If you were looking for the "Thursday Night Football" game on Twitter last week and couldn't find it, no worries. The NFL is back on Twitter on Thursday after not streaming last week's game. The Cardinals-49ers game, which kicks off at 8:25 p.m. ET, will be the third game streamed live on the social media platform this season.

The game can be also watched live on CBS and the NFL Network.

How to watch

The game (a quick preview)

In case you haven't heard, the Cardinals will be without their starting quaterback tonight. Carson Palmer, who entered the week in concussion protocol, is out.

And now it's up to backup quarterback Drew Stanton to help keep Arizona from a 1-4 start. And Stanton is certainly capable of winning some games. He went 5-3 in 2014 when Palmer was sidelined with a torn ACL.

The Cardinals have made other changes in their offensive backfield. Andre Ellington is now the No. 2 running back after Chris Johnson was put on injured reserve this week. David Johnson leads the NFL in yards from scrimmage and remains the starter.

As for the 49ers, they're also dealing with some injuries heading into Week 5. San Francisco lost inside linebacker Navorro Bowman (Achilles tendon) for the season.

The 49ers are also going without first-round pick DeForest Buckner (foot) and cornerbackJimmie Ward (quadricep). Both were ruled out Wednesday.

It's another Color Rush game ... sort of

It's "Thursday Night Football" and that also means it's a Color Rush Thursday in the NFL. Well, sort of. While the 49ers will be decked out in their all-black uniforms, the Cardinals are one of several teams that won't wear the Color Rush duds this season.

Why?

Well, the Cardinals also picked an all-black color scheme and the NFL doesn't want two teams wearing the same colored uniforms playing, as Ryan Wilson explains here. So, for tonight, Arizona opted for the traditional all-whites.

Here's a look at the Niners' uniforms for Thursday (they look pretty sweet):

Prisco's Pick

CBS Sports Senior Writer Pete Prisco's weighs in on Thursday night's game: The Cardinals will almost certainly be without Carson Palmer (concussion) in this one, so it means it's Drew Stanton time. Then again, the 49ers counter with Blaine Gabbert, who is struggling. Cardinals, even without Palmer, will win this one on the road.

Pick: Cardinals 23, 49ers 14

More 'TNF' on Twitter coming

While some viewers have experienced slight delays -- only about 35-45 seconds at most (a play or two) -- and others have experienced buffering issues (not really Twitter's fault), it's been considered a success.
