Bryan Edwards: Cut by New Orleans
The Saints waived Edwards on Tuesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Edwards ran 40 routes for the Saints through two preseason games, but he caught just three of nine targets for 37 scoreless yards. He was held without a catch on four targets against the Chargers on Sunday night. Edwards spent parts of 2022 with the Falcons and Chiefs, and will now look for his fifth NFL team.

Saints' Bryan Edwards: Fails to deliver again in preseason
Edward did not catch any of his four targets during Sunday's 22-17 preseason win versus the Chargers.
Edwards played the second-most offensive snaps of any Saints wideout other than undrafted rookie Jontre Kirklin. However, the 2020 third-round pick wasn't able to deliver on any of his four targets -- all of which came during the second half when New Orleans' third-team offense was on the field. He also committed two offensive pass interference penalties on one offensive series, thus nullifying two would-be touchdown passes from rookie quarterback Jake Haener. With just one preseason contest remaining, Edwards' opportunities to secure a spot on the Saints' final 53-man roster are running out rather quickly.

Saints' Bryan Edwards: Doesn't impress in preseason opener
According to Jeff Duncan of NOLA.com, Edwards did not improve his chances to make the Saints' final 53-man roster during Sunday's 26-24 preseason win against Kansas City.
Edwards played the most snaps of any Saints wideout in Sunday's contest (34), catching three of his five targets for 37 yards. The 24-year-old ultimately played all of his snaps during the second half as part of the New Orleans' third-string offense piloted by rookie quarterback Jake Haener. The release of James Washington on Tuesday should help Edwards' chances of making the final 53-man roster, but he'll likely have to make some more standout plays this preseason if he wants to secure a spot ahead of Keith Kirkwood, Lynn Bowden, Kawaan Baker and others in New Orleans' wide receiver corps.

Saints' Bryan Edwards: Reunites with Carr in New Orleans
Edwards agreed to a contract with the Saints on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Edwards opened 2022 with the Falcons and appeared in seven games for the team, but he caught just three passes for 15 yards before getting cut in November. The 24-year-old spent the next several weeks on the Chiefs' practice squad before being let go from Kansas City as the playoffs started. In New Orleans, Edwards links back up with former teammate Derek Carr. Edwards will try to carve out a depth role this summer.

Bryan Edwards: Let go by Kansas City
The Chiefs cut Edwards from their practice squad Wednesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Edwards started the campaign with the Falcons but struggled to find a role and eventually landed a practice-squad deal with the Chiefs at the end of November. He was never elevated to Kansas City's active roster and will now be a free agent heading into the final week of the regular season. The 2020 third-round pick caught 34 of 59 passes for 571 yards and three touchdowns across 16 appearances with the Raiders in 2021, but his time in the NFL may be limited after a tumultuous 2022 campaign.
