  • Raptors' RJ Barrett: Explodes for 37 points

Barrett racked up 37 points (15-20 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and one block across 38 minutes during Sunday's 119-116 victory over the Heat. Barrett's numbers have been brilliant recently, and the return of Scottie Barnes hasn't affected the former's production in the slightest. Sunday's total came two points short of his season high, which he recorded two weeks ago against the Pacers. The powerful one-two punch of Barrett and Barnes will serve the Raptors well as they try to stay competitive in the Eastern Conference.

  • Raptors' RJ Barrett: Puts up 25 points

Barrett notched 25 points (10-18 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds and seven assists in 39 minutes during Friday's 121-111 loss to the Heat. Barrett led the Raptors in scoring Friday, and he continues to deliver consistent high-end numbers every time he steps on the hardwood. Even though Scottie Barnes and Jakob Poeltl have been productive fantasy options as well, Barrett has strong upside in his own right and has been living up to the hype. He's scored at least 20 points in six of his last eight games, averaging 24.6 points, 7.0 assists and 6.9 rebounds per game in that stretch.

  • Raptors' RJ Barrett: Teases triple-double in win

Barrett had 22 points (8-15 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-7 FT), eight rebounds and 11 assists across 33 minutes during Wednesday's 119-93 win over the Pelicans. The 24-year-old wing nearly recorded his second triple-double of the season, with the first coming Nov. 16 against the Celtics. Barrett has dropped at least 16 points in seven straight games, averaging 24.6 points, 7.0 boards, 7.0 assists and 2.0 threes over that stretch as he continues to see career-best usage on a Raptors roster that doesn't have many other options due to so many injuries.

  • Raptors' RJ Barrett: Struggles with shot Sunday

Barrett amassed 16 points (6-18 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-6 FT), six rebounds, six assists and one block over 33 minutes during Sunday's 122-108 loss to Cleveland. Barrett didn't have a good shooting performance Sunday, although he salvaged his line with his strong contributions in other categories, such as rebounds and assists. Despite the occasional shooting woes, Barrett is having a strong season with the Raptors, but he's arguably going through his most productive stretch of late. He's averaging 26.6 points, 7.6 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game over his last five contests.

  • Raptors' RJ Barrett: Surpasses 30 points as top scorer

Barrett logged 31 points (10-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 10-12 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and three steals in 35 minutes during Thursday's 110-105 victory over the Timberwolves. Barrett led the way for Toronto in Thursday's contest, leading all players in scoring and free throws made while swiping a team-leading trio of steals in a well-rounded performance. Barrett has scored north of 30 points in five contests this season, including in two straight outings.

  • Raptors' RJ Barrett: Scores season-high 39 points

Barrett produced 39 points (13-21 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 9-12 FT), nine rebounds and five assists across 36 minutes during Monday's 130-119 win over the Pacers. Barrett was coming off posting the first triple-double of his career in the Nov. 16 loss to the Celtics, and he backed that up by notching his best scoring output of the current campaign. This was Barrett's fourth game with at least 30 points this season, and he's also recorded 22 or more points in his past three appearances.

  • Raptors' RJ Barrett: Logs first career triple-double

Barrett registered 25 points (10-27 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-9 FT), 15 assists, 10 rebounds, one steal and one block over 42 minutes in Saturday's 126-123 overtime loss to the Celtics. Playing on a second leg of a back-to-back, Barrett and Jakob Poeltl gave the NBA defending champions everything they could handle. While Barrett's final shooting numbers don't look great on paper, he consistently made timely buckets to keep the short-handed Raptors in the game, though his missed free throws in the fourth quarter ultimately allowed the Celtics to force overtime. Not only were his 15 assists a career high, but he also finished the game with the first triple-double of his NBA career. Since Nov. 1, Barrett has averaged 20.9 points, 6.9 assists, 6.6 rebounds and 1.0 steals over 34.6 minutes per game.

  • Raptors' RJ Barrett: Scores 22 points Friday

Barrett closed Friday's 99-95 loss to the Pistons with 22 points (6-18 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 8-9 FT), six rebounds, seven assists and one block over 34 minutes. Barrett didn't have his best shooting performance since he nailed just 33 percent of his shots from the field and from three-point range, but he still finished as Toronto's second-best scorer behind Jakob Poeltl, who posted a season-high 25 points in this loss. Barrett remains a consistent scoring weapon for the Raptors, though it must be noted that he's reached the 20-point mark just twice in his last six outings. He's averaging 16.5 points per game while shooting 33.3 percent from the field in that stretch.

  • Raptors' RJ Barrett: Shooting woes surface Sunday

Barrett had 18 points (5-15 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 7-9 FT), seven rebounds and four assists in 36 minutes during Sunday's 123-103 loss to the Lakers. Barrett didn't have his best performance Sunday and had a rough showing from the field, making just 33.3 percent of his field goals. However, he salvaged his line a bit by posting solid numbers in the rebounding and assists categories. Even if he has an off night from time to time, Barrett should remain one of the Raptors' primary offensive options on a game-to-game basis.

