Palmieri scored a goal in Sunday's 6-1 win over the Ducks. Palmieri's tally at 7:28 of the first period ended up being the game-winning goal. The 33-year-old winger has surged with five goals and two assists over his last five outings, providing solid offense from the second line in that span. Palmieri's up to 20 goals, 39 points, 159 shots on net, 64 hits and a minus-13 rating through 63 appearances this season.... See More ... See Less

Islanders' Kyle Palmieri: Explodes for four points
Palmieri scored three goals and added a helper in Saturday's 5-1 victory over the Bruins. What a start to the game for Palmieri. He scored his third NHL hat trick in the first period and then added an assist on the Islanders' fourth goal of the contest in the second period. In addition to his four-point night, Palmieri added three shots and a plus-3 rating in only 15:27 of ice time. He has been a streaky player this season. He went five straight games without hitting the scoresheet before getting five points in his past two outings. He also had a six-game point spree prior to that slump. While Palmieri's performance is encouraging, it's important to manage expectations as he has not topped 50 points in a season since 2018-19.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Kyle Palmieri: Adds assist in win
Palmieri recorded an assist in Monday's 3-2 win over the Maple Leafs. Palmieri has gotten on the scoresheet in four of his last six outings, racking up three goals and three helpers in that span. The winger has not been the star of the show for the Islanders, but he's played a steady second-line role throughout the season. He's up to 29 points, 123 shots on net, 40 hits and a minus-14 rating through 50 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Kyle Palmieri: Two PP points not enough Thursday
Palmieri notched a goal and an assist, both on the power play, in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Canadiens. The 32-year-old winger also fired a game-high 11 shots on net. Palmieri has had trouble providing consistent offense since Christmas, getting held off the scoresheet entirely in 11 of the last 15 games and producing just three goals and six assists over that stretch with 47 shots on net but a minus-8 rating. He is trying to find other ways to contribute, however -- Palmieri hasn't racked up triple-digit hits over a full season since 2016-17, but he's laid multiple hits in five straight games.... Islanders' Kyle Palmieri: Records two-point night in OT loss
Palmieri scored a goal while adding an assist in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss against the Blackhawks. Palmieri finished with a plus-1 rating, five shots on goal and two hits in 18:54 of ice time while also winning his only two faceoff opportunities. His goal at 12:50 of the third period leveled the scoring at 3-3 to force OT, but the team eventually lost in the extra session. It was his first two-point game since Dec. 23 against the Hurricanes in Raleigh.... See More ... See Less -

