Panthers' David Moore: Gets chance in Carolina
Moore has signed a one-year contract with the Panthers, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Moore spent the 2021 offseason with Carolina but never played a game for the team, getting released at final roster cuts and landing on the Broncos' practice squad. Most recently, he played for the Buccaneers during the 2023 campaign and accumulated 94 yards and one touchdown while catching five of seven targets across seven games. The 29-year-old doesn't have any more job security than he did the last time he was with the Panthers, as the team has already added Diontae Johnson to a receiving corps that features Adam Thielen, Jonathan Mingo (foot) and Terrace Marshall.

Buccaneers' David Moore: Limited to one catch Sunday
Moore brought in his only target for 11 yards in the Buccaneers' 31-23 divisional-round loss to the Lions on Sunday.
Moore couldn't quite replicate his showing from Tampa Bay's wild-card win over the Eagles, when he posted two receptions for 66 yards and a touchdown. The veteran was mostly an afterthought this season after spending a sizable chunk of the campaign on the practice squad, and the five receptions for 94 yards and a touchdown he produced across seven regular-season appearances were his first stats from scrimmage since the 2020 season. Moore is slated to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason and could potentially return on a team-friendly deal if he finds a lack of interest in his services on the open market.

Buccaneers' David Moore: Shines in wild-card win Monday
Moore secured two of three targets for 66 yards and a touchdown in the Buccaneers 32-9 wild-card win over the Eagles on Monday night.
The veteran was one of two Buccaneers to parlay some impressive run-after-catch prowess into a score, outrunning multiple defenders to the end zone on a 44-yard touchdown grab late in the first quarter. Moore had a nice chunk gain on his other reception as well, and the Lions may have to devote some attention to him in Sunday's divisional-round clash at Ford Field.

Buccaneers' David Moore: Quiet in season finale
Moore brought in his only target for eight yards in the Buccaneers' 9-0 win over the Panthers on Sunday.
Moore played his usual deep reserve role, logging only one more snap from scrimmage (17) than he did for special teams (16). Moore flashed with a 2-68-1 line in Week 15, but he didn't appear in a regular-season contest until Week 12 and wrapped up the campaign with five receptions for 94 yards and a touchdown on seven targets over seven games. Moore does have postseason experience from his days with the Seahawks early in his career, but he'll likely remain slotted into the No. 4 receiver role during Tampa Bay's wild-card matchup against the Eagles on Monday night.

Buccaneers' David Moore: Disappointing after Week 15 surge
Moore secured his only target for seven yards in the Buccaneers' 30-12 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.
Moore encouragingly saw an uptick in snaps from scrimmage to a season-high 22, but he still was minimally involved from a target perspective. The 28-year-old does have the type of track record to suggest he could see his numbers improve on any given week, but he'll remain a complementary option for the Buccaneers if Mike Evans and Chris Godwin remain in good health for the final two games of the campaign.

Moore brought in both targets for 68 yards and a touchdown in the Buccaneers' 34-20 win over the Packers on Sunday.
The veteran journeyman recorded his first touchdown since 2020 on a nifty 52-yard catch and run in the fourth quarter that sealed the game for the Buccaneers. Moore was added to the active roster earlier in the week after the team used up his three practice-squad elevations, and given the knack for the end zone he displayed early in his career with the Seahawks, the seven-year pro could be a surprise contributor down the stretch if he sees enough snaps.

Buccaneers' David Moore: Headed for active roster
Moore was signed to the Buccaneers' 53-man roster from their practice squad Wednesday, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.
Moore was running out of practice squad elevation opportunities after being promoted for Tampa Bay's last three games. The 28-year-old has one catch for 11 yards on two targets with 32 offensive snaps in that span. He should operate as the team's No. 4 or 5 option at wide receiver in the final weeks of the season.

Moore was elevated for the third straight game and managed to haul in his lone target for 11 yards while playing a season-high 25 snaps (14 on offense, 11 on special teams). Because this was the third time the Bucs called Moore up from the Moore has now been elevated the maximum three times, the team will have to sign the 2017 seventh-round pick to the active roster if they wish to utilize him again during the 2023 campaign.
