  • Cardinals' Marquise Brown: Likely to play Week 13

Brown (heel) is expected to be available versus Pittsburgh on Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Brown has been dealing with a heel injury, which kept him sidelined for all three of Arizona's practices during Week 13 prep. He was also a non-participant in two of the team's three practices last week, but he was still able to suit up for Week 12 loss to the Rams. It looks like he should be in line for a similar trajectory ahead of this Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff against the Steelers. Over the first 12 games of the season, Brown recorded 51 receptions (on 98 targets) for 574 yards and four touchdowns.

  • Cardinals' Marquise Brown: Status in question for Week 13

Brown (heel) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Pittsburgh, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

Brown didn't practice during Week 13 prep due to a heel injury, but coach Jonathan Gannon told Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com on Friday that the wide receiver was "trending in the right direction" for Sunday. With Kyler Murray back in action the last three games, Brown has compiled a poor 9-134-0 line on 21 targets, but he is coming off a six-catch, 88-yard performance on 12 targets this past Sunday against the Rams. Assuming he's able to suit up this weekend, Brown will be taking on a Steelers defense that has given up the eighth-most yards per target (8.6) to opposing wide receivers on the campaign.

  • Cardinals' Marquise Brown: Trending up for Sunday

Coach Jonathan Gannon said Friday morning that Brown (heel) is "trending in the right direction" ahead of Sunday's game in Pittsburgh, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.

Gannon said an upcoming bye Week 14 won't impact the inactive/active decision for TE Trey McBride (groin), so that's probably also the case for Brown, who played through the same injury last week and caught six of 12 targets for 88 yards in a 37-14 loss to the Rams. Brown didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday but seemingly still has a chance to suit up Sunday.

  • Cardinals' Marquise Brown: DNP on Thursday

Brown (heel) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Brown was able to play through a heel injury this past Sunday against the Rams, but he also hasn't practiced since last Wednesday. Perhaps Brown doesn't need to get any on-field work in order to be available for game day, but he now has just one more opportunity to practice before the Cardinals potentially tag him with a designation for Sunday's contest in Pittsburgh.

  • Cardinals' Marquise Brown: Doesn't practice Wednesday

Brown (heel) didn't take part in practice Wednesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Brown managed just one limited practice last week due to a heel injury, but despite receiving a questionable tag for this past Sunday's game against the Rams, he was able to suit up and turned in a season-high 12 targets into six catches for 88 yards. He'll have two more chances to mix into the drills as the week goes on before the Cardinals potentially make a similar ruling on his potential to play Sunday in Pittsburgh.

  • Cardinals' Marquise Brown: Team-high yardage total in loss

Brown secured six of 12 targets for 88 yards in the Cardinals' 37-14 loss to the Rams on Sunday.

Brown didn't show any ill effects from the heel injury that had him listed as questionable coming into the contest, leading the Cardinals in receiving yards and targets on the afternoon. The performance was Brown's first productive one in the three games Kyler Murray has been under center, perhaps a harbinger of better chemistry down the stretch for the talented duo. Brown and the Cardinals travel to face the Steelers in a Week 13 interconference battle.

  • Cardinals' Marquise Brown: Suiting up in Week 12

Brown (heel) is listed as active Sunday against the Rams, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Brown opened Week 12 prep as limited due to a toe injury before sitting out Thursday and Friday. After the second absence, coach Jonathan Gannon called it a "precautionary" measure, and then Adam Schefter of ESPN reported early Sunday morning that Brown was in line to play through the issue. With Brown's availability confirmed, he'll be taking on an L.A. defense that has allowed a shade under 10 yards per target (9.96, to be exact) to opposing wide receivers over the last four games.
