  • Grizzlies' Zach Edey: Sets franchise record at rim

Edey posted eight points (3-4 FG, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and seven blocks over 33 minutes before fouling out of Saturday's 117-115 loss to the Thunder in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. It's the most blocks ever in a single playoff game by a Grizzlies rookie, and just two off the NBA rookie record set by Manute Bol in 1986. Edey had a strong finish to the regular season on the glass, averaging 10.6 points, 15.3 boards, 1.5 assists and 1.5 blocks over his first eight contests in April, and his defensive performance Saturday with the team's season on the line offers plenty of hope that he could take a big step forward as a sophomore in 2025-26.

  • Grizzlies' Zach Edey: Top rebounder in blowout defeat

Edey closed Sunday's 131-80 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 1 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with four points (2-5 FG, 0-1 FT), nine rebounds and one assist in 20 minutes. Edey had a quiet outing offensively in Sunday's Game 1, but he led the way on the glass by pacing all Grizzlies in rebounds and finishing one board shy of the double-digit mark. Edey was strong on the boards for Memphis during the regular season, hauling in nine or more rebounds in 29 contests. Look for Edey to continue to be a big part of the Grizzlies' effort to try and control the glass against a talented Thunder squad.

  • Grizzlies' Zach Edey: Another double-double Friday

Edey contributed 15 points (7-9 FG, 1-3 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 32 minutes during Friday's 120-106 Play-In Game win over Dallas. Edey continues to play his best basketball of the season, recording his second straight double-double. He has now logged at least 30 minutes in five consecutive games, playing typical starters minutes after consistency had been an issue throughout his rookie campaign. With Brandon Clarke (knee) unavailable for the remainder of the season, Edey has been thrust into a more sizeable role. In 13 games over the past month, he has averaged 10.3 points, 11.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 26.4 minutes per game. He should continue to play a crucial role when the Grizzlies take on the Thunder in the first round of the playoffs, a team that has the ability to play big, with the likes of Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein.

  • Grizzlies' Zach Edey: Big double-double against Dubs

Edey closed Tuesday's 121-116 Play-In Game loss to the Warriors with 14 points (4-11 FG, 6-8 FT), 17 rebounds and two assists in 33 minutes. The rookie center once again dominated the glass. Edey has pulled down at least 16 boards in five of seven appearances since the beginning of April, but Tuesday's game was the first during that stretch in which he didn't record at least one block. Edey will likely need to continue coming up big in the paint Friday as the Grizzlies get one more chance to secure a playoff spot.

  • Grizzlies' Zach Edey: Off report for Play-In Game

Edey (ankle) is off the injury report for Tuesday's Play-In Game against the Warriors. Edey is set to return to game action after missing Sunday's win over the Mavericks in Memphis' regular-season finale. The rookie big man has started in each of his last eight appearances, averaging 9.3 points, 13.4 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 1.4 assists across 27.8 minutes per contest in that span.

  • Grizzlies' Zach Edey: Grabs 16 boards in loss

Edey racked up eight points (3-4 FG, 2-4 FT), 16 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal in 33 minutes during Friday's 117-109 loss to Denver. Edey continues to dominate the glass, hauling down at least 16 rebounds for the third time in the past four games. His role has solidified following a season-ending knee injury to Brandon Clarke. Edey has now played at least 28 minutes in six consecutive games, serving as more of a typical starting center.

  • Grizzlies' Zach Edey: Dominates glass in victory

Edey amassed 17 points (7-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 19 rebounds, one block and three steals over 31 minutes during Tuesday's 124-100 victory over the Hornets. Edey has been a glass-crashing machine as of late, averaging 17.3 boards per contest across his last four outings. The rookie big man isn't quite a consistent double-double threat due to his inconsistent scoring output, but he was Memphis' third-leading scorer Tuesday. Edey has also blocked at least one shot in each of his last seven appearances.

  • Grizzlies' Zach Edey: Pulls down 16 rebounds Tuesday

Edey contributed 10 points (4-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 16 rebounds, one assist and four blocks across 32 minutes during Tuesday's 134-125 loss to Golden State. Edey recorded a double-double for the second time across his last three starts, and the rookie big man continues to show he can be an imposing presence on the defensive end, either on the glass or as a rim protector. The offensive game is slowly coming around, but there's no question Edey has improved drastically since the start of the season, even if his numbers don't tell the whole story. The rookie is averaging 9.1 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game since the All-Star break.

  • Grizzlies' Zach Edey: Starting against Lakers

Edey will start Saturday's game against the Lakers. Edey will replace Santi Aldama in the first unit with the Grizzlies looking to shake things up after a blowout loss to the Thunder. As a starter this season, Edey holds averages of 8.7 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks.

