  • Grizzlies' Rayan Rupert: Logs double-double in finale

Rupert provided 21 points (8-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 12 rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals across 42 minutes during Sunday's 132-101 loss to the Rockets. Rupert faced some injury issues late in the season, but he finished the campaign with a flurry of productive games and could be a net positive for the Grizzlies after moving over from Portland. There's ample room for promotion on this depleted squad, which will undergo a transformation in the offseason.

  • Grizzlies' Rayan Rupert: Starting vs. Houston

Rupert will start Sunday's game against the Rockets. Rupert will get the starting nod after dropping a double-double off the bench in Friday's loss to Utah. As a starter this season (seven games), the two-way player has averaged 10.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.6 steals in 31.6 minutes per game.

  • Grizzlies' Rayan Rupert: Logs double-double in defeat

Rupert logged 16 points (7-25 FG, 1-11 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 12 rebounds, four assists, one block and three steals across 40 minutes during Friday's 147-101 loss to Utah. The Grizzlies played with a slim six-player rotation during the loss, giving Rupert and a motley crew of backups ample minutes. Rupert joined the Grizzlies after failing to catch on in Portland, and the third-year pro has impressed with some upside totals in recent days. Rupert's size and speed give the Grizzles flexibility with the skills to fill in at several positions. If he stays with the team, he has a decent chance of making the roster and possibly cracking the rotation.

  • Grizzlies' Rayan Rupert: Unavailable Wednesday

Rupert (two-way) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets. Rupert will be held out of Wednesday's contest as the Grizzlies manage his availability while he remains signed to a two-way deal. He'll be eligible to play in both of Memphis' final two games after Wednesday.

  • Grizzlies' Rayan Rupert: Unavailable Monday

Rupert (two-way) is listed out for Monday's game against the Cavaliers. Though Rupert turned in a career-best performance in Sunday's loss to the Bucks with a triple-double (33 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists) to go with four steals and one block in 39 minutes, the Grizzlies will hold him out for the second leg of their back-to-back set in an effort to manage his availability. After Monday's contest, Rupert will be eligible to play in two of the Grizzlies' remaining three games while he's signed to a two-way deal.

  • Grizzlies' Rayan Rupert: Inactive Monday

Rupert (two-way) won't play in Monday's game against the Suns. In an effort to preserve Rupert's eligibility at the NBA level, the Grizzlies will opt to hold him out Monday. The two-way player's next chance to play will come Wednesday against New York. After Monday, he'll be eligible to play in four of Memphis' final seven games.

  • Grizzlies' Rayan Rupert: Starting Saturday

Rupert is part of the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Bulls. Rupert will make his fifth start of the campaign Saturday for the shorthanded Grizzlies. In his first four starts, he averaged 5.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.3 steals across 31.8 minutes.

  • Grizzlies' Rayan Rupert: Not playing Wednesday

Rupert (two-way) will be inactive for Wednesday's game versus the Spurs. After Wednesday, Rupert will be eligible to play in five of the Grizzlies' remaining 10 contests while he remains signed to a two-way contract. Rupert has now suited up for just two of the Grizzlies' last seven games while the team has managed his availability as the season winds down.

  • Grizzlies' Rayan Rupert: Inactive Saturday

Rupert (two-way) is inactive for Saturday's game against Charlotte. Rupert has limited availability for the rest of the season due to his status as a two-way player, and the Grizzlies are opting to hold him out Saturday while the team has 10 other players active for the contest. The third-year forward will be able to play in six of the Grizzlies' remaining 12 contests after Saturday.

  • Grizzlies' Rayan Rupert: Inactive Friday

Rupert (two-way) won't play in Friday's game against Detroit. Rupert had appeared in nine of Memphis' 11 games since the All-Star break and averaged 11.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.6 three-pointers, 1.4 steals and 1.0 assists in 29.0 minutes, though he won't suit up Friday as the Grizzlies manage his availability. The two-way player's next chance to suit up will come Monday against Chicago, but he's eligible to suit up for just seven of the Grizzlies' remaining 16 contests after Friday.

