Packers' Rico Gafford: Signs with Green Bay
The Packers signed Gafford to a reserve/future contract Wednesday.
Gafford spent the 2021 campaign on the Broncos' practice squad and was elevated to the active roster in Week 17, but he was a healthy inactive for that contest. After spending his first four professional seasons with the Raiders and Broncos, he'll now attempt to carve out a role in Green Bay.

Broncos' Rico Gafford: Elevated for Sunday
Gafford was elevated to the Broncos' active roster from the practice squad Saturday for Sunday's game against the Chargers.
Gafford joined Denver's practice squad in mid-September and will make his way to the active roster for the first time in 2021. He has two receptions for 66 yards and a touchdown in eight games since going undrafted out of Wyoming in 2018.

Gafford spent time with the Cardinals and Bills during camp but failed to land a spot on a 53-man roster to begin the year. He'll attempt to carve out a role with Denver's practice squad after Kendall Hinton was elevated to the active roster Tuesday.

Gafford joined the Cardinals on a reserve/future contract after the 2020 campaign. Regardless of whether he tested positive for the virus, the 25-year-old will need to clear the health and safety protocols before rejoining the team for workouts.
