The Vikings elected not to tender Price a contract for 2019, making him an unrestricted free agent, Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Price sat out the entire 2018 campaign after sustaining a knee injury during the preseason. Since going undrafted out of Michigan State in 2017, the tight end has yet to make his NFL debut.

Vikings' Josiah Price: Lands on IR
Price (knee) cleared waivers Tuesday and was placed on injured reserve, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Price has a season-ending injury, so he'll remain on IR unless an injury settlement is reached. The 25-year-old's absence may affect the Vikings depth for the final two preseason games, but he wasn't expected to make the 53-man roster.

The Vikings released Price (knee) with a waived/injured designation Monday, Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Price was carted off the practice field last week and was later deemed out for the season. If he clears waivers, Price will revert to the Vikings' injured reserve, where he'll stay for the 2018 season unless an injury settlement is reached. The fantasy effects of this injury are negligible, as he was a long shot to make the squad anyway.

Price was carted off from Vikings practice with a right knee injury Wednesday. Though the specifics are unclear, he'll likely move to IR in the near future, where he'll spend the remainder of the 2018 campaign.
