Pippen provided 30 points (9-21 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 10-10 FT), 11 rebounds and four assists in 37 minutes before fouling out of Saturday's 117-115 loss to the Thunder in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. With Ja Morant (hip) sidelined, the Grizzlies had little chance of avoiding a sweep, but Pippen very nearly kept his team alive with a career-best scoring effort and his first career playoff double-double. The third-year guard put together back-to-back huge efforts to close out Memphis' campaign, as he makes a case to be more than just a rotational option in 2025-26.... See More ... See Less

Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Lands career-high six triples
Pippen logged 28 points (8-16 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 6-6 FT), five rebounds, five assists, one block and three steals over 38 minutes during Thursday's 114-108 loss to the Thunder in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Pippen got the Grizzlies off to a tremendous start, connecting on four three-pointers in the first quarter. He ended with six triples, a career-best mark for the young guard. Ja Morant left the game late in the second quarter after taking a hard spill, with his availability for the next game in some doubt. Should Morant ultimately be ruled out, look for Pippen to once again step into a much larger role as Memphis looks to extend the series to five games.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Poor shooting in loss
Pippen accumulated 13 points (4-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds and one assist across 31 minutes during Tuesday's 118-99 loss to the Thunder in Game 2 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Pippen had a second straight rough game in the shooting department, as he's now gone 5-for-21 from the field during the first two games of this playoff series. The Vanderbilt product was one of five players for Memphis to score in double figures, but it was nowhere near enough to help propel the team to victory, resulting in a 2-0 deficit heading into Game 3.... Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Scores nine points in loss
Pippen supplied nine points (3-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, five assists and one steal in 34 minutes before fouling out of Tuesday's 121-116 Play-In Game loss to Golden State. Ja Morant tweaked his ankle in the loss, though the star guard insists he won't miss any time. However, if Morant's ankle gets the best of him, Pippen could be forced into a much larger role for the Grizzlies. Pippen is coming off a strong regular season, posting averages of 9.9 points, 4.4 assists, 3.3 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.1 three-pointers across 79 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Off injury report for Tuesday
Pippen (back) is off the injury report for Tuesday's Play-In Game against the Warriors. Pippen missed the club's regular-season finale in Sunday's win over the Mavericks due to low back soreness, though he's set to return for Tuesday's Play-In Game. The 24-year-old has averaged 13.3 points, 5.0 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals across 25.5 minutes per game in his last 10 outings (three starts).... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Doubtful to play Sunday
Pippen is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Mavericks due to low back soreness. The Grizzlies have already locked up a spot in the Play-In Tournament, so there's no point in risking some of their regular rotation members. The doubtful tag suggests Pippen might not play, and if he ends up being ruled out, Cam Spencer, John Konchar and Vince Williams could see more time in the backcourt. Other players such as Luke Kennard (knee), Desmond Bane (groin) and Ja Morant (shoulder) are also carrying doubtful tags.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Starting over Morant
Pippen is in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Pistons, Jonah Dylan of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports. Ja Morant was announced as a starter roughly 30 minutes before the 7 p.m. ET tipoff, but he was later ruled out with an illness, and now, Pippen will get the nod over him instead. In 20 starts this season, Pippen is averaging 14.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 1.7 steals across 26.6 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Sniffs triple-double
Pippen posted 17 points (5-10 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 10 rebounds, seven assists and five steals in 31 minutes during Thursday's 125-104 loss to Oklahoma City. Pippen was impressive in his third straight start due to the absence of Ja Morant (hamstring), and the former continues to show he can handle a bigger role in the rotation when needed. Pippen is having an absolute career-best season in 2024-25. He's scored in double digits in all but one of his last nine outings (three starts) while averaging 13.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 3.1 steals-plus-blocks per game in that stretch. As if that wasn't enough, Pippen is also shooting an impressive -- yet unsustainable -- 53.1 percent from three-point range over that nine-game stretch.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Dealing with wrist injury
Pippen is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Kings due to left wrist soreness. Pippen likely sustained the injury during the Grizzlies' 125-91 win over the Heat on Saturday. With Ja Morant (hamstring) sidelined Monday, Pippen will be slated to see a heavier workload if he's available to play. If Pippen is also out, however, the Grizzlies would likely turn to Luke Kennard and Desmond Bane to take on most of the ball-handling responsibilities.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Double-doubles off bench
Pippen produced 11 points (4-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, 11 assists, one block and two steals across 29 minutes during Saturday's 125-91 win over the Heat. Luke Kennard got the start at point guard due to the absence of Ja Morant (shoulder), but Pippen ended up delivering an excellent stat line. He was the primary playmaking option off the bench and orchestrated the offense beautifully when on the court, which led to him recording double-digit assists for the eighth time this season. As good as he was Saturday, however, Pippen's role remains inconsistent, and his minutes would shrink considerably if Morant is able to return Monday against the Kings.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Solid line off bench in loss