  • Grizzlies' Zach Edey: Posts 15 points in blowout

Edey accumulated 15 points (5-8 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and two steals across 21 minutes during Tuesday's 140-103 victory over the Jazz. Although Jay Huff got the first crack at absorbing Jaren Jackson's missing production, Edey took over and contributed seven points in the fourth quarter. Although Edey has been relegated to backup duty, he has the ability to rack up rebounds quickly when given the opportunity.

  • Grizzlies' Zach Edey: Moving back to bench role

Edey is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Clippers, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports. The Grizzlies have decided to tweak things in their frontcourt for this game, and Edey will move to a bench role since the starting frontcourt will feature Santi Aldama and Jaren Jackson. Edey is averaging 9.6 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game across 10 appearances in March.

  • Grizzlies' Zach Edey: Struggles in loss

Edey provided six points (2-4 FG, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and two assists across 11 minutes during Wednesday's 115-99 loss to Portland. Edey and Donovan Clingan started opposite each other, summoning memories of last year's NCAA Championship game. Clingan had Edey's number during Wednesday's loss, as foul trouble limited the rookie to only 11 minutes on the floor. Brandon Clarke (knee) went down with an injury during the game, which may require a usage increase from Edey if the injury keeps Clarke out.

  • Grizzlies' Zach Edey: Iffy against Utah

Edey (ankle) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game versus the Jazz. Edey is in danger of missing his second straight contest Wednesday due to right ankle soreness. If the rookie big man is ruled out against Utah, Jay Huff could draw another start.

  • Grizzlies' Zach Edey: Questionable for Monday

Edey (ankle) is questionable for Monday's game against the Suns. Monday's game is the second leg of a back-to-back set, and Edey is battling some soreness in his right ankle. Brandon Clarke (knee) is also questionable, while Jaren Jackson (ankle) and Santi Aldama (calf) remain sidelined. GG Jackson may be asked to soak up a ton of minutes Monday.

  • Grizzlies' Zach Edey: Nabs double-double in loss

Edey ended Friday's 114-113 loss to the Knicks with 10 points (4-5 FG, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, two blocks and one assist over 24 minutes. Edey posted his ninth double-double of the season in an efficient outing Friday. The rookie big man also tied the game-high mark in blocks, recording his 15th outing with multiple swats. Edey has averaged 7.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocks across 20.6 minutes per game in his last five outings.

  • Grizzlies' Zach Edey: Starting for Rising Stars

Edey will start Sunday's All-Star Game semifinal against Shaq's OGs, per NBA broadcast. Edey and Team Rising Stars won the Rising Stars title and advanced to play in Sunday's All-Star Game tournament. Edey holds averages of 9.3 points and 9.3 rebounds in 20.3 minutes per contest over his last six appearances.

  • Grizzlies' Zach Edey: Quiet in Rising Stars event

Edey registered two points (1-1 FG) and two rebounds over 3:48 of playing time during Team C's 25-14 win over Team G League in the finals of the Rising Stars event Friday. Edey didn't have that much more production in the semifinals against Team T, finishing with four points, two rebounds and one assist over 10:40 of playing time, though he did finish with a plus-10 point differential. With Friday's finals victory, Edey and Team C will take on Team Shaq in the first round of Sunday's All-Star Game tournament.

  • Grizzlies' Zach Edey: Double-doubles in win

Edey posted 16 points (7-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 14 rebounds, one assist, one block and three steals over 25 minutes during Monday's 128-109 victory over the Spurs. Edey recorded his seventh double-double of his rookie season in what was one of his best performances despite being matched up with Victor Wembanyama. Edey is slowly trending up with averages of 12.6 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.8 blocks in 21.7 minutes over his last five games.

  • Grizzlies' Zach Edey: Sixth double-double Sunday

Edey closed with 14 points (6-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists and one block in 19 minutes during Sunday's 132-119 victory over Milwaukee. Edey lost some playing time down the stretch Sunday to Santi Aldama, but that didn't stop the former from producing his sixth double-double of the season. The rookie first-rounder continues to start for the Grizzlies, but he's yet to reach the 30-minute marker in a game this year. Even so, Edey remains a strong source of swats and boards to go with a high field-goal percentage for fantasy managers in category-based settings.

  • Grizzlies' Zach Edey: Imposing presence down low

Edey had 19 points (5-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 7-8 FT), seven rebounds, four blocks and two steals across 28 minutes during Saturday's 125-103 win over the Jazz. Edey was coming off a 13-point, 11-rebound double-double in the win over the Pelicans on Friday, but somehow, he was even better in the second leg of this back-to-back set. The 19 points were his third-best scoring mark of the campaign, and the four blocks tied his season-best output in that category. The Grizzlies have been very cautious with Edey's workload in his rookie year, but there's no question he seems to be trending in the right direction.
