Horton-Tucker closed Monday's 117-103 loss to the Suns with 16 points (7-18 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 0-4 FT), eight rebounds, eight assists and one steal across 35 minutes. Horton-Tucker closed to within two rebounds and two assists of a triple-double Monday, a strong start to the week for anyone holding him in standard formats. Unfortunately, his percentages remain an issue, as does his tendency to turn the ball over. If you can look beyond his glaring flaws, he should remain a must-roster player ROS.... See More ... Jazz's Talen Horton-Tucker: Logs 21 minutes in win
Horton-Tucker posted 10 points (3-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds and four assists over 21 minutes during Monday's 128-120 victory over the Kings. Horton-Tucket got the start but didn't make a significant impact, struggling from the field and barely reaching double-digit scoring figures as Kris Dunn outplayed him with a double-double off the bench. Horton-Tucker has been playing well since being promoted to the starting unit, though, averaging 15.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game over his last 11 appearances.... See More ... Jazz's Talen Horton-Tucker: Flirts with triple-double
Horton-Tucker finished Saturday's 119-111 victory over the Hornets with 37 points (14-24 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 7-8 FT), 10 assists and eight rebounds in 32 minutes. With Jordan Clarkson (finger) sitting out a third straight game and Collin Sexton (hamstring) still sidelined indefinitely, Horton-Tucker has stepped in as the primary playmaker out of the Utah backcourt. He delivered the best all-around effort of his young career Saturday, falling just three points shy of a personal best in scoring and narrowly missing out on a triple-double. With averages of 27.0 points, 7.3 assists, 5.0 rebounds, 1.7 three-pointers and 1.0 steals in 32.0 minutes per game over his last three outings, Horton-Tucker needs to be rostered in the majority of leagues, at least until one of Clarkson or Sexton is back in the mix. However, with Utah playing just two games during the upcoming week, Horton-Tucker may not make for a strong option in leagues that set their lineups just once.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Talen Horton-Tucker: Ties season high with 23 points
Horton-Tucker racked up 23 points (10-18 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound, eight assists and one steal in 30 minutes during Thursday's 131-124 victory over the Magic. Horton-Tucker scored at least 20 points for a second straight game and tied his season high with 23. He also dished out his most assists since Feb. 10 and notched his fourth game of the campaign with at least eight dimes. With Jordan Clarkson (finger) and Collin Sexton (hamstring) both out, the 2019 second-round pick has drawn seven straight starts and is averaging 14.0 points, 4.7 assists, 4.3 rebounds, 1.1 blocks and 0.9 steals in 28.3 minutes during that stretch.... Jazz's Talen Horton-Tucker: Reaches 20-point threshold
Horton-Tucker amassed 21 points (7-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 6-7 FT), six rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals in 34 minutes during Tuesday's 120-116 loss to the Mavericks. Horton-Tucker scored 20-plus points for the first time since Feb. 11, and he did so by shooting 50.0 percent from the field. He also was busy at the charity stripe, where he knocked down six of seven tries. Horton-Tucker has now started six straight games and is averaging 12.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.3 blocks over this stretch.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Talen Horton-Tucker: Strong run continues Tuesday
Horton-Tucker amassed 16 points (7-14 FG, 2-3 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one steal across 30 minutes during Tuesday's 102-94 loss to the Spurs. Horton-Tucker continues to serve as the primary ball-handler for the Jazz, affording him plenty of run on a nightly basis. Often seen as a potential 12-team asset, this is the first time Horton-Tucker has been able to string together more than two or three games of value. Collin Sexton (hamstring) is going to miss at least another week of action, meaning Horton-Tucker should be added everywhere for now.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Talen Horton-Tucker: Starting Thursday
Horton-Tucker will join the first five for Thursday's game against the Thunder, Joe Mussatto of The Oklahoman reports. Horton-Tucker received 32 minutes his last time out after Collin Sexton (hamstring) left the contest in the first quarter, and he will take Sexton's starting spot Thursday. In his last five appearances, Horton-Tucker has averaged 13.8 points, 7.0 assists and 1.2 blocks across 25.8 minutes. He should see as many minutes as he can handle against the Thunder.... Jazz's Talen Horton-Tucker: Delivers with increased role
Horton-Tucker posted 15 points (5-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-5 FT), seven rebounds, seven assists and two blocks over 32 minutes during Wednesday's 117-111 loss to the Grizzlies. When Collin Sexton (hamstring) left in the first quarter, Horton-Tucker's role saw an immediate boost. He produced a solid all-around game, which even included a couple of blocks. The 22-year-old is averaging exactly seven assists over the last five games. If Sexton were to miss time after the All-Star break, Horton-Tucker could have some relevance with an expanded role.... Jazz's Talen Horton-Tucker: Provides 23 points in loss
Horton-Tucker produced 23 points (8-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 6-8 FT), seven assists, two rebounds, one block and one steal over 27 minutes during Saturday's 126-120 loss to the Knicks. Horton-Tucker has been one of the early winners in the aftermath of the trade deadline, as he's settled into a 20-plus-minute role over the past three games with the Jazz having parted ways with three rotation players (Mike Conley, Jarred Vanderbilt and Malik Beasley). The Jazz could eventually add deadline pickup Russell Westbrook to the mix if the veteran point guard doesn't opt to pursue a buyout, and while the arrival of Westbrook would likely cap his minutes upside, Horton-Tucker should at least maintain a spot as a second-unit wing alongside Ochai Agbaji. Over his last three games, Horton-Tucker is averaging 15.7 points, 7.0 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks, numbers that make him worth keeping an eye on in 12-team category leagues if not immediately adding.... Jazz's Talen Horton-Tucker: Flirts with triple-double