Islanders' Kyle Palmieri: Bends twine in win
Palmieri scored a power-play goal on three shots versus the Blue Jackets on Thursday. Palmieri started November with an eight-game goal drought but has now found the back of the net in four of his last nine outings, including three times with the man advantage. Every one of those tallies has come when the New York native has recorded three or more shots on goal.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Kyle Palmieri: Supplies power-play goal
Palmieri contributed a power-play goal in the Islanders' 5-4 overtime win over Carolina on Thursday. Special teams have been key to Palmieri's value this season. Of his 13 points (six goals) through 22 games, seven of them have come with the man advantage. In terms of power-play points, he's already surpassed his 2022-23 finish of five and has his most since 2019-20 when he recorded 11 goals and 18 points with the man advantage as a member of the Devils. Palmieri is presently on the Islanders' first power-play unit and his production might take a meaningful hit should he ever lose that role.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Kyle Palmieri: Good for two points Friday
Palmieri scored a goal with an assist in Friday's 5-3 road win against the Senators. Palmieri was good for three shots on goal in 15:16 of ice time across 21 shifts. The right winger has posted two goals and two assists over his past four outings after a six-game scoreless skid. The multi-point showing was his first since he notched two assists Oct. 20 against the Devils. He'll look to carry over the momentum into Saturday's game against the Flyers.... See More ... Palmieri scored a goal on three shots and added two PIM in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Blue Jackets. Palmieri's tally late in the first period stood as the game-winner. The winger has two goals and one assist during his three-game point streak, and he's been held off the scoresheet just once this season. He's up to three tallies, seven points, 18 shots on net, seven hits, four PIM and a plus-1 rating through seven appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Kyle Palmieri: Helps out twice in overtime loss
Palmieri picked up two assists in Friday's 5-4 overtime loss against the Devils. Palmieri had the secondary helper on the opening goal of the game by Brock Nelson midway through the first period, and he was good for the only helper on Nelson's goal early in the second. Palmieri isn't traditionally a major scorer, but his four points through three games and heavy power play minutes early in the season might bear a look. He finished with a plus-3 rating, three shots on goal and a hit in 17:36 of ice time Friday. He and his teammates are back at it Saturday in Buffalo.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Kyle Palmieri: Nets goal vs. Buffalo
Palmieri scored a goal in a 3-2 victory over Buffalo on Saturday. Palmieri had 16 goals and 33 points in 55 contests with the Islanders last season. He's likely to serve in a top-six role and get plenty of power-play ice time in 2023-24, but even under those circumstances, Palmieri isn't likely to be more than a moderate offensive contributor. He recorded 87 points in 175 outings over the past three campaigns despite averaging a healthy 16:21 of ice time over that span.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Kyle Palmieri: Playing in preseason finale
Palmieri (undisclosed) took the ice for warmups and is expected to play in Friday's game versus the Devils, Stefen Rosner of The Hockey News reports. Palmieri hasn't played in the preseason yet, but he'll get one tuneup before the Islanders begin the regular season a week from Saturday. The 32-year-old winger figures to be a middle-six fixture for the team in 2023-24. He had 33 points in 55 contests last season.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Kyle Palmieri: Returns to practice
Palmieri (undisclosed) took part in Wednesday's practice, per Andrew Gross of Newsday. Palmieri, who hasn't drawn into a preseason game yet this year, skated alongside Pierre Engvall and Brock Nelson during Wednesday's practice. Islanders coach Lane Lambert told Gross after the practice that he doesn't "think it's that long of a window" before Palmieri returns, but Lambert wouldn't reveal if the 32-year-old forward is likely to play in either of the Islanders' final two exhibition contests. New York will face Philadelphia on Thursday and New Jersey on Friday.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Kyle Palmieri: Will miss first two preseason games
Palmieri (undisclosed) won't be re-evaluated until after the Islanders' preseason games Tuesday against the Rangers and Wednesday versus Philadelphia, coach Lane Lambert told Andrew Gross of Newsday on Saturday. There is no timetable for Palmieri's return, but it seems he won't get into a preseason contest until Friday versus the Rangers at the earliest. Palmieri recorded 16 goals and 33 points in 55 appearances last season.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Kyle Palmieri: Doesn't practice Friday
Palmieri (undisclosed) didn't take part in Friday's practice, per Andrew Gross of Newsday. Palmieri has been skating on his own, but it's not clear when he'll practice with the Islanders. He had 16 goals and 33 points in 55 outings in 2022-23. Provided he's healthy, Palmieri is projected to open the season in a top-six capacity.... See More ... See Less -

Both points came in the third period as the Isles broke open a 1-1 tie and set a record for the fastest four goals in playoff history. Palmieri now has back-to-back two-point efforts, giving him significant momentum heading into Game 4 on Sunday as his team looks to even the series.... See More ... See Less -

Palmieri contributed a goal and an assist in the Islanders' 4-3 overtime loss to Carolina in Game 2 on Wednesday. Palmieri bounced back after he was held off the scoresheet in the Islanders' 2-1 loss to Carolina in Game 1 on Monday. During the regular season, he had 16 goals and 33 points in 55 contests. The 37-year-old was a solid secondary scorer during the Islanders' 2021 playoff run, providing seven goals and nine points in 19 outings, and he should serve a similar function this time around.... Islanders' Kyle Palmieri: Leads Islanders to victory Monday
Palmieri netted two goals and recorded an assist in the Islanders' 5-1 victory over New Jersey on Monday. It was Palmieri's third multi-point game in the span of six contests. That's pushed him up to 15 goals and 31 points in 48 games this season. Palmieri was vital to Monday's victory, providing the primary assist on Pierre Engvall's first-period marker, and then scoring the Islanders' next two goals. The only tallies Palmieri wasn't involved in were New York's two empty-netters.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Kyle Palmieri: Nets go-ahead goal
