  • Mavericks' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Good to go against Memphis

Prosper (ankle) is available for Friday's game versus the Grizzlies. Prosper has been upgraded from questionable to available Friday despite dealing with a right ankle sprain. With Luka Doncic (personal) out and Tim Hardaway (back) questionable, the rookie forward could see an increase in minutes.

  • Mavericks' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Questionable for Friday

Prosper is questionable for Friday's game against the Grizzlies due to an ankle sprain, Grant Afseth of reports. Prosper has been on the fringes of the Mavericks' rotation this season, and it's unclear whether he'll be able to suit up Friday. His status shouldn't significantly impact the team's plans.

  • Mavericks' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Back with parent club

The Mavericks recalled Prosper from the G League's Texas Legends on Sunday. Prosper debuted with the Mavericks' G League affiliate Saturday, scoring 19 points while adding nine rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block in 32 minutes in a 114-110 win over the Oklahoma City Blue. Despite the strong showing in the G League, the rookie first-round draft pick is unlikely to be included in head coach Jason Kidd's rotation for Sunday's game against the Pelicans.

  • Mavericks' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Efficient in victory

Prosper amassed 18 points (7-12 FG, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal in 29 minutes during Friday's 112-91 Summer League win over the Pacers. Prosper has improved his scoring output throughout the Summer League but continues to be inconsistent with his outside shot. However, his primary path to playing time as a rookie will likely be on the defensive end, as he brings impressive size and instincts.

  • Mavericks' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Aggressive against Warriors

Prosper tallied 17 points (3-7 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 8-10 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists and one steal in 33 minutes during Wednesday's 98-96 overtime Summer League win over Golden State. Prosper had his best offensive game of the Summer League, as he was efficient from the outside and earned numerous trips to the free-throw line. While his defensive abilities will likely be the reason he sees minutes early on, the rookie forward could see wide-open looks from the three-point line due to the defensive attention that Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving will receive.

  • Mavericks' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Flashes defensively

Prosper recorded 10 points (2-8 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 6-9 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 24 minutes during Monday's 111-103 Summer League win over the 76ers. Prosper is still very raw on offense and struggled with his efficiency Monday. While he is unlikely to receive a major role for the Mavericks during the regular season, his defensive potential could be exactly what Dallas needs next to Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic.

  • Mavericks' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Selected No. 24, traded to Dallas

Prosper was selected by the Kings with the No. 24 pick but will be traded to the Mavericks, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Prosper will provide a much-needed defensive spark to a Dallas lineup that was awful on that end of the floor down the stretch of last season. Though he profiles as a bit of a 'tweener at 6-foot-7, 212 pounds, he's shown the ability to guard on the perimeter and down low and moves very well for his size. Though he primarily utilizes his freakish athleticism and high motor to consistently seek out scoring opportunities at the rim, he also managed to knock down 33.9 percent of his three-point attempts last season at Marquette, offering upside for him to grow into a 3-and-D player at the NBA level. For right now, he's slated to battle Josh Green, Maxi Kleber and Justin Holiday for bench minutes on the wing, but his defensive prowess could thrust him into a significant role immediately.
