  • Jazz's Kenneth Lofton: Season-best outing off bench

Lofton supplied 27 points (10-16 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 7-7 FT), nine rebounds, eight assists and one steal over 35 minutes during Friday's 110-109 victory over the Clippers. Lofton led all players in Friday's contest in scoring while shooting a perfect mark from the free-throw line and ending one rebound and two assists shy of a triple-double. Lofton set a season high in scoring, surpassing the 20-point mark for the first time this year. His rebound total matched a season high, while his eight dimes set a season-high total.

  • Jazz's Kenneth Lofton: Fills stat sheet Thursday

Lofton totaled 14 points (5-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT), nine rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals in 27 minutes during Thursday's 124-121 victory over the Rockets. Lofton posted several season-high marks in Thursday's win, and the uptick in minutes is related to the fact the Jazz have nothing to play for down the stretch. Don't be surprised if Lofton hovers around the 20-minute mark in the final two games of the season as well.

  • Jazz's Kenneth Lofton: Recalled to NBA

The Jazz recalled Lofton from the G League's Salt Lake City Stars on Wednesday. With the Stars' G League campaign over, Lofton and Darius Bazley are set to spend the remainder of 2023-24 with the Jazz. However, neither player has made an appearance for the parent club since being signed.

  • Jazz's Kenneth Lofton: Headed back to NBA

  • Jazz's Kenneth Lofton: Recalled from G League

Utah recalled Lofton from the G League's Salt Lake City Stars in advance of Tuesday's game against Boston, Tony Jones of The Athletic reports. Lofton was assigned to to the G League earlier Tuesday, but he will officially be elevated to the Jazz' roster alongside fellow new roster addition Darius Bazley. That being said, Lofton played 30 minutes in Tuesday's victory over the Wisconsin Herd, so the Jazz aren't likely to open up a rotation spot for him against the Celtics.

  • Jazz's Kenneth Lofton: Joins Utah on three-year deal

Lofton and the Jazz agreed to a three-year, non-guaranteed contract Monday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Lofton will move on to his third organization of the season after stints with the Grizzlies and 76ers. Because the deal is non-guaranteed, the Jazz can get a risk-free look at Lofton. Given the Jazz's position in the standings in addition to their mounting injury list, Lofton will almost certainly get an opportunity to play rotational minutes at some point down the stretch.

  • Kenneth Lofton: Cut by 76ers

The 76ers waived Lofton on Friday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. During Lofton's limited time with the 76ers, he made just two appearances at the NBA level. The 21-year-old big man has been consistently dominant at the G League level, however, averaging 26.0 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 2.0 blocks, 1.1 three-pointers and 0.9 steals in 30.6 minutes per game over 13 appearances between the Delaware Blue Coats and Memphis Hustle. Upon clearing waivers, Lofton could attract interest from another NBA team on a 10-day or two-way deal.

  • 76ers' Kenneth Lofton: Logs five minutes off bench

Lofton (personal) tallied two points (1-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and one rebound over five minutes Wednesday in the 76ers' 127-104 loss to the Warriors. Lofton, one of Philadelphia's three two-way players, appeared in game for either the 76ers or the G League's Delaware Blue Coats for the first time since Jan. 10, after he had been out of action for most of the past month due to an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder as well as a personal matter. With the 76ers ruling out six other players to injuries, Lofton received some run off the bench in garbage time, but the second-year big man will likely head to Delaware once the NBA club is closer to full strength.

  • 76ers' Kenneth Lofton: Out again

Lofton (personal) is listed as out for Monday's game against the Trail Blazers. Lofton hasn't appeared in a game for the 76ers or the G League's Delaware Blue Coats since Jan. 10. He had initially been dealing with an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder, but he now finds himself sidelined due to personal reasons for a second straight game. He will most likely make his next appearance in the G League whenever he's available.

  • 76ers' Kenneth Lofton: Won't play Saturday

Lofton (shoulder) is listed as out for Saturday's game versus Denver due to personal reasons. Lofton, one of the 76ers' three two-way players, hasn't seen any action at the NBA or G League level since Jan. 10 due to an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder. The 76ers are classifying his absence differently for Saturday's game, perhaps hinting that he's fully healed from the shoulder injury. In any case, Lofton is unlikely to factor into the Philadelphia frontcourt rotation anytime soon and is expected to make his next appearance in the G League whenever he's cleared to play again.

  • Kenneth Lofton: Officially waived

Lofton was waived by the Grizzlies on Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Lofton was a logical cut candidate with Memphis needing to clear a roster spot in advance of Ja Morant's return from a 25-game suspension Tuesday. Bismack Biyombo has entrenched himself as a part-time contributor in the Grizzlies' frontcourt since being signed in early November, and his initial addition to replace Steven Adams (knee) is what created the roster crunch. Across 31 G League appearances last season, Lofton shot 64.3 percent at the rim and 31.6 percent on his catch-and-shoot threes, so there is credence to him potentially being claimed by another franchise off waivers. Charania notes that Lofton is expected to receive free-agent interest if he goes unclaimed.

  • Grizzlies' Kenneth Lofton: On way out of Memphis

The Grizzlies are expected to waive Lofton when Ja Morant is eligible to return to the 15-man roster Tuesday following the conclusion of his 25-game suspension, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports. After taking home G League Rookie of the Year honors while playing on a two-way deal with Memphis in 2022-23, Lofton has been an occasional contributor to the rotation for the injury-riddled Grizzlies in his second NBA season. However, the 6-foot-6, 275-pound big man was ultimately deemed expendable after he averaged just 6.6 minutes per game across 15 appearances. The Grizzlies used the roster exemption they were granted with Morant's season-opening absence to sign Bismack Biyombo, and he looks as though he'll stick with the club on a more permanent basis since he's been a more valuable contributor to the rotation than Lofton this season. Though Lofton lacks athleticism and perimeter shooting, the dominance he displayed as a scorer and rebounder in the paint in the G League could allow him to catch on elsewhere as an end-of-roster player.

  • Grizzlies' Kenneth Lofton: Excels in second unit

Lofton closed Wednesday's 133-109 loss to the Jazz with 12 points (4-7 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-9 FT), five rebounds, two assists and two steals across 19 minutes. Luke Kennard struggled early and gave way to Lofton in the first quarter. The same thing occurred in the fourth quarter with David Roddy, where Lofton did most of his damage. He played well enough to keep Roddy off the floor for the rest of the contest. Although he had his best performance of the season Wednesday, he had totaled just six minutes of playing time over his first two appearances during the 2023-24 campaign, so he may struggle to replicate these results consistently.

  • Grizzlies' Kenneth Lofton: Impresses in loss

Lofton tallied 24 points (9-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-6 3Pt), 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals in 30 minutes during Wednesday's 83-74 Summer League loss to the Clippers. Lofton led both teams in scoring Wednesday. The 20-year-old big man has been one of the standout players of the Summer League so far and is poised for a bigger role in Memphis in 2023-24.

  • Grizzlies' Kenneth Lofton: Continues to flourish

Lofton recorded 15 points (5-12 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, four assists, four steals and one block in 28 minutes during Monday's 100-77 Summer League loss to the Cavaliers. Lofton has flashed his defensive potential through his first three Summer League appearances. However, his efficiency took a dip Monday. Lofton will likely compete with Santi Aldama for a rotation spot in 2023-24.
