Nunez-Roches (groin) tallied one tackle in a preseason loss to the Jets on Saturday.
Nunez-Roches made just a brief appearance with 10 snaps, but his presence on the field was significant since he sat out the Giants' first two exhibition games. It appears that the veteran nose tackle will be ready to go for New York's regular-season opener Sept. 10 against Dallas. He's expected to play a rotational role along the team's defensive line.

Nunez-Roches (groin) sat out Tuesday's practice, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
Nunez-Roches, who dealt with a concussion earlier in training camp, is sidelined once again by a different injury. The veteran defensive lineman had stints with Kansas City and Tampa Bay before signing a three-year deal with New York this offseason. Once the 30-year-old returns to action, expect him to work as a rotational player for the Giants' defense ahead of the coming season.

Nunez-Roches (concussion) worked with the the first-team defense in practice Monday, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Nunez-Roches was involved in a car accident near the Giants' practice facility last Tuesday and was subsequently placed in concussion protocol. He returned to practice in a non-contact capacity Sunday and was then cleared to practice in full Monday. Nunez-Roches is expected to play a rotational role for New York this season after joining the organization on a three-year contract in March.

Head coach Brian Daboll told reporters Sunday that Nunez-Roches (concussion) will be at practice in a non-contact jersey, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Nunez-Roches was involved in a car accident Tuesday but escaped serious injury. He will return as a full participant once he clears concussion protocols. Nunez-Roches signed a three-year, $12 million contract with the Giants in March after registering 33 tackles and two sacks in 17 games for the Buccaneers last season.

Giants' Rakeem Nunez-Roches: Heading to New York
Nunez-Roches is in line to ink a three-year deal with the Giants, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.
Nunez-Roches has been in the league eight years, including the last five with the Buccaneers. He posted 33 tackles and two sacks last season, which were career highs. The 29-year-old defensive tackle is expected to play rotational snaps behind Dexter Lawrence. Unless he's needed to fill in should Lawrence miss time, Nunez-Roches will be a low-ceiling IDP option.

Nunez-Roches tallied four tackles (three solo), including one sack, during the Buccaneers' 23-17 overtime loss to the Browns in Week 12.
The veteran defensive tackle established a new career high in tackles with Sunday's tally, which put him at 22 stops for the season. Nunez-Roches now also has a career-best two sacks in 2022, and he continues to put together reasonably productive efforts in his rotational role.
