Chiefs' Isiah Pacheco: Not expected to land on IR
Pacheco, who is out Sunday against the Bills, is believed to be dealing with a shoulder contusion, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Per Rapoport, Pacheco's injury is not considered a long-term issue and the running back isn't expected to land on IR. In his absence versus Buffalo, Clyde Edwards-Helaire is in line to start Sunday, with Jerick McKinnon also slated to see his share work in Kansas City's Week 14 backfield.

Chiefs' Isiah Pacheco: Not seen at Friday's practice
Pacheco (shoulder) wasn't spotted at practice Friday, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports.
Pacheco didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, so his apparent absence from Friday's session doesn't bode well for his chances of suiting up Sunday against the Bills. Kansas City will release its final Week 14 injury report later Friday, and if Pacheco is ruled out for the contest, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com suggests that Clyde Edwards-Helaire would be in line to serve as the Chiefs' lead option on the ground, with Jerick McKinnon (groin) operating as the team's passing-down back.

Chiefs' Isiah Pacheco: Out this week
Pacheco (shoulder) won't play Sunday against the Bills, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
According to Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com, Pacheco is dealing with a bruise to the same shoulder that he underwent surgery on shortly after the Super Bowl this past season. Though the Chiefs are ruling Pacheco out only for Week 14 at this time, Reid was non-committal regarding whether the injury will be anything that will force the running back to injured reserve, per Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com. Reid told Charles Goldman of AtoZSports.com that Clyde Edwards-Helaire will be the "No. 1 guy" out of the backfield Sunday, though Jerick McKinnon will likely handle most of the passing-down work while occasionally spelling Edwards-Helaire for carries.

Chiefs' Isiah Pacheco: Missing another practice
Pacheco (shoulder) won't practice Thursday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
Pacheco didn't practice Wednesday, either, so what the running back is able to do during Friday's practice -- if anything -- will loom large with regard to his chances of playing Sunday against the Bills. If Pacheco is sidelined this weekend, Jerick McKinnon (groin) and Clyde Edwards-Helaire would likely split work out of the backfield.

Chiefs' Isiah Pacheco: Bothered by shoulder contusion
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said Pacheco will be held out Wednesday's practice due to a shoulder contusion, Sports Radio 810 WHB Kansas City reports.
Pacheco's injury doesn't sound like one that typically causes players to miss games, but fantasy managers should nonetheless track his practice participation throughout the week. He took on a larger role on passing downs with Jerick McKinnon (groin) out the past two games, though Pacheco's final snap share (70 percent) in a loss to the Packers this past Sunday was affected by a fourth-quarter ejection for throwing a punch. He still finished with his second-largest snap share of the season -- behind the 78 percent share he handled in a Week 12 win over Las Vegas -- and he ended with 21 touches for 123 yards and a touchdowns. Pacheco could cede some work on passing downs if McKinnon is back for this Sunday's game against the Bills, but the game's projected high scoring total makes Pacheco a solid option in fantasy lineup this week, assuming he's able to overcome his shoulder issue.