Horton-Tucker amassed nine points (3-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-5 FT), seven rebounds, eight assists and two blocks over 27 minutes during Friday's 122-116 victory over the Raptors. It was Ochai Agbaji who got the start in place of Jordan Clarkson (illness), but Horton-Tucker made a more significant impact in this one. Horton-Tucker usually offers a good amount of upside in counting stats when the minutes are there, but his shooting percentages and turnovers hold him back in category leagues.... See More ... Jazz's Talen Horton-Tucker: Resurfaces in rotation
Horton-Tucker finished Wednesday's 143-118 loss to the Timberwolves with 15 points (6-12 FG, 3-3 FT), six assists, one rebound and one block in 24 minutes. After failing to leave the bench in each of the previous four games in coach's decision, Horton-Tucker reclaimed a spot in the rotation with Utah shipping out all of Mike Conley, Jarred Vanderbilt and Malik Beasley ahead of Wednesday's contest in a three-team deal involving the Lakers and Timberwolves. The Jazz received three players back in the deal, but Russell Westbrook appears likely to be bought out by Utah, while Juan Toscano-Anderson and Damian Jones look to be fringe rotation options, at best. As a result, Horton-Tucker looks as though he could have a pathway to a regular role on the second unit, barring any major chances to the Utah roster ahead of Thursday's trade deadline.... Jazz's Talen Horton-Tucker: Pops for season-high 20 points
Horton-Tucker notched 20 points (5-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 8-10 FT), six rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 28 minutes during Saturday's 118-117 loss to the 76ers. Horton-Tucker made the most of a bad situation, taking home a season-high scoring total as the Jazz almost pulled off an upset of the 76ers. While Saturday's outing was certainly an encouraging one for Horton-Tucker, the fact he has played more than 20 minutes on only five occasions this season needs to be accounted for when considering him in fantasy.... Jazz's Talen Horton-Tucker: Good to go Friday
Horton-Tucker (ankle) is available for Friday's game versus the Magic, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Horton-Tucker has been upgraded from questionable to available Friday after missing the previous two games with a right ankle sprain. The 22-year-old forward is averaging 4.4 points and 2.0 assists in 11.4 minutes across his last five appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Talen Horton-Tucker: Iffy versus Orlando
Horton-Tucker (ankle) is questionable for Friday's game against the Jazz. Horton-Tucker may miss his third straight game due to a right ankle sprain. If he's unable to suit up against Orlando, his next chance to play is Saturday's matchup with Philadelphia.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Talen Horton-Tucker: Out again
Horton-Tucker (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's matchup against Cleveland, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Horton-Tucker was a late scratch ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Grizzlies due to an ankle injury after posting 12 points and five assists during Saturday's loss to the Bulls. The severity of the issue remains unclear, but he'll remain out for at least one additional contest. Collin Sexton (hamstring) also remains out, so Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Malik Beasley and Ochai Agbaji will be candidates for increased roles behind Mike Conley and Jordan Clarkson for a second straight game.... Jazz's Talen Horton-Tucker: Gets 20 minutes Saturday
Horton-Tucker totaled 12 points (4-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five assists, one rebound and one steal over 20 minutes during Saturday's 126-118 loss to the Bulls. After a recent stretch of five straight games in which he was outside of the rotation, Horton-Tucker has re-entered the Jazz's backcourt mix the past two games in place of Nickeil Alexander-Walker, who hasn't left the bench in coach's decisions. Horton-Tucker looks as though he'll hold down a reserve role on the wing until the Jazz get Collin Sexton (hamstring) back from injury.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Talen Horton-Tucker: Only three minutes Tuesday
Horton-Tucker closed with one assist over three minutes during Tuesday's 126-111 victory over the Pistons. Horton-Tucker continues to be one of the more disappointing players thus far this season, logging a season-low three minutes Tuesday. Despite coming into what many saw as a favorable situation, his role has actually reduced when compared to previous years. Currently outside the top 300 in standard formats, even those in deeper leagues would be better off targeting a player with more intrigue given Horton-Tucker's current role.... See More ... Jazz's Talen Horton-Tucker: Returns to bench
Horton-Tucker isn't in the starting five for Tuesday's matchup with New Orleans, Eric Walden of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Horton-Tucker will be replaced by Lauri Markkanen in the starting lineup Tuesday after the 22-year-old forward started Saturday. Horton-Tucker posted a season-high 19 points against the Nuggets in his last outing.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Talen Horton-Tucker: Turns things around Saturday
Horton-Tucker produced 19 points (8-18 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and two blocks across 34 minutes during Saturday's 115-110 loss to the Nuggets. Horton-Tucker bucked the recent trend, delivering a well-rounded performance in the loss. Prior to Saturday, he had scored a grand total of 11 points across his last four games, including a zero-point performance only 24 hours prior. The Jazz were without the bulk of their backcourt, affording Horton-Tucker a nice opportunity. However, this is unlikely to stick, meaning there is no real reason to prioritize him outside of very deep formats.... See More ... See Less