  • Grizzlies' Rayan Rupert: Starting Thursday

Rupert will start Thursday versus Dallas. Joining Rupert in the starting lineup for Thursday's game will be Javon Small, Jaylen Wells, GG Jackson and Olivier-Maxence Prosper. • Grizzlies' Rayan Rupert: Sitting out Saturday

Rupert (two-way) will be inactive for Saturday's game against the Clippers. Rupert -- who recently re-signed with the Grizzlies on a two-way contract after originally joining the team on a 10-day deal -- had appeared in each of the last six games while averaging 9.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.7 steals, 1.2 three-pointers and 1.0 assists in 27.5 minutes per game. Due to the nature of his contract, Rupert will be able to suit up in just 10 of the Grizzlies' remaining 21 games. With all of Ty Jerome (calf), Scotty Pippen (toe), Taylor Hendricks (illness) and Cedric Coward (knee) back in action for Saturday's contest after sitting out the previous game, the Grizzlies will opt to hold Rupert out in order to preserve some of his availability.

  • Grizzlies' Rayan Rupert: Starting Wednesday

Rupert will start Wednesday's game against the Trail Blazers. After signing a two-way pact with Memphis on Wednesday following the conclusion of his 10-day contract, Rupert will enter the starting lineup with the team extremely shorthanded. Over five games with Memphis, the 21-year-old has averaged 10.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.2 assists in 26.6 minutes per contest.

  • Rayan Rupert: Heads to open market

Rupert became a free agent Wednesday after his 10-day contract with the Grizzlies expired, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports. After signing his 10-day deal Feb. 22, Rupert had been a regular part of the rotation for each of the Grizzlies' ensuing five games, averaging 10.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.6 steals, 1.2 assists and 1.2 three-pointers in 26.6 minutes per contest. The Grizzlies could look to re-sign the third-year wing to a second 10-day deal ahead of Wednesday's game against the Trail Blazers, or potentially bring Rupert back on a two-way deal in order to upgrade Olivier-Maxence Prosper from his two-way pact to a standard contract.

  • Grizzlies' Rayan Rupert: Season-high 16 points off bench

Rupert accumulated 16 points (4-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 6-6 FT), six rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 33 minutes during Sunday's 125-106 victory over the Pacers. The 16 points were a season high for Rupert, who also chipped in a full stat line. With Ja Morant (elbow) out indefinitely, Rupert is slowly becoming a player for deep-league fantasy managers to consider. Over his past four contests, Rupert has averaged 9.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.3 assists in 27.2 minutes per game.

  • Grizzlies' Rayan Rupert: Gets opportunity with Memphis

The Grizzlies are slated to sign Rupert to a 10-day contract, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Rupert was waived by the Trail Blazers on Friday, but the 2023 second-rounder will get another chance with the Grizzlies for at least the next 10 days. Before being let go by Portland, Rupert was averaging 2.9 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.7 assists over 12.0 minutes per game. He gives Memphis depth in the backcourt but faces stiff competition for playing time off the bench.

  • Rayan Rupert: Waived by Portland

The Trail Blazers waived Rupert on Friday, Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland reports. The Trail Blazers needed a roster spot after agreeing to a two-year deal with Sidy Cissoko. Rupert made 48 regular-season appearances for Portland with averages of 2.9 points and 1.8 rebounds.

  • Trail Blazers' Rayan Rupert: Wakes up with 13-point effort

Rupert totaled 13 points (5-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal in 27 minutes during Tuesday's 119-97 loss to the Warriors. The 21-year-old Frenchman is a key developmental player for the Trail Blazers, and he's been a fixture on the bench for most of the season despite short stints in the G League. His 13-point showing marked his second-best showing of the season and his third consecutive double-digit finish. Although his performances have been encouraging, his usefulness may be coming to an end with Jrue Holiday close to 100 percent.

  • Trail Blazers' Rayan Rupert: Recalled by Portland

Rupert has been recalled by the Trail Blazers on Monday. Rupert played for the Rip City Remix in the G League on Monday, tallying 12 points (5-15 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 0-2 FT), 14 rebounds, six assists, three steals and a block across 32 minutes. He'll add depth to the Blazers on the wings, but it's unclear if he'll see any meaningful minutes. The Blazers' next game will be against the Kings on Thursday.

  • Trail Blazers' Rayan Rupert: Scores in double digits

Rupert recorded 10 points (4-7 FG, 2-2 3Pt), five rebounds and one steal in 16 minutes during Sunday's 122-95 loss to Oklahoma City. The Trail Blazers struggled on offense throughout the game, but Rupert had a solid performance after scoring in double digits for the first time this season. He enjoyed an uptick in minutes due to the blowout nature of this game, but fantasy managers need to be cautious with what he might bring to the table. He's buried on the depth chart, so he's not expected to play regularly going forward. After all, this was his first outing of the season in which he played 10 or more minutes, and he'll likely revert to that type of role when Jrue Holiday (calf) and Shaedon Sharpe (calf) are cleared to play again.
