Wallace saw the bulk of his production come in fourth-quarter garbage time during the blowout loss. Undrafted in 2021, the rookie out of UTSA is on a two-way deal with the Hawks and is getting some extra burn as the team deals with injuries. Despite the situation in which he racked up Monday's numbers, his active defense was encouraging and may be worth noting as Trae Young (ribs) left the game. If Young misses any time, Wallace could be in line for even more action.

Wallace suited up for Atlanta's G League affiliate, the College Park Skyhawks, during the 2023-24 season, appearing 16 games while averaging 12.9 points, 6.1 assists, 4.3 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.3 three-pointers in 30.0 minutes per contest. He's continued to make an impression for the Hawks in the Las Vegas Summer League and will now head into training camp as one of the organization's three two-way players. Wallace has yet to make his NBA debut since going undrafted out of UTSA in 2021-22.

Wallace joined Atlanta on a training camp deal in late September, but he's been let go with the preseason now underway. The 24-year-old has yet to debut in the NBA but played in the G League the past two years, and he averaged 14.6 points, 4.6 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 32.6 minutes last season.
