Moseley (knee) did not participate at practice Wednesday, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Moseley already missed the first two games of the season, and his absence from practice Wednesday is not a good indication for his potential availability in Week 3. He'll have two more shots to practice before Detroit's last injury report of the week comes out Friday.

Lions' Emmanuel Moseley: Sidelined again for Week 2
Moseley (knee/hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's Week 2 game against the Seahawks.
Moseley missed the entirety of training camp while recovering from ACL surgery and is now dealing with a hamstring strain on top of it. With Moseley out again, Cam Sutton and Jerry Jacobs will line up as Detroit's top two cornerbacks in a date with DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

Lions' Emmanuel Moseley: Remains sidelined
Moseley (knee/hamstring) was listed as a non-participant on the Lions' estimated practice report Wednesday.
Moseley missed all of camp as he continued to recover from a torn ACL, and despite avoiding the reserve/PUP list to start the season, it appears the Tennessee product is still not 100 percent. The mention of a hamstring injury in the report is also new. The 27-year-old's status for Sunday against the Seahawks is certainly in question, and if he's unable to play, Jerry Jacobs will be in line to get the start opposite Cam Sutton once again.

Lions' Emmanuel Moseley: Out for Thursday
Moseley (knee) won't play Week 1 at Kansas City.
He was the only player on Detroit's injury report Wednesday, and it's not too surprising considering he's recovering from an ACL tear he sustained just a season ago. Until Moseley can play again, one of Will Harris, Steven Gilmore or Khalil Dorsey will probably be asked to step up in his place.

Moseley is still working his way back from an ACL tear he suffered in October 2022, and he seems to be progressing well ahead of Thursday's game at Kansas City. Whether he'll be available in Week 1 is still up in the air, though, and if he has to sit out, it'll be interesting to see who among Will Harris, Steven Gilmore and Khalil Dorsey is active.

Lions' Emmanuel Moseley: Set for practice work this week
Moseley (knee) is progressing well ahead of the 2023 season, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Moseley is still working his way back from the ACL injury he suffered in October, but head coach Dan Campbell said Friday that he "will get some practice work this week" and that he's got "a chance to catch up pretty fast". It's unclear if the cornerback will be ready to go for the season opener Thursday versus the Chiefs, but regardless, Moseley appears to be trending in the right direction.

Lions' Emmanuel Moseley: Activated from PUP list
The Lions activated Moseley (knee) from the active/PUP list Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
While Tuesday's move will make Moseley eligible to suit up for the start of the regular season, it's not yet clear whether he'll be cleared to play for the Lions' regular-season opener against Kansas City on Sept. 7. Once he's healthy, the 27-year-old expects to have a prominent role in Detroit's secondary.

Lions' Emmanuel Moseley: Could miss start of season
Moseley (knee) is still without a timetable to return this season, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Moseley reported to camp late after undergoing a clean-up procedure on his knee and remains on the team's active/PUP list. He was originally expected to be ready Week 1 and took part in walkthrough drills during minicamp. However, the 27-year-old doesn't want to comment on what caused his setback, stating, "I don't want to go deeper into kind of what happened or whatever, but just know right now I'm feeling pretty good." When asked if he might be ready by the season opener, he added, "I'm not going to throw no numbers out there or a timeline, but if you see me out, just know I'll be very excited." Moseley is expected to play a key role in the Lions secondary this season, but he'll need to get healthy first, and it still remains unclear when that will be.

Lions' Emmanuel Moseley: Goes to PUP
Moseley (knee) was placed on Detroit's active/PUP list Wednesday, Kyle Meinke of Michigan Live reports.
Moseley has had a long summer of recovery after tearing his ACL during Week 5 of last season. The veteran cornerback signed a two-year, $9.4 million contract with the Lions this offseason, coming over from San Francisco. Over the past two years, Moseley has started every game he has appeared in for the 49ers (16) and recorded 64 tackles, 16 pass breakups and two interceptions. Ahead of the coming season, expect the 27-year-old to slide into a starting spot in Detroit's secondary after he's recovered.

Lions' Emmanuel Moseley: Not present at start of camp
Head coach Dan Campbell told reporters Sunday that Moseley (knee) is not at the beginning of training camp for medical reasons and will start on the active/PUP when he arrives, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Moseley tore his ACL in Week 5 last season with the 49ers and underwent season-ending surgery in October. He signed a one-year, $6 million contract with the Lions in March and is expected to start at corner alongside Cameron Sutton and C.J. Gardner-Johnson.
