  • Giants' Younghoe Koo: Kicking for Giants in Week 10

Koo will kick for the Giants against the Bears on Sunday in the absence of Graham Gano (neck), Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports.

Koo will be elevated from the practice squad prior to Sunday's game. He was released by the Falcons after missing one of his three field-goal attempts in Week 1. Koo has a career field-goal percentage of 85.8 percent, but he converted at a 73.5 percent rate in 2024.

  • Younghoe Koo: Competing for starting role

Koo will compete with Jude McAtamney for the Giants' top place kicker spot ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Chargers, Evan Barnes of Newsday reports.

Though head coach Brian Daboll hasn't officially ruled out Graham Gano (groin) in Week 4, Gano is expected to be placed on injured reserve in the coming days. Thus, Koo will have the opportunity to compete for New York's top kicker position after being released by the Falcons on Sept. 19. The Georgia Southern product converted on 25 of his 34 field-goal tries and all 26 of his extra-point attempts in 2024 with Atlanta.

  • Younghoe Koo: Signed to Giants' practice squad

The Giants signed Koo to the practice squad Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Koo was released by the Falcons on Friday after going 2-for-3 in Week 1 against the Buccaneers before not playing Week 2 against the Vikings. He'll get another opportunity with the Giants and could be elevated to the active roster for Sunday's game against the Chargers if Graham Gano (groin) is unable to play.

  • Younghoe Koo: Cut loose by Atlanta

The Falcons released Koo on Friday, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

After opening his career with a 3-for-6 showing on field-goal attempts in a four-game stint with the Chargers in 2017, Koo resurfaced with the Falcons in 2019 and had been the team's trusted kicker in the meantime until Week 1 of this season, when he missed a potential game-winning 44-yarder against the Buccaneers. Atlanta then signed Parker Romo to the practice squad and elevated him ahead of this past Sunday's game at Minnesota, while Koo didn't travel with the team. Romo connected on all five FGAs and his only point-after try Week 2, and the performance was enough for the Falcons to decide to move on from Koo and roll with Romo moving forward.