  • Raptors' RJ Barrett: Poor shooting effort Saturday

Barrett logged 13 points (6-15 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 0-2 FT), six rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals over 30 minutes during Saturday's 105-103 loss to the Clippers. Barrett started the season on a strong note with three performances of at least 30 points in his first four games, but he has failed to reach the 25-point mark in his subsequent three outings. This 13-point performance was a season-low mark for the former Duke standout, but Barrett has a big-enough role and shoots enough to believe this should be nothing more than just an off night for the six-year veteran.

  • Raptors' RJ Barrett: Stays hot vs. Kings

Barrett racked up 31 points (10-26 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 8-11 FT), nine rebounds, six assists and one steal in 40 minutes during Saturday's 131-128 overtime victory over Sacramento. Barrett turned in his third consecutive 30-plus point performance despite knocking down only 38.5 percent of his attempts from the field. He also contributed in a big way on the glass and as a distributor, resulting in a massive night across the board for fantasy managers. Expect the offense to continue to run through Barrett until Immanuel Quickley (pelvis) and Scottie Barnes (orbital) are cleared to return.

  • Raptors' RJ Barrett: Double-doubles in loss

Barrett contributed 33 points (14-22 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and 12 assists in 32 minutes during Friday's 131-125 loss to the Lakers. Barrett recorded his first double-double of the season, although interestingly, he tallied double-digit assists as opposed to rebounds. While an injury delayed his start to the season, Barrett has hit the ground running, having now scored at least 30 points in consecutive games. Across three games, he is averaging 28.0 points to go with 4.7 rebounds, 7.7 assists and 3.0 three-pointers in 31.3 minutes per game. His assist numbers are sure to take a hit once the Raptors start getting healthy bodies back on the floor. However, until then, just sit back and enjoy the show.

  • Raptors' RJ Barrett: Goes for 31 points Wednesday

Barrett amassed 31 points (10-18 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 7-12 FT), four rebounds, eight assists and two steals over 33 minutes during Wednesday's 138-133 loss to the Hornets. Barrett led the Raptors in scoring in this contest and also ended just two assists away from a double-double. It's only been two games, but the star forward is enjoying an excellent start to the 2024-25 campaign. Barrett has scored a combined 51 points while shooting 19-for-39 from the field and 6-for-12 from deep. He'll aim to continue his strong start to the campaign against the Lakers on Friday.

  • Raptors' RJ Barrett: Scores 20 points in season debut

Barrett provided 20 points (9-21 FG, 2-6 3Pt), five rebounds and three assists over 29 minutes during Monday's 127-125 overtime loss to the Nuggets. Barrett didn't have his best shooting numbers, though that's somewhat expected since he suffered an injury in the preseason and this was his first taste of competitive basketball. Even if his shot isn't falling, Barrett will remain a valuable asset in most formats as long as he can hover around the 20-point mark while posting solid peripheral stats in most games.

  • Raptors' RJ Barrett: Deemed questionable for Monday

Barrett (shoulder) is questionable for Monday's matchup against the Nuggets, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Barrett has yet to suit up during the 2024-25 campaign and may miss his fourth consecutive regular-season game. If the 24-year-old is ruled out, Ochai Agbaji will likely get the start at small forward again, while Jamison Battle may receive an uptick in playing time.

  • Raptors' RJ Barrett: Ruled out vs. Minnesota

Barrett (shoulder) won't play Saturday against the Timberwolves, head coach Darko Rajakovic told Alan Horton of the Timberwolves Radio Network. The shoulder injury continues to bother Barrett, and the star forward will miss a third consecutive contest as a result. With Barrett out, Ochai Agbaji will likely get the start at small forward again, while Jamison Battle may receive an uptick in minutes. Barrett's next chance to play will come against the Nuggets on Monday.

  • Raptors' RJ Barrett: Iffy against Minnesota

Barrett (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game versus the Timberwolves, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports. Barrett is in danger of missing his third straight game to start the season while dealing with a right shoulder injury. However, Barrett being listed as questionable instead of doubtful is a good sign that he is nearing a return to action.

  • Raptors' RJ Barrett: Not playing Friday

Barrett (shoulder) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the 76ers, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Barrett is dealing with a right shoulder injury, though he was able to practice Thursday, which bodes well for his progression toward a return to game action. The 24-year-old is expected to play a prominent role on a rebuilding Raptors squad, but he will have to wait at least one more game to make his 2024-25 debut. With Barrett out, Ochai Agbaji will likely get the start at small forward again, while Jamison Battle may receive an uptick in minutes.

  • Raptors' RJ Barrett: Unlikely to play Friday

Barrett (shoulder) is listed as doubtful for Friday's game versus the 76ers, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports. Barrett is expected to miss his second straight contest Friday while dealing with a right shoulder injury. However, Barrett did practice Thursday, indicating he is making progress in his recovery. If the 24-year-old forward is ultimately ruled out, Ochai Agbaji should receive another start in his absence.

  • Raptors' RJ Barrett: Returns to practice

Barrett (shoulder) participated in Thursday's practice, Michael Grange of Sportsnet.ca reports. Barrett missed Toronto's regular-season opener Wednesday due to a sprain to the acromioclavicular joint in his right shoulder but was able to practice Thursday. The Raptors should release an official injury report at some point Thursday to clarify the 24-year-old forward's status for Friday's matchup with Philadelphia.
