games this season.

Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner: Ice time on rise
Jenner's ice time has increased as the Blue Jackets struggle to find reliable alternatives at center, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports.
The 29-year-old has topped 20 minutes in seven of Columbus' last nine games, and his average TOI on the season has crept above 20:00 as a result. Jenner averaged a career-high 20:27 last season before suffering a back injury that ended his campaign in early March, so the Jackets are understandably keeping an eye on his workload. "It's hard, and I've really pulled him back on the penalty kill," coach Brad Larsen said Friday. "But then faceoffs come into it. If Kurls (Sean Kuraly) has just had a shift and I need a faceoff guy, maybe (Jenner) gets stuck out there. There are these moments that happen and I go, 'I gotta use him. I gotta use him. I gotta use him.' You're trying to win hockey games." Early-season slumps from Jack Roslovic and Cole Sillinger have exacerbated the issue, but Roslovic appears to be waking up while skating on a line with Patrik Laine, and his emergence could take some pressure off Jenner. The extra responsibility hasn't hurt Jenner's fantasy production, though -- since the beginning of November, he's racked up nine goals and 17 points in 17 games.

Jenner's marker came at 9:28 of the first period and put Columbus ahead 2-0. It was his 10th goal and 21st point in 27 contests this season. The 29-year-old center has provided at least a point in six of his last seven games.

Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner: Gets two helpers vs. Detroit
Jenner registered two assists in Sunday's 4-2 loss to Detroit.
Jenner has a goal and four points in his last three games, which brings him up to nine markers and 18 points in 23 contests. He got off to a cold start in 2022-23 with a goal and four points in his first 10 games, but ever since then Jenner has been a fairly reliable offensive contributor.