Pippen supplied 15 points (6-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, three assists and three steals across 21 minutes during Wednesday's 120-103 loss to the Thunder. Despite coming off the bench, Pippen was one of the standout performers for the Grizzlies, as he recorded three or more tallies in four of the five major categories while also showing an efficient touch from the floor. Pippen doesn't have a significant role off the bench if Ja Morant is available, so fantasy managers should see Pippen as a potential streaming option, but not much else in most formats.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Iffy for Wednesday
Pippen (toe) has been listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Thunder. Pippen has played a significant role for the Grizzlies this season, especially when Ja Morant (shoulder) can't play, and Morant is also listed as questionable for this game. Pippen has missed only one game during the 2024-25 campaign, averaging 9.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game. If he can't go Wednesday, Memphis may have to lean on Luke Kennard in the backcourt.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Coming off bench Monday
Pippen is not in the Grizzlies' starting lineup against the Hawks on Monday. Pippen started in Saturday's 130-128 loss to the Spurs, and he finished with 12 points, seven assists, four rebounds and one steal over 28 minutes. Even with Ja Morant (shoulder) ruled out for Monday's game, Pippen will come off the bench while Luke Kennard enters the Grizzlies' starting five.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Solid output in starting role
Pippen supplied 12 points (5-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, seven assists and one steal over 28 minutes during Saturday's 130-128 loss to the Spurs. Pippen entered the starting lineup due to the absence of Ja Morant (shoulder) and posted a solid stat line, finishing just three assists away from a double-double. It's unclear if Morant will have to spend some time on the sidelines, but Pippen's near-term fantasy value will be directly tied to Morant's availability. Pippen is averaging 13.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game when deployed in a starting role.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Steps up with game-high 10 assists
Pippen finished Sunday's 132-119 victory over Milwaukee with nine points (4-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-5 FT), five rebounds, 10 assists, one block and four steals across 23 minutes. With Ja Morant out with a shoulder injury, Pippen handed out his most assists since dishing out 12 during the Dec. 8 win over Washington. The second-year guard hasn't started a game since Jan. 6 despite Morant's absence, but Pippen has maintained a stable role in Memphis' rotation. That said, Pippen has reached double-digit scoring figures in just one of his last 12 games and doesn't have a clear pathway to consistent fantasy value while Desmond Bane is healthy for the Grizzlies.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Muted scoring in win
Pippen closed with zero points (0-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds, four assists and two steals over 16 minutes during Wednesday's 132-120 victory over the Hornets. Pippen failed to score in just his second game this season during Wednesday's victory. Since returning to the bench, Pippen has averaged 3.6 points, 3.4 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 15.0 minutes across seven appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Retreats to bench Thursday
Pippen will come off the bench in Thursday's game against Houston, Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian reports. With Ja Morant (shoulder) returning from a five-game absence Thursday, Pippen will slide back to the bench. Over his last 10 outings (six starts), the 24-year-old has averaged 12.9 points, 4.2 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 23.8 minutes per contest.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Stuffs stat sheet in win
Pippen logged 18 points (6-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five boards, five steals, four assists and a block in 28 minutes of action during the 119-104 win over the Grizzlies on Monday. The third-year guard has excelled as a starter this season, and his performance with the first unit in Monday's contest was no different. He particularly shined on the defensive side of the ball, where he set a career-high mark in steals. Ja Morant (shoulder), Desmond Bane (ankle) and Marcus Smart (finger) have murky return timetables, but so long as they remain sidelined, Pippen should remain firmly in the first unit. His next outing comes Thursday against the Rockets.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Held to two points
Pippen posted two points (0-5 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal over 22 minutes during Tuesday's 117-112 victory over the Suns. Ja Morant is week-to-week with a Grade 1 AC joint sprain in his right shoulder, and Pippen is likely to continue starting in the meantime. His production over his past two starts has left a lot to be desired, however, as he averaged just 6.0 points, 4.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds, 1.0 steals, 1.5 blocks and 0.5 three-pointers.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Fills in with double-double
Pippen accumulated 14 points (6-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-3 FT), three rebounds, 12 assists and two steals in 22 minutes during Sunday's 140-112 win over the Wizards. Pippen showed Memphis' depth on a night where both teams were depleted with injuries. Thanks to Pippen, the Grizzlies have gone 7-4 without Ja Morant's (back) services, as the Vanderbilt product has performed admirably during the superstar's absences. Despite his success as a fill-in, Pippen's numbers don't merit fantasy consideration, barring a significant absence from Morant.... See More ... See Less
