In a QB battle that appears to be even after a week of training camp, the Titans Matt Hasselbeck and Jake Locker nearly produced identical numbers Sunday.
Hasselbeck was 10 of 16 with an INT, while Locker was 11 of 17 with no TDs or INTs. Hasselbeck's INT came on a fluke play when CB Chris Hawkins tipped a pass intended for WR Marc Mariani that was picked off by S Al Afalava.
Hasselbeck fumbled two snaps, including one from C Chris Morris -- a fifth-year veteran who signed with the Titans on Saturday. Hasselbeck also barely overthrew WR Kendall Wright on a fly route down the left sideline against CB Tommie Campbell.
Locker's best throw of the day may have come on a completion to WR Damian Williams along the right sideline. Locker was flushed from the pocket by DE Kamerion Wimbley and threw a side-armed pass on the run. The Titans first-round pick in 2011 also barely missed TE Jared Cook on a deep route down the middle.
11-on-11 Drills -- Hasselbeck: 10 of 16, 0 TD, 1 INT; Locker: 11 of 17, 0 TD, 0 INT.
Day 8 Advantage - Even
Training Camp totals - Hasselbeck: 89 of 121, 4 TD, 5 INT; Locker: 92 of 141, 2 TDs, 3 INTs.
Training Camp Advantage – Even
